  1. I'm looking forward to it. Thanks guys. MH
  2. B Spot... When is the new site going to be launched ?? I'm a fan of shapiro's work...and Janna's dedication/help. MH
  3. Hey guys. I agree...fun thread to read. It's always interesting to see how others are thinking...especially in a subject that is so important in all of our lives right now. There is one thing that jumps out at me when looking through this thread. In most of the top five choices...it's almost always the docs that show there work the most on the forum. I hope my doc show his results more often. I'm not at all trying to be a bone-head here. It was just something that jumped out at me. I agree with ALL you guys. There's not one doc that any of you have mentioned that I don't consider to be awesome. My list : I agree with all the docs you mentioned. Of course I'm inserting my doc (Epstein into my little list) As usual...thanks guys. This forum and all you guys have been a big help in my journey. MH
  4. Richie. As far as the consultation. Just call the Maimi office and thay can tell you where and when. I consulted in NY and had the surgery in Miami. Not sure what your hairloss is so that has all to do with if one surgery will be enough. The doc will go over this with you. As far as my experience. The actual surgery was great. Alot of guys on this forum will tell you the pain is really not an issue....it's not. A few shots in the beginning is basically the worst of it. As far as results go I'm still under 5 months post-op which from what i understand is maybe 50% growth. I will tell you I'm really excited about my growth at this point. If it IS only 50% growth at this point...that would be awesome. I don't want to get to over-excited at this point but so far I'm so happy. Epstein is a great doc. Like alot of the docs he's really into and passionate about what he does...plus you can talk to him. He's the kind of guy you meet and feel you know him five years already if you know what i mean. Do your homework about this surgery before you jump in. The more you know about this procedure will only help you both before and after. Meet with more than one doc. Ask alot of questions. I met with 4 docs and met with Epstein twice and talked with him on the phone three times before the procedure. Dr.E gets a TOTAL thumbs up from me. I'm going to wait either 6 or 8 months and post my before/afters. Just don't want to jinx anything.....lol Keep us posted. MH
  5. Hey steve. Glad to hear all is going well. I'm a little confused. You were very detailed and helpful in the beginning of your journey. I would love to see how you're doing. I from the start wanted to wait...and after six or eight months show my results. At the very least you can show us how your car is doing...lol. Hope all is well. MH
  6. It's all good buddy. Most (99%) of the guys are VERY positive on this forum. That's why I check in here regularly. It helps me stay positive about my HT. We're all kind've in this together because we know losing hair sucks and getting it back is awesome. Every single doc I'm sure has slow growers...it's just the nature of the beast. Just remember the one drawback you and I are going to have to deal with...buying all those damm brushes and gallons of Revita. Doesn't life suck sometimes....lol. MH
  7. I couldn't agree more Hairthere. As patients we all heal and grow at different rates....we all did our research..it will be fine when it all shakes out at the end. Epstein has been taking some hits lately. But here you are at five months with no visible growth....is it Feller's fault ??...uhhh NO. Feller and Epstein are the TOPS in my opinion. I enjoy seeing Feller's patients grow and look amazing...makes me feel great about doing this in the first place. It's basically a lock that in four to six months your going to look amazing and loving life. I'm not at ALL happy that you're seeing only stubble at his point....but it just goes to show most of the time...if not all of the time...the patient and not the doc makes the difference when it comes to results. I agree with djdennis...I've learned alot in the last few weeks about growth...and how it varies greatly patient to patient. We all must be positive. Grow well my friend. We will be living large by Sept. MH
  8. Hey guys. I did a google search on the Dr.Seager mentioned above. I would first like to mention the class act the Hair transplant network is by doing a little story about him after his passing. I also found a story by a guy who used him. When you google Dr.Seager it's under "GDO hair transplant surgery". MAN those are pretty awesome results for 3242 graphs !!! It's interesting that the patient wasn't shaved either. Just found it interesting. Happy growing guys. MH
  9. Mtlien44, Im under 5 months post-op and I along with the guy that cuts my hair can't believe my scar is at this point basically undetectable. Dr.Epstein was my doc. If the results of my new hair growth even come close to my quality of work of my donor scar line...I'm going to be one happy camper. Did I just say happy camper ??...oh jeez. MH
  10. nm315, Good you're asking questions. This is not something you want to rush into. As B spot mentioned session size is part of the equation but not everything. It really depends on many factors. How old are you ? What's your NW scale ? What is your hairloss pattern ? What are your goals ?? Can as a patient the doctor get 4000+ graphs from your donor area ? I feel the best way to answer all these questions is meet with has many docs as you can. Also doing your own research....looking at pictures will help you along. I was a NW 4 and decided to get the 2800+ graphs the doc and i talked about. Some guys want to do the biggest possible job possible at once. Even though there's maybe a 50% chance I'll want a second pass...i liked this approach. Then again if i was a full NW5/6 I probably would have gone for the bigger session knowing there was a 90% chance i would need the second job. MH
  11. Hey guys. This is all great news....thanks. The "new" hairline...although kind've thin... is nonetheless filling in. Gotta keep telling myself to just be patient. Sometimes it's hard. You're right Gorpy....this is kind've fun. Thanks guys. As usual great support. MH
  12. Thanks alot guys. It only makes sense that the new hair would be soft and fine. I guess I'm just impatient and wishing time would fly by. Thanks again, MH
