  1. The user "Putting It Back" recently came into DHI Florida for his FUE procedure of 900 grafts. This included the hairline, and filling in a small scar on the back of his head. He posted his post op results here: [link removed by forum moderator for promotional content - Robert] Attatched are some more photos of the donor area. 3. On average does the donor scar stick out, like a bump? Or is it flat with the rest of your skin? I am wondering because if I get it filled in by FUE and then shave my head super short if you'd see a bump or it would be un-noticable. And the size of the donor scar I am talking about would be one that was used for roughly 1500 grafts.

  5. Hairworthy, I would get the same density all over, I wouldn't have it more dense in the front than the back. And I've heard the story about lowerered hairlines - ten years later. I don't want to be lectured about that again, I've researched it a lot and understand that it's a life commitment. Luckily there is no hairloss in my family history, but then again it doesn't mean I won't lose hair, so I have to think ahead, I am hoping by then cloning will be available, whether it is or not, I am commited. I am young, I won't say my age as I will probably get more lectures, I've done my research and am now finishing up my research before I go in for surgery. It's my personal choice to get a hair transplant to better my confidence so I can live my life like I used to.
  6. Thanks for responding. Do you know if I got 45 grafts per sqcm and shaved my head very short if I'd notice a different in the density of the transplanted hairs and my natural hair?
  7. Yet another density question Is it possible for a doctor to transplant 70-80 grafts per sqcm if the donor area permits it? I have 22sqcm of area that needs to be filled in to create a lower hairline, and would like it to look as natural as possible. I also wear my hair very short sometimes shaved so it is important to have natural results. Total that would be around 1600 grafts. Regardless of the donor scar would you recommend FUE or FUT for natural dense results?

  9. please correct me if i am wrong. copper and/or these products listed help minimize the appearance of scars?
  10. maybe his new found confidence made him forget about us lol
  11. Ok, any idea on pricing to fill in a strip scar with FUE? How many grafts do you think that would be? 50?
  12. Well the reason I would do strip first is because the results look better at this time, I haven't seen many great results with FUE. I am worried about the moth-eaten look, and the shortage of experienced doctors. Also the price, FUT is much cheaper than FUE so I would be saving money by getting FUT then fill in my scar with FUE. Of course money isn't a big issue because it's quality over price.
  13. If I decide to go with strip surgery, then I will want to fill in my donor scar later with FUE. Any idea on the average cost for FUE donor scar repair? I'm worried they will charge a minimum of like $3000, any and all thoughts are appreciated.
