  1. I will say that if YOU are happy thats all that matters. I went to the Boston office. You are already one step ahead of me if you are happy. None of my hair grew in. How many total grafts did you have done? for 11,000 you should have had atleast 2500-3000.
  2. Ninja, Lets keep our discussion in the other thread. See my comments on that thread!!
  3. Ninjathen, We should try to keep this discussion on the same thread. OK now I would say 1st do a search in the "find" engine right in between the "new" and "notify" engines on the top of this page. type in the doc's first and last name and hit GO. If anyone has ever had an experience w/ him on this forum you will find it. 2nd calm down! Stressing yourself out can only make things worse for a HT. After your done your search on this forum do a GOOGLE seach and include DR in his name. Lastly take solice in the fact that you are gonna get a TON of support here. BTW how did your 1st ht turn out. If you went back a 2nd time you must have been happy w/ your 1st ht results?
  4. ninjathen, Im sure there are some Bosley docs out there that are good, but for the most part Bosley as a company SUCKS. And that might be kind of me to say. Did you have your 1st procedure w/ this doc? How did your 1st one turn out? I am 1 of those Bosley patients who are extremly disatisfied so I come w/ experience. Your doc might be one of those gem's and if so he should not be working for Bosley as I gaurantee that all doc's that work for them know of thier bad reputation.
  5. You can reduce the shock loss though. When I shaved after my HT my shock loss stopped. It's kind of like breaking a stick. The longer the stick the easier it is to break, but the shorter it get's the harder it is to break. Just my theory and it seemed to work.
  6. Sorry just re-read the post and realized it was FUE. Still a little pricy though. Do more research and look at the doc's recommended in this community. We wont steer you in the wrong direction
  7. Am I reading your post right? Did you say 1500 grafts for $15,000? Are you friggin kidding me? You could get 1500 for half of that and go to a real doc that will give you great results. F those guys! Check out Alexandef, H&W, Feller, Shapiro, Rahal, Epstien, just to name a few.
  8. How close is it? and How does everyone feel about it? I've talked to several coalition doc's and the general concensus seems to be that it's between 5-10 years away. If this is the case it seems the next generation of baldies dont have to worry about MPB assuming they are willing to pay for hair. I believe I read an article somewhere where Dr. Farjo in Manchester England had been the only doc chosen to do this study and it was pretty succesful in it's initial stages. However the company has pulled out w/ hopes that the larger and more nationally known chain "Bosley" will pick up from where they left off. Of course Bosley would have to pay for rights to the technology. If this is the case I'd rather go bald

  10. I agree that some concealers look awful (dermatch being one of them) but if you get the right kind (toppik is what i used) it is very hard to detect. Im VERY self consious of what my head looks like and i would have noticed if it looked bad.
  11. Damn, I cant get my girlfriend on board to let me get the procedure. She thinks it's a waste of money. Dont let your girlfriend make this important decision that YOU have to live w/ the rest of your life. girls come and go but scars are for ever.
  12. Start Propecia and rogaine now and save yourself some heartache. Wait a year or two and see what your progress is. 22 is to young for a HT. Look at alot of photos and do tons of research and in the mean time the hair loss should slow down or stop for long enough for you to be lucky to start the process when hair cloning is available. We're all waiting for that.
  13. At 16 no-one will work on you, and you shouldnt even consider a HT until 25 in my opinion. The only suggestion I can make is to stay on the rogaine. I dont know if there is an age limit on Propecia but when old enough i would suggest. BTW Proscar is cheaper and is just as effective as propecia. It's tough losing hair and especially at such a young age, but did you know that now a days the style is shaving your head. Maybe give that a shot for the summer and see how you like that.
  14. Most docs charge between 4-5 dollars a graft. Usually the lower the # of grafts the more expensive the individual graft is .
  15. I think you did a great job w/ the concealer. Maybe if you inspect it very closley you may be able to tell, but i used to where it when i had enough hair to use it and no-one ever said a thing.
  16. And they have 10 fingers and 10 toes right? LOL. THANKS!!!
  17. I feel as though I need to make a couple of changes to my top 5. Now that Alexander is posting more Im amazed at his hairlines and what he is able to do with minimal grafts. He's cracked my top 5. Keep up the good work doc!
  18. can finesteride make it harder to inpregnate your spouse? Can it cause birth defects in a child?

  20. david my friend i think you may need to see a psyciatrist!
  21. Dewayne, Which doc are you talking about? LOL. BONUS: If you purchace a HT in the next 15 minutes i'll do the procedure in my bikini... Doing!!!
  22. Baldie, Im obviously not Shapiro, but have you checked his website? Have you used the "Find" engine? You should be able to find a few pics there. It's a start.
  23. YoungGuy, Who was your doc? Have you told him/her this?
  24. So I take it you chose your doc. I hope this is your decision and your not folding to pressure. Remember you have to feel it in your gut! This forum is not here to push certain doc's only to watch out for our own and share our experiences. If Dr. Rahal is the one you choose than I would say congratulations and good luck, but w/ him you wont need luck