  13. Hi guys. At what month is basically the end that any new hairs will sprout ? I realize this question is kind've tough to answer because we all differ. I'm 4 1/2 months out and when I lightly tap the top of my scalp....i feel tiny little guys that feel like little pins....I hope all these guys fully mature. Again maybe it's unanswerable question...but figured I'd toss it at the vets. Is there a average time in terms of months that the bulk of growth happens ?? Thanks guys, MH

  15. Hairbank. I agree. As I mentioned I'm 4 1/2 months post-op. I plan at around 8 months to post my pre-op pics and then 2/4/6/8 months pics. Just the way I want to do it. I also agree we need good pictures to see the real difference. Dennis, Thanks for the kind words. Man It would be nice to have alot of hair up there again. About the Red Sox...I have zero problem with the team..it's some of the fans that drive me nuts. But I'm sure you feel the same way. I'm a die hard Yankee fan but also a fan of the SPORT. Some clowns really take it too far and act like idiots...on both sides. Kind've funny to watch the players from both teams talking, laughing and being friends....pre game On the other hand the fans are fighting in the street and acting like clowns. People should put down their beer a little earlier in the day and act like men. Guess it's a dying art form. Pretty funny...the guys with the beer muscles are always the ones to hide under a desk or hit the floor first. Best of luck my friend. Hope to buying a brush and gallons of shampoo in a year. MH
  16. Djdennis, I agree with you. Don't want you to mis-understand my last post. I think Epstein SHOULD be showing more of his work. I like you, even though it's early,am thrilled with my growth. If Epstein doesn't stand up and defend his work...with or without pics....some will say "where is he ?...doesn't he care?" But if he gets involved and patients step forward....the same few people try to shoot him down for that. Glad your doing well Dennis. Even though you don't like the Yanks...I still want your hair to sprout like a sonofabitch....lol. MH
  17. Glad you posted that Bill. The docs been pinned to the wall recently. Now if patients that are happy with Dr.E come forward....It's a SET-UP !!! Not sure if the doc is reaching out to patients but I would if i were him. Many of the Docs show there BEST stuff on here daily...what's the difference. I'm a Dr.E patient...would love to see pics. IT'S A SET-UP...IT'S A SET-UP....LOL MH
  18. Jerrygarcia, How many graphs did you receive ?? What was your hairloss like before the work....NW scale ?? Look forward to seeing the pics. I also just used Dr.E...looking good so far just under 5 months. MH
  19. Good stuff Gorpy...lol. From what I've seen and heard on this site....all the coalition docs are top notch. It's great Dr.Feller and a few others love to show their stuff on this site...more power to ya....you guys do great work. I'm not even five months post-op yet but have people around me that I told about my surgery...raving about the work. Every day I look at my new hairline...and can't believe it. Two people wanted to my doctors name...i proudly gave it to them. I was born and raised in New York and I'm in the restaurant business. Some of the best restaurants serving the best food...do little advertising...word of mouth fills the seats. Everybody has a different approach to success. Again...all these docs are the tops in my opinion. Make your choice and enjoy. MH
  20. PGP, All is good pal and I agree. Hopefully in a couple of months TTDS is seeing alot more growth....we ALL will be very happy about that. It's hard for me not to a little bias because I used Epstein....let's be honest. But this doc is so respected by the other docs I talked with...this was just to much. I'm not a kiss ass and would be the first to call a spade a spade. Happy growing to all you guys. I'm now going to take a shower and wash my new hair....lol MH
  21. Hmmmm.... This is getting interesting. It would be great to see more pictures....but this is not a "no growth" patient...if it's anything he's MAYBE a slow-grower. I gotta tell ya...I thought "witch hunt" might have been a bit of a stretch at first...just changed my mind. TDDS was the one going through this and he was the calmest of the bunch. I'm really happy for you ttds...your going to be ok after all. It was a large area you needed covered and I'm sure everyone involved here knows 2500+ graphs over such a large area will probably at 9 months....look exactly like that....I don't care if god himself did the surgery. An area such as that would need at least 4500+ for some sort of an illusion of density. To whom it may concern....Dr.Epstein's address is on his website...the flowers can be sent there....at least to his techs....they break their asses all day....hopefully didn't read all this. This whole episode made me a little nervous. Even though I had my job done with Epstein 4 1/2 months ago and it's really growing well...this kind of story....even though totally blown out of proportion...still not fun to read. I chose Dr.Epstein because he's one of the best... and even though this story is not totally over yet...I realize even now more than ever...He's one of the best. TTDS...can't wait to see your 12 month pictures my friend...sleep well. MH
  22. Hey Doctor E. I was always wondering why you removed my strip in two parts....well now I know. I'm only 4 1/2 months out but looking good. My friggin' birthdays go by so quickly...but the months after a HT of course crawl....lol MH
  23. Please Grow Please, When I mentioned about Dr.Epstein taking care of this patient if he doesn't grow....I actually wasn't kidding. I'm sure in this special case Epstein will(even though I feel he does this all the time) be all over the second pass ttds might need. Now of course with that comment somebody's going to jump in and say why is he caring so much with the second pass...he should've done it the first time.....not what i mean. Maybe he'll spend most of the time in the operating room. From what I understand alot of the docs are in and out of the room. I read other patients experiences and most say their docs are in and out all day. This is a rough guess but maybe the docs implant 30% of the graphs themselves ??? Our pal ttds will have Epstein all over this....and that's a good thing. I'm hoping of course it's delayed growth as Dr.Bernstein states in his writings. And if it is...some people are going to have to send Epstein some flowers. MH
  24. Not sure I understand your question. The doc places the graphs so no matter your future hairloss...the "new" hair looks natural and in a normal pattern. The"new" hair will never be lost so future loss will not look strange. MH
