  1. Congrats on your HT I can't really tell what was done from your pictures, which are a little unclear. After 14 days the grafts should be fixed, you will know if you tear any out because they will bleed. I'd advise you to wash carefully every day, but leave off the towel. What bothers me here is that 1500 grafts may not be enough to give you the result you hope for at the end of the growing cycle. Guys talk about saving enough donor for later, which makes sense but this is not an operation you want to go through more than once if you can help it
  2. HI RUKP Pleased to see your blog you had a very similar pattern to me and an almost identical number of grafts. very interested in your progress
  3. This is 11 Months http://www.hairtransplantnetwo...opyID=3885&WebID=920
  4. Hi Check out my Blog an you'll see I had some extensive shockloss under the strip on the right side. What surpises me with your pattern is it seems to be above the strip, unless it is shaved- your photo is very poor quality..You may get better Feedaback if you take some better shots You need to talk to your Doc about this and keep us updated Good Luck
  5. They have probably the best reputation in the world. I would have chosen them for my HT, however the response time to my mails was not satisfactory.
  6. Deutschland ??ber alles.......?
  7. It looks like really neat work, and you can cover the recipient with your existing hair, something I was glad about after my OP. I wouldn't do too much running of your fingers accross the recipient are just yet though :-) Good Luck
  8. I also post on a German website, and there have been a lot of positive comments and results about Hattingen Hair. In Europe there are a few other good Docs, with proven results. It is a pain to cross the Atlantic for a procedure, especially coming back with your blue operation hat. Knowing what I know now, If I required another procedure I would go back to the same Doc, you buy what you know. Not so great for the others who are certainly all excellent- but the way it is for most of us
  9. I'd agree I think for 3000 grafts it looks great and it suits you
  10. @Please grow I'd agree with that, he said he did not like the result. Fine that is his opinion and he has a right to it. He did not say anything beyond that. What he may or may not have posted anywhere else, at anyother time is neither here nor there, regarding this thread. This thread is "virtually" the property of the original poster who wanted to advise of his 1 year results. I feel all of us, including Dr Feller, should remain with that issue and take other issues elswhere. If you will forgive me for saying so
  11. http://www.hairtransplantnetwo...opyID=3692&WebID=920 I'm at 10.5 months and won't post another set until 11, there is not much to report. As I am 6 weeks away from the final result I would like to post my assessment. Please bear in mind that the results are only tailored to me and what my expectation were at the time and how I see it now. To start with a resounding thank you to Dr Rahal, he deserves the highest credit and recognition, no reflection if there are any elements of my procedure I may not be totally happy with, have anything to do with the overall excellent job he did on me and on so many others. My aim was to replace my missing hair in the front, so that I could style the hair as I wanted to. Dr Rahal shaved away a lot of my existing hair in the centre to ensure I had no gap. He assessed that the nature of my hair meant that I could get away with less grafts for a natural result and executed the concept we discussed, based upon his experience and I decided simply to trust his knowledge and let him do what he thought fit. On the positive side it is clear I have a full head of hair again, that many guys would like to have. I have many more styling options than before. I get a lot of compliments on my hair, without anyone really knowing what I have done. On the other hand there are a few things that I am not so happy with, but I can't honestly say any of them are a reflection on Dr Rahal's work. . Bear in mind that pictures are deceptive, the general impression of my hair pre-op was never as bad as the pictures I posted. Some of the post op pictures, ie the first one in the 10m set, is a lot more flattering that is really the case, trick of the light perhaps. The right side never really filled in and the left temple has been getting thinner, so it is not possible to style my hair as I would like and the thin area on the right is visible wet or dry unless the hair is long.. This could be a result that the hair loss has been progressing since the OP as the grafts were growing, so there has been an exchange perhaps, not an increase. The set I liked the most was month 8 where it really felt very good, since then it seems to have dropped off. I would not want to be compared to guys who get a result on a Norwood 5, I was only borderline Norwood 3, despite what my profile picture says and I had specific expectations, which would be different from theirs. Perhaps some of these things will change in the rest of the growing phase, but as I was an early grower I doubt it. So in conclusion, I probably have the best result that I could ever have expected on one HT, I know many guys have two or three. I'm a perfectionist; but realistic to realise you don't get perfection and as another Dr Rahal patient often said to me - a HT of 6000 hairs gives you an 'illusion' of a full head of hair, not a Johnny Depp mane that you can do everything with.. Regards Pred
  12. I really like it I think the 7 Month length suits you it is a really effective ressult
  13. Hi it looks great. What percentage of grafts actually came in? As for the second HT I'd leave off until 12 Months. I've been giving though to some additional work to thicken up my temples. But wont consider it until I'm at one year following the 27th of August You may find a I did between month 9 and 11 that some residual thinning takes place. As a Rahal patient too how is it with numbness and itching now?
