  1. Pumpkin - You're right on the money, I was told the exact info you just quoted, I have courser individual hair strands, rec'd very good coverage during my HT's, but in a numbers match I would most likely have less overall hair shafts than a guy with thinner hair may have. This is in general, perhaps not always true, but usually the case. Now how about if Nature re-writes the rules and gives us all "course and dense" hair in the afterlife ? like say Elvis etc...
  2. Cool ! I am sure you will be jazzed around the 4-5 month point - hope so !! it seems like pretty rapid new growth through even 6-7 mo's.
  3. Congrats ! I have heard nice comments about Dr Charles, however very few (if any) have posted any photo's that I can recall, are you going to post anything ?..maybe even some confidential (face blacked out)shots ? Either way happy growing ! NW
  4. Some guys need a slightly higher dose to combat the DHT levels.
  5. uncjim, Quite interesting ! now I know who to blame, since my Dad does have a full head of hair & I did not. (do now..lol) Interestingly Blue eye's are recessive as well, 2 blue eye'd parents will always have a blue eye'd child etc..etc.. the genetic chart is very similiar to the MPB. Thanks ! NW
  6. I have had 2 HT's and you cannot insert FUE's into my scar ?? it is far too thin. I do think your suggestions are reasonable for most guys...but Case by case..things differ NW
  7. You have a healthy looking head of hair, what is great is that you can possibly address your MPB early on and never go fully bald like Dad. MPB drugs - are a personal decision and some chose not to use Propecia etc... I respect thier own decisions, but I "do" take Propecia and it has curbed my hairloss, after all you are fighting a genetic battle. At this point you may opt to do absolutely nothing, and just keep an eye on things, since you really have a healthy head of hair. A bit of temple recession doesnt always mean you are going to be "crome dome" bald, in fact slight temple recession makes a man look like a man !. At this point dont worry, stay hairloss educated, enjoy your youth. And I would bet your future hair options will keep you from being bald like Dad. If you see a serious bald pattern starting see a dermatologist, ask about options. In my opinion you may not even need Propecia at this point ?. A good dermatologist can determine if you have any hair miniturization, which is what happens when you hair waves good-bye and does not come back (balding), see what he/she says ? 8. Is Dr True doing All Fu work ? I thought I heard he has updated from micro/mini's ?.
  9. Nittanyfan, At 19 and in that shape, I would almost anticipate HT is NOT going to be a good option, he will be a NW7 or worse in due time, I agree use the medications and hope for the best, but remember supply/demand may not be there. I would definately be on Propecia NOW (IMO). Good Luck ! NW
  10. Please do keep us up to date on the FUE from Dr. Feller, I realize scars are tough business to deal with and am interested if Dr Feller's FUE has any better success. NW
  11. I am in agreement !! more info the better. Thanks !
  12. Pappas, I agree there are some shills or at least people of question on this site, How close is the Doc/Patient relationship and also the financial possibilities of refferals ? (very good point - I agree). On the other hand this site has saved more than a few from walking in the doors to Bosley - MHR etc..or sometimes even worse a plastic surgeon doing "part time" HT. The educational properties here are quite important to a person considering HT. Looking at a list of poor doctor names is fine but it teaches you nothing about the process, view as many sites and obtain as much info as possible, in my opinion this site is an excellent place to monitor. NW
  13. I thought Dr Feller just did this ? are these the 500 FUE's you just posted about last month ? Please clear the air .. Thanks
  14. Good hairloss info is typically free (like this site) and often a book is outdated by the time it hits the retail market. My opinion - Save your cash $$$$$
  15. Hi JRod, My opinion, Kill the Rogaine for 6 months, see what happens. Dont stop Propecia, at least keep 1/2 strength dose going. Go back to the combo if needed after 6 months, Rogaine is not any help to me, where as Propecia made a big difference....but all guys differ. Good Luck ! NW
  16. I think the true mark of Propecia success or no-success is 1 year, this gives your body ample time to stabilize and the growth cycle time to really go through the motions fully. Things could change or occur sooner, but it is a slow acting drug, and hair takes a few months min. to really grow out. NW
  17. S.O.A.P. I saw the pics, The work looks very good ! Happy growing And... Yes go ahead and buy that convertable for next summer!!! NW
  18. Most docs say 1 year is the true test of Propecia, I tend to agree. NW
  19. My observations: Often guys have increased libido for the 1st 4-6 months or so, then things stabilize, or the opposite, a decreased libido, then things stabilize. I have taken Propecia .5 mg daily, for 3+ years and can say I can notice a slight difference also - slightly less drive - but I had slightly more drive when I 1st started ??., but even now, not enough change to interefere with the "act" itself. I would suggest trying a lower dose before quiting altogther, when I quit Propecia, I started losing hair again, especially in the crown. Alot of men only take 1/2 dose with good results, including me. On the lighter side: Go 1/2 dose for 6 months - find the hottest strip club and asess the results. Honestly speaking libido itself varies widely on any guy even those not on any drug, and even by season, I like the strip club test !! a legit excuse to paint the town !! Good Luck ! 20. Congrats !! I cant wait to see the after pics, I am sure there will be a nice improvement ! NW
  21. Jenn, Absolutely nothing wrong with being a caring type - you did the proper thing. Some people on-line enjoy being fakes and losers !! Oh well <sigh> !! NW
  22. Propecia ? I started to thin upon reducing my dose, so I have left my dose at .5 mg daily. Though I have had no serious side effects, I have noticed the following minor side effects: 1) Slight weight gain, & actually a more lathargicness towards working out, & perhaps a bit less work-out intensity, just not quite my pre-Propecia vigor. 2) Reduction in waking up pointing upward..lol, but by the same token have had no probelms with performance. 3) Slightly more frequent muscle ache's. None of these side effects I consider Huge issues or major trouble. However I do fully understand side effetcs others can have while on the drug - They are real. And of course several men have zero side effects and Propecia may be very well tolerated. I hope my observations may help ! at this point I have chosen to stay the course with .5 Propecia daily. Good Luck ! NW
  23. It does appear to be yet another jokester !
  24. Very good point Mr-T, it is not the best idea planting grafts in areas of exsisting hair - quite risky actually. I would wait for some true recession before putting in grafts. NW
  25. I am sorry here, but realistically relying on chest hair for your head is a very desperate measure ?? I dont mean this personally to anyone, especially if it is the "only" way to "correct" poor work....But I could never justify such an extreme plan for anyones head. just 2 cents NW
