  1. It's a hard one stamos I'm a Rahal patient at 2.5 Months, so as I said I'm in the worst phase. I don#t know what my result will be but I know I went to one of the best. When you go to a strange land for a HT you need more than just a good Doctor, you need an environment that you feel comfortable in, after the operation and during the days you have to spend in the hotel. You don't want to be stared at our laughed at with your blue operation hat What I liked about Rahal and Ottawa was everybody was friendly, knew the score and couldn't have cared less. You get the same Taxi driver who takes you to the Clinic for your daily check ups. I don't know what it's like with Shapiro or Hasson and Wong, but with Rahal I felt I was with friends from the airport to the hotel, the surgery and the way back to Munich. All the Canadians made it so easy for me. If the winter wasn't so bad I'd move there
  2. As I live in Munich I post on a German Forum. I hear a lot about Heitmann, Hattingen Hair and Bisanga in Europe. my reseach was 18m long and I decided if I was going to do this I wanted it done either by Hasson and Wong Shapiro or Rahal my advice to you would be to pay for the best and travel where they are
  3. For Me only Dr Rahal, the Taxi driver Mo and the staff at the Adams Airport inn, not that they care. I told my Mum and my Sister. I lied to everyone else who asked
  4. I wonder if we place too much on hair When I was in my early 30s every women I walked past seemed to react in some way. Now in my early 40s none of them really seem to and my hair loss was never as bad as many guys before my OP. Time goes on...Funnily enough in the worst "Doldrums" phase after the OP I've been seeing a very special woman. And the lies I've told hear abount the reasons for my strange hairline
  5. http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/journal.asp?CopyID=2205&WebID=920 Hi Bill Here was the comment from Dan on my "The bad Phase" part of my blog. I'd never heard it before but comments would be of interest I'd like to hear from guys who feel they did not get their expected yield
  6. None of us really want to be here We post our experiences and concerns, because we seek help and support. When we get through it we'd rather forget we went throught it. Does anyone go back to the Doctor to thank him for the medication that got us over the flu? I'll post my results to the end but as most I'd rather not have had to consider the issue of hair loss at all
  7. Hi All I had a comment on my blog that only half of the transplanted grafts actually grow I had 2886 with Dr Rahal on the 27th of August so I'm very much in the doldrums and not really expecting much until month four, though I can see it starting to firm up. I'd be grateful for comments from Doctors and patients on this statement, how many of your transplanted grafts do you feel actually came in, and what is the opinion of doctors on this issue. I still have full confidence to my Doc and it's early days. I still have a lot of hair, but I'd expect a better than 50% yield. Thanks in advance for the inputs Pred PS Bill if this was a FAQ apologies I didn't find it http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/journal.asp?CopyID=2174&WebID=920
  8. I also began losing my hair at 17. The pattern was such that I could only part on the left not the right because of a gap. But the process stopped and I was OK until it kicked in at 27 again, then at 35 it really kicked in. You might be one of those who experience recession at the end of puberty and it stops
  9. Hi I'm a two months and have not had a hair cut I can cover the recipient site with my existing har and do so when I leave the house. I'm still using baby shampoo and trying to be careful. But I have to dry my hair in the morning with a towel which means rubbing the recipent site. I am still losing graft at two months and I'm wondering if I'm causing damage. I have been told after fourteen days the grafts are firm, I'm begining to wonder if I might be better of buzzing down. I cant wear a hat in my job
