  1. TampaMan,

Congratulations on your procedure with Dr. Rose. I encourage you to present photos showcasing your results by creating a photo album, blog or hair loss website.

    Best wishes,

  2. Nice profile picture! Is that you?

  3. Wb280, I'm glad to see that you're no longer a faceless robot. Love the picture...is it your dream car or do you already own it? :-)

    1531 HT,

Welcome to our new Hair Restoration Social Community and enhanced discussion forum. Feel free to customize your profile by sharing your story, creating blogs, sharing your treatment regimen, presenting your hair restoration photos, and uploading videos. You can also join groups and interact with other members via public chat and instant message those you add to your friends.

I noticed that you've joined as a hair restoration physician/staff rather than a regular member. Do you represent Dr. Rahal or are you one of his patients? If you've signed up as a hair restoration physician in error, let me know and I can make the change to your profile.

  5. I remember that feeling of want all to well, waiting for my new hair to pop through the scalp at any time. But reality suggests that 9 weeks is just still too early to see any real changes, even if you do happen to become one of those lucky early growers. But hang in there. Growth will come in time.

    Best wishes,

    Bill (Falceros)

  6. Right on Custard. This community is great for research.

Best wishes in making a decision and selecting a quality surgeon for your next procedure,

    Bill Seemiller (Falceros)

  7. Right on HughShaw! Dr. Siporin seems to have done an excellent job for you. I also see that you're thinking about scar micropigmentation. However, since you're only 3 months post-op, it's a good idea to give your hair transplant scar a chance to heal and mature prior to considering any next steps. You may find that you can cut your hair pretty short without needing anything else to camouflage it.

I look forward to your next update.

    Best wishes,

    Bill Seemiller (Falceros)

  8. From Bald to Bold,

Yep, part of the joy of hosting a popular hair restoration community that includes a robust social network is having fictitious users sign up and send spam messages. Unfortunately, there's no way of stopping someone from manually signing up unless we specifically moderate all new members. The problem is that we don't want to scare away new legitimate members because they have to be manually approved before they can start posting. So unless someone can come up with an idea to eliminate spammers before they appear, we have to deal with it occasionally.

And each time a spammer signs up, they use a new email address and IP address. So sadly, there's no way of blocking them.

    Thanks for your concerns,

    Bill Seemiller (Falceros)

  9. HughShaw,

Thanks for creating photo albums showing the progress of your hair transplant. Everything looks to be healing well so far. Who was your physician? I don't see it mentioned on your social profile.

    Best wishes,

    Bill Seemiller (Falceros)

  10. John,

Ok, I see that you've created a patient website to document your progress and results. I've taken the liberty of adding the link to your patient website to your social profile.

I look forward to your next update.

    Best wishes,

    Bill Seemiller (Falceros)

  11. Blake, it's great to finally see a picture of what you look like. Thanks for sharing it :-).

  12. David, great before and after photo. After the results come in from your next hair transplant, you should create a before, bald, and after picture showing "too much hair", "not enough hair" and then "just right" :-).

  13. Albion,

I started a forum discussion topic featuring your hair transplant experience with links to your newly created blogs. You can view it by clicking here.

    Best wishes and happy growing!

  17. Campbell,

It's truly noble and altruistic to want to help others. And kudos for working in such a challenging and rewarding profession helping people in need.

Hair transplant surgery is never a "need", but sometimes our hair loss can impact our lives so much that the want is powerful. Personally, my confidence and self-esteem was affected and I spent way too much time thinking about my hair, or lack thereof. After my third procedure, I finally felt I had enough hair to go about my life without constantly worrying whether or not people were staring at my head while I wasn't wearing a hat. So for me, my decision to proceed with hair transplant surgery improved my quality of life and allowed me to focus more of my time helping others.

Ultimately, you'll have to decide the right path for you. In the meantime, this community is here to help guide you in whatever you choose for yourself.

I look forward to your involvement.

    Best wishes,
