  1. Respectfully disagree, I would not risk the possible scar stretch so soon. (Yeah the grafts would be o.k. though) Play it safe, NW
  2. Light Cardio after 1 month...ok Weights..conservatively after 2 months...o.k. Were my instructions post-op
  3. To suggest the Doc's in Europe have all the correct answers is really quite funny Propecia usage: To each his own !!! Forum's are for info from others, and if Propecia has had a positive impact, one should relay thier own story ?? it doesnt take a doc to make a recommendation, I like hearing "personal results & stories"... "in addition" to the doc.

    Hair piece?

Mahair, I am seriously doubting your ability to listen. Why continue to whine about shock loss at 2 months when everyone has told you it happens ?? You are going to look like absolute hell until 6 months or so. You went to arguably the absolute worst hair mill - toss-up with Bosley. Did anyone usher you in to MHR ?? if so, who ?? Your mother ??, or did you make a quick & fast choice from fancy marketing ?? Now its time to start the learning process. Like everyone has said, you have to give the freakin' hair time to grow in. Then just hope MHR didnt butcher you, you may get lucky. At 6 months time there is a very large support group here more than willing to help you solve any issues, but nobody can asess the damage so soon, if any ?. Please stop repeating your posts and start the reading & learning process. If you want help you have to listen, most guys on here have had at least 1 HT, several more than 1. NW
  5. I will tell you I too was devistated by shock-loss, it did grow back in the initial 6 month period, honestly on my 1st HT I had to wear a hat for the 1st 4 months, I lost a great deal of top scalp hair (it really sucked!!). Shock-loss is far more typical on a patients 1st HT, I actually had zero shock-loss on my "2nd" HT. My advice is to hang in there ! I am extremely happy after 2 HT's, but I know how I felt during the shock-loss period, I had several doubts about what I did. Keep in touch
  6. Nobody can judge a HT at 2 months. Plain & simple. MHR should have better explained shock-loss, it sounds like you had no idea what it was & are now surprised ??. No Doc should leave any HT Patient so clueless, I understand your anger. but, after the initial 6 months is a better time to judge. Not defending MHR by any means here. NW
  7. S.o.a.p. Your scar will look 10X better in even 3 months, it looks like a very good job though at this stage. I also noticed the frontal area looks very well healed for 4 weeks. Happy growing & thanks for posting pics !!
  8. Hang in there buddy ! That shock loss sucks ! & I have been there, but it came back and after 4 mo's or so I was pretty jazzed seeing the new stuff. IMO give it till month 6-7 before you judge. NW
  9. UNCJim, Cool Brutha ! & the new convertible on order ?? NW

    zinc/b6

I have nothing personal against any guy trying anything....hair tonics and baldness cure's have been around forever, how many have stood the test of time ? Julius Ceasar wore leaves on his head to cover his thinning scalp !! If you asked "him" he would probably reply that it solved his baldness... Good Luck !! NW

My dermatologist thinks it is idiotic and could actually "irritate" your scalp. I asked Dr. Bernstien on that same forumn: his response: "it is B.S.". Personally I think the joker on that site is mis-leading people with his constant post's. His "mix up a batch" makes it sound like a homeade Godsend. But you be your own judge !! that is my take. And a wedsite doesnt make a product legit. NW
  12. I am an advocate of Propecia, it works and works well for me. But.. This may not be related but it seems I have far more muscle aches and/or joint aches. Admitedly I am 40+, but it does seem to be about when I started the medication, which by the way when I stopped temporarily....the muscle aches stopped soon after. Then, Went back on Propecia, the aches came back ?? Yes this is wild, but anyone else experienced anything similiar ?? I dont want to blame everything on Propecia - except my stronger hair !! ????????? NW
  13. Bverotti, Nice pics - (cute wifey too !) Good luck on #2, I am sure Dr Jones will do a marvelous job. NW
  14. Both of my HT's I had numbness Each time the feeling went completely away by the 1 year point or a bit sooner. NW
  15. Vocor, Cool !!! Its a great day - when you can feel that way ! NW
  16. I have heard alcohol is a DHT blocker. <lol> Then there is the rock stars, Steven Tyler, years of drugs..full head of hair... Ooops I guess David Lee Roth & Phil Collins didnt do enough drugs... I'll stick with Genetics. Cheers ! NW
  17. Agree Manko, I have seen his "slick" mailers he sends to possible HT candidates, impressive to a "newbie".
  18. Remember the key to a successful business is... A great marketing plan. High quality business's fail due to a lack of marketing unfortunately... Low quality business's often are very profitable due to successful marketing. In business classes I learned you are as good as your marketing plan. Often this is the case. This is nothing against Dr Brandy, but I have my suspicions....be careful ! NW
  19. hmm I know several heavy coffee drinkers over 70 with great hair - maybe it (Caffeine) helps grow hair ?? I think it is rubbish !! Everything it seems has been blamed for MPB, lets face it - its part of ones genetic makeup.
  20. Hey ttaco how ya been ? I go with .5 mg propecia or 1/2 of the normal dose daily....works great. Some, I have heard go 1 mg every other day. so... I tried .25 mg propecia daily, but not enough to help, so back to .5 mg daily and hair is staying put. That is my regime nothing else. I do like Nioxin, but only as a shampoo/Conditioner and dont believe it does anything for MPB. NW
  21. I did experience "post Propecia" hairloss. I cut my dose down too far and in appx 8 weeks I started to notice some definate crown thinning - so naturally I went back to my normal dose. The stuff does work long term !! unfortunately it stops when you stop......that was my experience anyways - it only reaffirmed my commitment to staying the course. (I have used Propecia for 3+ years.) NW
  22. Sharp, I think you can realize some benefits with HT, a good doc, all FU, and fairly consevative hairline...it can make a difference. I assume you have good donor hair and have a method to slow or halt your MPB (Proscar ?). I also would like to know what type of hat that was that attracted them babes !!! Good Luck !! NW
  23. 3 1/2 months is not a good judgement time, but rather 4 1/2 - 6 months. Just think "Elvis"
  24. I would support the 2 HT sessions approach, with the 1st HT session being the larger one, the 2nd being the "add density" and "fine tuning" session. Even though doc can do a 1 pass HT pretty well now days, its nice to have a chance to be able to evaluate and finish up with a 2nd HT. NW
  25. The guy may have more hair..but he is still "quite thin" between the ears...if you know what I mean. Anyone who gets a HT and credits a scam product is a loser, no excuses. NW
