  1. thanks for sharing your experiences. With my next transplant I plan to do the same thing. your scar looks great. now how about the rest of your head? can you post a pic?
  2. most of our highly elected officials have a full head of hair too. random, i know.
  3. man your story is great. Cant wait to see the next update with photos. ya this is not in a good place.. breaking the stream of thought. but let me add. PLEASE do not create any miracles with butt hair. it just aint right. Cas
  4. Perhaps you can come down with a sudden illness (not real) and stay out another week or so? or perhaps make an excuse that someone died in the family (the 'old' you, hey you're not lying !!!)
  5. i would be careful with sutres.. make sure you get them all out the doctor removed mine after surgery but the area continued to hurt. It hurt so bad I shaved my head to see what the problem was. Well he left a big piece of stich in my head. once I pulled it out the pain went away. my whole point is make sure she gets them all. because even though most of the sutres dissolve, as mine should have.. it didnt, and hurt like heck later.
  6. my soreness lasted almost a year. the reason is because of the nerve damage and my body being slow to rebuild my nerves. It just about went away but I recently had a scar revision and it has returned
  7. I have never heard of eating meat as a source of hair loss. Hair loss is associated with the production of DHT within the body. and its attack on a predetermined area of your head, mapped out through genetics. I know there stress can also cause it (im one who was doublewammyed; stress and hereditary)
  8. I have also thought about this. I have relegated myself to cutting at home until I can get more hair put in. I got a HT about a year ago. The transplanted hairs are growing fine, but I just got them in the front (630 hairs) and my thinning hair does not grow anymore. It seems like it is programmed to stop at a certain length. I was going to the barber less than 4 months ago but he kept nicking me where the scar was. After my first HT the two ends of the scar spread so I had 2 bald spots on both sides. If I wore my side-hair long you couldnt see it. with a little coverup on the area you couldnt see it (in my eyes at least). problem is my top hair stopped growing, so growing it just on the sides made me look like sam kennison. I recently got a scar revision and one side looks better while the other still looks bad. when the scab came off it took a bunch of hairs so I think they will grow back. I would like to go back to the barber one day but since the hair only grows on the sides and the area where I got the HT, i feel like its a waste of money now. not to mention potentially embarrassing Anyhow there are some great ideas that were brought up in this thread perhaps when I get some more hair I'll be able to return to a barber! take care Cas
  9. The transplanted hair is like that at first. After a few cuts it settles down. Also the new hair is not thinning, while the other hair is.. thats why it may appear differently. My transplanted hair after 1 year of getting an ht is starting to lose its girth. unfortunatly the other hair on my head is still thin so i just keep it short so the hair blends. well in my eyes it does somewhat
  10. Ive been to 2 doctors and both offered financing. Most doctors are there to help you so I would find a doctor I was interested in and ask him.
  11. I care about my appearance! Sorry for the guy, but I have been dealing with this hairloss thing for 8 years. Heck, I feel like I've been in an accident. Good thing though in my case, I can have it fixed. And thats exactly what I am going to do August 28th
