  1. azn_guy I was very satisfied with Dr. Cooley the first time around,..that is why I went back to him. 1500 grafts is not a large procedure imo but I was very impressed with the results. I don't know if it was continued progressive loss of un-transplanted hair or simply hair greed but I felt more density was achievable and a worthwhile investment. In fact, up to the last day before the procedure I wondered if at my age ( 54 ) was it really even necessary because the current amount of hair I had was probably a bit fuller than many men my age, but, I work hard try to stay in overall shape, I don't have the financial responsibilities other men my age might have to deal with and it seems like looking your best ( although I don't think it should ) prolongs your viability in the work force. It seemed like a good investment and based on my previous experience with Dr. Cooley, I have no doubt that this procedure will also exceed my expectations. I have been following your comments and posts since your procedure and appreciate you sharing your experience.
  2. I have just returned home from a 9 hour drive after a small procedure with Dr. Cooley yesterday. This is the second procedure that I had performed by Dr. Cooley and his staff. This time I received 800 grafts after my first procedure of 1500 grafts about 3 years ago. I just wanted a bit more density this time. The 800 grafts were placed entirely within existing hair and he did not ask for, and I even offered to, did not shave my recipient area for the procedure. I know it took them more time because of this but I think that it shows the high regard Dr. Cooley and his staff hold for the patient. I am writing so soon after returning home to convey my complete satisfaction and gratitude at this point.I am experiencing minimal pain at the donor region but I have not yet taken any pain medicine today, Dr. Cooley and his staff were highly professional and generous. I have no doubt that the results will be the success that I hope for. I will return to Dr. Cooley in about 2 weeks to have sutures removed. At this point I am confident that I will experience excellent results and I highly recommend Dr. Cooley and his staff.
