  1. The scars not to bad. The redness will dull down and at 7.5 months I'd say you have alot of growing and maturation left. I think you are right on track.
  2. While this certainly is not a wow result, I dont believe it's intended to be. Right on par with what 1700 grafts will get you when you are this bald. Good job doc.
  3. I'll echo what sparky said and take it one step further. Does she wear make up, anti-wrinkle cream, high fasion shoes or clothing? Is there anything that bothers her about herself? What if she lost some hair? Would she wear a wig? Think about getting a HT herself? People are often quick to critize w/o thinking about being in the "other persons shoes". If she can honestly answer ALL of these questions above with a NO then she is a better person than most but I have a feeling she cant. My wife is exactly like yours but shes very contadicting. She thinks that anyone who tries to alter thier appearance is fake and insecure, but she wears make-up and puts on an acne mask every night. She also buys expensive purses like Coach. So what does that say about her?? Have you explained why you want the HT? Did you tell her because you wanted to look younger? Or because it would help you feel better about yourself? I find the latter excuse could be a little easier for our spouses to understand. Good Luck!!
  4. You'll be hard pressed to get any comments on these pics. Just not consistant with lighting and angles.
  5. LuckyMe, You are lucky for sure!! Heed the advice you get here and dont let Bosley touch your head. I didnt find this forum until after I had my HT blunder with Bosley and I've regretted my decision to go with them every day since then.
  6. This guy must have had SUPER COARSE donar hair. Come on??? Either the number of grafts are wrong or there is some concealer in his hair. I"ve never seen this much density with 2X the amount of grafts never mind 3200. Am I alone in questioning this?
  7. I would recommend contacting Spex. You'll get a much faster response.
  8. Immediate post op's would help. Looks like a good result. Such a large transformation in the back. He was receding pretty far down in the back and in the afters they dont show any signs of balding that far down???? Differant angles??
  9. Chaulk this up to another Bosley blunder. I feel for you. I made the same mistake. I found this forum 3 months after my procedure and also had unpleasurable results. All you can do is move forward and be positive. Good Luck!!!
  10. Dr, I hope you are not offended by this comment, but this guy looks aweful! For how bald he was and how many grafts you used the result looks fine, but it doesnt look like a natural hairline or balding pattern which makes a transplant obvious no matter how natural the transplanted hairs appear. I will say for what you had to work with you did a good job and if you made it abundantly clear that this would be the result than you are off the hook but never the less the end result isnt very appealing.
  11. Advice: Stay as far away from all of those places as possible. Also if you have some pics you should post them here for further advice. Generally at 23 years of age you arent going to have to many people tell you it's a good idea to have a HT done. You are to young and a consistant pattern propably hasnt shown up yet. The best advice you can get is to start Propecia and Rogaine to stabilize hair loss. Hopde this helps.
  12. Dr. Charles, Did this reasonable plan include a HT? If so why? That bald, that young should be turned away IMO!
  13. Awesome! Looks great... Alot of coverage and density with small amount of grafts used.
  14. I think you should see a psychiatrist before a HT surgeon if you are thinking about ending it. Thats scary!!!!
  15. Alexg, Hi I am from NH and I had a procedure done with bosley in Boston and I have to say it was the worst decision of my life. Heed the advice you get here and stay as far away from bosley as possible. Drive or fly down to Dr. Feller in New York or up to Dr. Rahal in Canada if you want good results.
  16. Interesting question and 1 I hope a doctor can answer for us. I do have to say though that I dont think diffuse thinners are that rare "assuming the definition is what we think it is".
  17. I agree with LMS! with very little donar available to you if you do it you may regret it. You are lucky you found a site where you get such great advice. Some people arent so lucky.
  18. I would definatly say to shave your head and see if you can live with it. The earlier in life you start losing hair the greater the chances are that you will have extensive balding. Younger guys will often say they will not care as much when they are in thier 30's or 40's about thier appearance but I am living proof that this is just not true. I have been losing my hair since I was 20. I decided to have a HT at 28 thinking that this will be the cure to my problems. Now 3 years later I have lost more hair and have done enough research to realize that because I was so young when I started to lose my hair that chances are that I will never be able to keep up with the progression of hairloss to satisfy myself. You have people here saying that some is better than none but IMO this is also not true. A shaved/bald head is acceptable in society, but having hair just in the front 1/3rd and being completly bald in the back 2/3rds looks wierd IMO and looks 10X worse. Listen man from experience, shave the head and save yourself from years of heartache. gauranteed!
  19. I would have to say that I feel the same. If I could go back and undo it I would just let nature take it's course and go bald. But whats done is done and we have to live with our mistakes. Sucks!!
  20. Another fabulous result! Joe any chance we can start seeing pics of scars with patient results? Also why do the after pics look like the guys in a tanning booth? Im not doubting the results but I just dont like seeing before and after pics in differant lighting. Thanks!!!!!
  21. This is a very good result! Does this guy plan on doing anything with the back. I think another procedure and he'll be golden. Good job
