  1. I always had naturally receded temple peaks much like yours since I was young. It bothered me slightly, but the rest of my hair falling out was a much bigger concern. Now that it's receded back further I do need to get some put into the sides to bring them forward a bit. I'd say go ahead and do it, but don't try to bring them forward too much or you may feel like you don't look like you. I wouldn't worry too much about further receding because it should only take a small amount of grafts to fill in the space.
  2. They can't get better at it because they aren't the Drs performing the surgeries. They (Chris McTyre and Logan Lynch) were probably techs or consultants working for other hair transplant Drs at one time and decided they can make more money opening their own HT clinic. But they can't actually perform the surgeries, so they hire inexperienced Drs who are just starting out and getting some practice in before leaving to go on their own or they hire Drs who couldn't make it in other areas and were maybe barred from performing surgery in their chosen field. Experienced HT Drs wouldn't work for them because they would just own their own clinic and make more. So these guys offer low priced HTs to get people in the door who are more interested in getting it cheap than who is doing the HT or what is actually being done to them until it's too late. The actual Drs are always moving on and being replaced along with changing the company name. That keeps them (McTyre and Lynch) from being held liable for anything that goes wrong because they didn't perform the transplant and they can say the Dr who did they already got rid of (probably left on his own, but that doesn't matter). What can you do? This is the same kind of thing that the place I went to did for over 30 years
  3. You see in the video it's even a different name. Bio Science Hair of Colorado. Like I said earlier, they will just keep changing the name, changing who is the one in charge, maybe change locations once in a while, etc etc. They can do this their entire lifetime. The place I went to did it for 30 plus years until they all eventually retired.
  4. I looked at these links. Here is what happens (My opinion based on what I'm reading. I'm not a lawyer). Logan Lynch started Re-Grow Hair of Colorado LLC on 8/10/2020. In the state of Colorado every business must file a form yearly stating their current phone number, address, who is in charge, etc. There can't be 2 businesses with exactly the same name. If they don't file then they become non compliant and after about a year of non compliance they become Delinquent. Once they are Delinquent that business name is no longer considered registered and another person or company is free to use the name if they register it. Re-Grow Hair of Colorado with Logan Lynch as executive failed to file any further paperwork and became non compliant and then eventually delinquent. This was probably on purpose. At that time Chris McTyre registers his "new" business with the same name that Logan Lynch had, Re-Grow Hair of Colorado LLC on 6/9/2021 It is then a new company even though they are in the same office, probably the same phone number, same employees, etc. This is done so they can legally claim they do not have any unsatisfied patients and if any previous patients try to sue they can claim that they are not associated with the company that did that hair transplant as they were not in business then. They will most likely have paperwork showing they did not purchase the business and only purchased the patient list from the previous company that went out of business or bankrupt. There's more to it with the lease that is new with a different name (previously Logan and now Chris) and not a renewal, etc, etc They can continue doing musical chairs with who is in charge for years without the public or current patients even knowing it's happening. It looks like the state of Colorado (probably unintentionally) makes it easy to do this with the way they automatically put you into delinquent and let your business name be used by someone else if you simply stop filing a yearly online form.
  5. Yes! that's the one. Thanks. Yeah @Sanjar41. I couldn't remember the screen name. Thanks. I'm wondering if it's the same people running both. I specifically remember it was $2 per graft. That's why I'm thinking it may be the same people involved. They just close up one clinic once they get bad ratings and open another one with a different name. That's what the first clinic I went to did several times. Every few years they would change their name.
  6. I bumped my head on a shower door one time and lost a graft. If you can get to a Dr within a few hours afterwards then it can be reinserted. Otherwise just forget about it. A couple of grafts is not going to ruin an entire transplant. If it's not along the hairline then you may not even notice once everything is grown in.
  7. I didn't see any Dr mentioned on their web site. They advertise $2 per graft for FUE. This sounds alot like another clinic in Colorado (I think) where someone here had a horrible experience and had to get a repair. I wish I could remember the name. I'm looking at Colorado Hair Institute and I'm thinking that may be it, just renamed and maybe relocated, but it may be another one. Anyone out there remember who it was who had $2 per graft done and I think had large plug grafts?
  8. If it's truely a NW 7 then you are going to have to use a lot of body hair grafts.
  9. Not stupid at all. For years I have wondered the same thing. I had a NW 6 pattern when I was born and I was a NW 6 by my early 20s.
  10. I just took this now. This is about 2 years after the last chest/abdomen session. I did a session last year, but only took beard hair from that one. As you can see I still have a decent amount of hair on my chest and abdomen, so I'll be going back again soon. I put a zoomed in picture here too, so you can see the little white dots. Honestly, in person you can only see the white dot scars if you really get in close and look for them.... and who is ever going to be doing that? I go to work every day and everywhere else with my shirt on unless it's Summer and I'm at the beach or something. I'd much rather have hair on my head where that area is seen every day by anyone I meet or pass by rather than worry about that one time I was out without a shirt on. I've seen women with freckles all over their chest which looks MUCH worse and that's natural.