  14. I Know it's been said before and I can see you follow the comments If you look at my HT I had 2900 FUT in 42m2 http://www.hairtransplantnetwo...opyID=2175&WebID=920 So I'm not surprised that your result for a larger area may see a little thin. It is still a very positive result But as you know to get where you would like to go you have to go back, as I may will in the years that follow as the efffectiveness from propecia wears off Good Luck
  15. Thanks for all the positive comments. I would like you guys to know how much support I have got from this site through my HT journey and how grateful I am for it. @Lost my Swagger Here is a picture of the crown, I have not lost anything there and have the same profile since I was a kid. I take 1.25mg Proscar each day, other than that nothing apart from using Polytar shampoo which I feel has helped me keep my existing hair. I am concerned that I am loosing in the middle and on the front right side, but in all honesty it is hard to be sure
  16. Thanks Guys for the compiments.. It does good Mr GQ No I've not talked to Dr Rahal since my OP; and I wont until 12 months have gone by, I don't like the gap on the right, but until I know the final status, I won't be asking. After that perhaps
  17. One more thing if you take a look at my wet pics from the right and the left you can see that I had it cut down to the skin and the scar does not seem to show. Thank you Dr Rahal
  18. Thanks for the comments guys yes I am well pleased. I would like it a little thicker on the right, which has always been my problem side and would make it easier to style, bit you can't have everything. What I hope for is no additional loss. @Petro With me it really started to kick in at 5 Months By month 7 I think pretty much all grafts were out. The real difference came between 7 and 8, but the blog is deceptive as my hair was really long then and looks a lot thicker. Between 8 and 9 I cant really say much happened exept it felt residually thicker. 9-10 the same thing only the foto above is how I liked it the best. I dont really expect anything more, I guess I have been a rapid grower, But bear in mind pictures are deceptive.
  19. This was a week ago before I had it cut, which I regret. I don't like posting full face, and may take this down soon, but I wanted to give an idea of how it looked, as I realised I have really achieved my aim. Many photos show a cut off, which misleads the result in conjunction with the overall impression.
  20. Just wanted to add two more with such a shot cut you might wonder if the scar is visable. the hair is about 1 cm at the back
  21. This is my 10m update http://www.hairtransplantnetwo...opyID=3692&WebID=920
  22. astonishing!!!!!!! What did you do to lose weight, or did it just happen? I lost 10 kg since my operation, maybe there is something in the process A tip dye out the grey and you gain 15 years Looking really good man
  23. Dr Feller You are a highly respected surgeon with a proven track record of results; naturally I am not in position of all the facts, or am I even a layman in terms of the knowledge that others on this site have. It is not my intention to cast a shadow on your execution. I have probably judged the procedure, on the basis of the visual information provided, and on the basis of my own expectations. Which would be in another direction. Certainly I won't be performing any research with other Doctors to justify a point of view, for the sake of it In the end all that matters is the satisfaction of the patient and I sincerly hope for that, for the author of this thread. Should my previous post have been seen as as slur on your professionalism and expertise, than I apologise for it without reserve.
  24. It's moving along really nicely a real difference Congratulations, at 12 you'll see an even greater difference
  25. Pimples are normal. They're probably new hairs trapped under the skin which will grow through in time- It is actually a good sign
