My physician told me that Dutasteride is 5X more powerful than Finasteride, and to avoid it.
-
Did your doctor tell you what your current Norwood level is and what Norwood level you are likely to reach as you get older?
-
Keep your grafts out of the sun, wear an SPF hat.
-
This would only be anecdotal, but how many people on this site drink coffee regularly or heavily, and have had to deal with male pattern baldness?
-
The use of finasteride is generally thought to reduce the likelihood of losing hair to shock loss. Hopefully in a few months it will all start growing back.
-
Yes you should wear a hat, UV penetrates most car window glass. Find a hat with a SPF of at least 30.
-
I don’t think there is any benefit to spraying saline at this point. You should shampoo thoroughly.
-
It’s possible that non-miniaturized hairs were shocked out, but likely that they will return with time. Minoxidil is the only treatment you can employ besides waiting, it’s a growth stimulator. Are you on finasteride?
-
Use minoxidil on the areas you think might be shocked out.
-
True, but the question is whether they are visible to the naked eye.
-
There is much more elasticity in the facial area so noticeable scars are less likely.
-
I had chest hair transplanted to my scalp and used finasteride for a while, the body hair did not fall out. It probably depends on the person. I would not put chest hair on the hairline, but would blend it with scalp hair to provide density.

There are enough products out in the marketplace that contain synthetic sandalwood that it's probably worth giving this a try. It is not expensive.
-
This story is not credible, the author sounds wacky.
-
Try using shampoo that does not contain sulfates.

Based on that photo, it appears that you lost some grafts. The study done by Dr. Bernstein indicated that you could dislodge a graft up to day 10.
-
You’re probably better off using liposomal ATP, if you can get it.
-
That’s an awful lot of grafts by FUE per day.
-
Correct, most men will continue to lose hair in their 40s, 50s and 60s.
-
Unless the cost was prohibitive, I absolutely would use the ATP spray if there is some evidence it aids healing. I’d like to hear what some of the docs think.

The earlier the better, especially if work is a consideration.

I am looking at the objective evidence, provided by the poster, which shows he received a good result. In one of the photos it shows the hairline Dr. Rahal drew, including the temples, which is the hairline that the poster indicated he wanted. The 9 month photos show a new hairline, consistent with what was drawn pre-op, that looks quite good. I notice that he did not post any photos of the "repair" surgery. My guess is that he has continued to lose hair, as most of us do, and went back to thicken up thinning areas. A hair transplant is not going to turn a nw 3 into a nw 1, that would be irresponsible.
-
I wondered if you bothered to look at his pre-op photos, where the new hairline is drawn, the immediate post-op photos, and the nine month post-op photos, which show a very good result.
-
Interesting story, but the pictures are fairly clear. Sean had a good result with Dr. Rahal, he is not a repair patient.

I can sort of see a line, but the photo quality is poor. Your hair looks fine. I wonder if you are obsessing about a problem that doesn't exist.
