  1. I can aswer 2 of your questions. 1) Is 25 too young? Not necessarily! However this is why it's important to choose a good doc who doesnt just see you as a dollar sign. Choosing the right doc with enough experience w/ younger people is important because they can semi-accuratly predict the future hairloss and take the right approach. 4) FUE vs Strip. For a 5a I would say strip. A couple of reasons. Its cheaper, proven more successful, and they can do more grafts w/ the strip! 5) Is Bosley really that bad? YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! Just do a search on this forum and google bosley complaints. You'll see a plethera of complaints. In including mine!
  2. Who's the Bobsey twins? Maybe a bit before my time! Your turn Dewayne, Just Copy and Paste! LOL
  3. The very fact that bruceman is ripping DR.E's work proves that he is not very knowlegable. Anyone w/ any sense at all would relize that he is more conservative than other docs which will not win any prize in the picture catagory. However graft for graft I'd put him up against the best and feel he would hold his own! Im sure that he wouldnt still be a member of the coalition if he had numerous unsatisfied patients. As far as pictures go maybe he doesnt post here as often as we would like to see, but do you really think it's because he's not proud of his work? If this is in referance to what I had said a few posts back I would like to make it clear that I have no problem w/ the fact that DR Feller is very active here. In fact I find him very knowlegable and interesting to read. I was simply saying that if someone shows interest in your services I feel as though they should take presedense over posting and to not respond to request's for consultations cant be good for business.
  4. I think I heard somewhere on this forum that you can get proscar at BJ's or sams club!
  5. Dewayne, Thanks, you beat me to the punch! How's everything working out w/ you? Dr. Cooley doesnt post here alot. Does that mean he's not as good as others who post here? I dont think so! Bruceman, Just because Dr. E doesnt post 10X a day doesnt mean he doesnt do quality work. And yes he is a nice guy! Thats a bonus to his work and not the only reason people choose him! Do some more research and dont just go with the popular concensus.
  6. How do you think most of us come up w/ our "top 5"! It's all about branding! It's too bad, but thats the nature of the beast.
  7. Dewayne, I absolutley agree w/ you! Im not willing to take that chance again. Especially after my Bosley blunder. I just thought it was a little ironic when he told me it was MHR that did it.My inspiration came from seeing a HT patient in person and seeing what a good one can look like. I never would have guessed this friend of mine had one. It gives me hope!
  8. Guys, There is alot of discussion on here about who's the best and who's the worst, who to go to and who to stay away from, so this may come as a surprise to most as it was EXTREMLY surpising to me. I was out tonight for my b-day and the discussion of HT's was brought up by myself to a group of my friend's. I guess im trying to soften the blow for later! I was floored when a friend of mine told me that he had gotten a HT done back in 2003. Now this friend of mine has to me what looks like a great head of hair. So when i ask him who did his procedure he tells me it was a doctor w/ MHR in Beverly Massachusetts. I guess what im getting at is that as much as we dog the big hair chains it comes down to the individual doctor and thier skills. This is the 1st ht i've seen in person and i really was impressed. With the experience ive had with the big hair chains i would never go to one of these places but its good to know that there are some docs who work for these companies who have some skill and morals!

  10. MORE_HAIR, I COULDNT AGREE W/ YOU MORE! NOT ONLY IS HE NOT FULL OF HIMSELF, BUT HE IS ALSO VERY MODEST CONSIDERING THE INCREDIBLE WORK HE DOES! PEOPLE DONT BE FOOLED, DR E. IS ONE OF THE BEST DESPITE HIS LACK OF ONLINE VISIBILITY!
  11. Stick to propecia and rogaine! Until now those are the only FDA approved products that fight hairloss. Be careful of new poster's caliming to have other miacle products that help them regrow thier hair. It's hawgwash for the most part!
  12. excuse my english! I re-read and realized some errors, but i think you get my point.
  13. Dr. Feller, While there is no doubt that you are amongst the best in the world, I've read alot of complaints on this forum that people have contacted you and your office for a consultation w/out a response. Now the excuse of being busy would stand up if I hadnt noticed that you post here quite often! Showing examples of your work is great but if you dont have get back to people who would like to use your services, then those people would otherwise choose you will go somewhere else.
  14. How old are you? If under 25 i'd wait! Yes you could benefit from a HT, but if you are under 25 some doctors couldnt accuratlly predict your pattern of hair loss. Now I say 25, but thats not set in stone, It just seems about the age when hair loss for most starts to become more apperant and you can see a pattern starting to set in. Hope that helps
  15. It would seem to me that the longer your hair is the thicker it would look. You may not see many pics of guys w/ longer hair because short hair is in style these days
  16. It sounds like you may have had 1 of the VERY FEW Bosley docs that actually produce good results. Are you comfortable posting before and after pics? If so put them up and we'll give you our honest opinions. And like I said before if your happy thats all that matters
  17. Ya, What he said!lol Jeesh doc take it easy on them they are ameteur con artists!
  18. I actually do all 3 as well. To save money get proscar, minox, and nizoral is only like $14 and it's lasted me 3 months use it every 3 days. I think my total out of pocket is propably $15 a month. I do all 3 cause i feel as though i will take as much help as possible. maybe it doesnt help but it makes me feel better
  19. I take 1.25 mg's a day simply because it's impossible to cut the pill in 5 pieces and i dont see any extra benefit. But hey everyone is differant. As far as shrinking your prostate- thats what proscar is intended for so it is fact. Google it. LOL
  20. Yes, But everything after that is $3 a graft! So that $5 is really not $5 if you get say 4000 grafts. It really ends up being $4 a graft! And if you get 5000 grafts it end's up being even less. It's a no lose situation w/ these guys. You end up paying less and get a world class HT.
  21. What kind of results are you expecting. If you think all of a sudden you are going to wake up and have a full head of hair then I'll tell you not to hold your breath. These are mainly used to maintain what you've already got.
  22. 5mg's are prescribed to guys w/ enlarged prostates. If yours is normal size it would shrink down to nothing. And hair loss would be the least of your concerns
  23. hatrick, He paid 11,700 total. Which is still a ripoff. Just not as bad.
  24. Louirah, looks like you could use 3500 to 4000 to start off.Maybe more if your donar area allows. I think Joe once said that 4000 grafts comes out to about $16000. Thats damn reasonable considering you have boobs like Bosley and MHR charging $5.50-$6 a graft. And there is no comparison. H&W are top 3 in the world at HT's and like lorenzo said things are differant now a days if you do some research you'll find some great doc's who can help you.
  25. Djdennis, Looking good bro! The scar looks to be healing pretty well to. Im not sure if it's the pics or not but the crown doesnt look to bad. It's almost time for those suckers to start sproutin. You must be getting excited.