  11. I have used approximately 3000 chest and abdomen grafts and 3000 beard grafts. The chest and abdomen grafts have grown OK, but I feel the beard grafts have worked better. The chest/abdomen grafts grow a bit more curly on me and maybe not as long as the beard grafts. However it's hard for me to truly tell because I mostly opted to mix them all together rather than place certain graft types in certain areas because I wanted it all to blend together the same everywhere.
  12. Even if a clinic offers both methods, you still don't know which one they are better at.
  13. It could be that he saw a few completely bald spots in the thinning hair and felt maybe you could have a bit of Alopecia Areata going on as well as MPB. It may be a good idea to check that out if that's what he is saying. I'm just guessing based on what you wrote.
  14. Yeah I think in your situation, totally shaving the sides and back may be the best short term solution visually. I have seen a couple of really bad shock loss cases where all the hair fell out even worse than yours and those eventually grew back pretty well.
  15. You can use it on the donor area. It helps with itching and healing. Don't use it on the recipient area.
  16. I'd really like to see some after results of beard grafts at around the 3 year mark. I had several chest and beard FUE sessions over the past 8 years and mine always softens and straightens a lot between the 2 and 3 year time frame.
  17. The best thing to do right now is just wait a few months for it to grow and then you can see what it looks like. Then you can get a proper assessment as to what is required going forward.
  18. I was back at work about 8 days after a FUE of 1055 grafts, but the donor was from my chest and beard, not the usual donor area.
  19. You probably have some shock loss going on. Give it a few months to start growing back in.
  20. Wow. That video really bothers me. It's obvious that they are implanting too dense and not leaving any room around the grafts for blood flow. They show numerous cases of their own where the patient gets poor growth because of it and yet they continue to do it. Why? They then have to go back and retransplant the areas to fix them. It's obvious that these patients would have gotten better growth if they had less grafts transplanted and they would not have needed to go back for a fix and use up even more grafts. Why would a clinic continue to do this?? And worse yet... why would they make a video showing the world how bad they are?
  21. I think this was first tried by Dr Gho about 20 years ago It never panned out. They attempt to cut the follicle in half, leaving part of it still in the donor area of your scalp and the other half they transplant. The theory is that if done right both damaged halves will heal themselves and both will grow hair, thus you still have the donor hair growing and you also have a new hair growing in the recipient site. I think he tried it on a number of patients and the results were poor with low growth rates and weak, damaged hair that may not last more than a few years if it did grow. Could results have improved since then? Possibly, but I'd think it would be much bigger news if it did.
  22. 1. I don't know if I'd say they tried to scam you, but the end result does turn out that way. Someone can be the nicest person and really care about you, but that doesn't make them good at their job. This is the same with anything. You could need work on your house and have a good friend tell you he'll do it cheap, but the work he does ends up being a total crap job that costs you a lot more and needs to be totally redone. Did your friend try to scam you? No, but being a good friend doesn't mean he is good at whatever job he tries to help you with. It could be that the Dr you went to has a great personality, but just isn't very good at hair transplants. 2. I will take a guess that they charged you for extractions rather than how many grafts were implanted. There are a couple of foreign "hair mill" clinics that I believe do this. If they only have less than say 20% of grafts that are not good and don't get implanted, then most people would never notice on larger sessions. It's only on cases where they get a high percentage of bad extractions where it's noticeable. This is what I think happened to you. So... what happened to all those grafts? Well yes they basically would throw them away because they weren't viable grafts. They wouldn't grow even if they implanted them, so it was better that they didn't. There are several reasons for bad extractions. a) The punch depth is not deep enough to reach past the bottom of the follicle, so when they pull the graft out they don't get the follicle is still rooted in your scalp and the graft just ends up being flesh with no hair in it. These will usually grow back as the follicle root is still there intact in your donor scalp. b) Transection. They cut across the hair and as before they don't get the follicle root. All they get is the top part of the hair, but with no root it's not going to grow. These too will usually grow back, but some may not if they cut through the follicle root itself. c) You appear to have very fine hair and fine hair doesn't hold everything together as well when pulling out the graft, so the graft may basically disintegrate as they are pulling it out and not have any or enough flesh left on it to be useable. c) Poor handling of grafts after they are extracted. I agree with you on the Toppik suggestion by the clinic. That disgusted me as well when I had a bunch of transplants many years ago and then after years of transplants with them they gave me a bottle of some type of concealer. Are you kidding!? I spent all that time and money so I wouldn't have to put fake stuff in my hair to make it look full. What was the point of the hair transplant if I was still going to have to do that. Yep. That bugged me.
  23. If this is the before picture, I'm puzzled as to why you had a hair transplant. In any case you may have some shock loss and you will have to wait several months to see how well the donor area heals.
  24. At your consultation they suggested 600 grafts to beef up the front and 1600 in the crown. Looking at your pictures I would say I tend to agree with them. You still have a lot of hair in the front half, so you don't need too many there at his time. You say you are on finasteride, but you are sill losing hair, so we should assume the front hair will all be gone eventually. That means you will eventually need another 2500 to 3500 grafts in the front half at a later time, so don't put too many grafts into the crown right now. Save them for the front half.
