  1. Good luck. As others noted, there are many positive comments posted about Dr. Feller.
  2. kaounis--- Thanks for sharing your experience with Dr. K. As Eman pointed out, there have been some great results posted. Glad to hear you are happy with the experience.
  3. Thanks for sharing. You must be very excited considering all of the positive comments you hear about Dr. Rahal.
  4. I only told two people---my friend who went with me and my barber. When all is said and done, my friend will be very supportive. She will say it looks good, having a less critical eye. My barber, on the other hand, will be brutally honest. I had quite of bit of red when I went back to work after three weeks so I figured most thought something was going on, but probably did not know specifically what. As time passes and if the result ends up completely natural and maybe since I took a more conservative approach, I am thinking/hoping, like Biscuit indicated, people will forget quickly.
  5. Petchski---Glad to hear that you are feeling good about the growth up to this point. It looks very good to me and is a nice improvement from the previous post.
  6. When I was very young I also had HT with the plugs and I ultimately had them removed (surgery) and was very happy once removed. As my hair thinned the two scars (one left front and one right front) became more noticeable. So, a little over 5 months ago, I went for transplant with new technology. It is still too early to determine final result and I did share some concerns in my 5 month blog (just thinking out loud). I will wait for a year or so to judge the final result. I will keep updating and feel free to monitor my progress or ask questions, if you would like. I am sorry to hear about the bad experiences and hope for the best.
  7. Space, As you noted, this is an extremely tough decision and, of course, only you can make it. As others said, we will support any decision you make. You certainly did your research and selected someone whose results are consistently very good. One thing to remember, if you do go for it, it is a long process and you may have ups and downs during the during the process. However, remember it is the final result that ultimately counts. Best of luck whatever you decide.
  8. I can only speak to my 5 month period. Sunlight and lighting make a difference. My blog shows differences.
  9. I like what dakota3 wrote. With that said, if you do move forward, I would consider the more conservative hair line at this point and some crown work. I think this provides more options later on as hair loss progresses.
  10. Everything looks very good. Congratulations. You may want to consider what PLEASE GROW PLEASE wrote. I went to every other day and it did make a difference.
  11. I am glad you are pleased your progress, as well you should be. Congratulations.
  12. canadian_buba - Appears to be very nice progress for 3 months. Sounds luck you will be completely out of the doldrums soon. Of course, you have a long way to go. Dr. Rahal does excellent work.
  13. FenderPlayer - Just to echo everyone else. This is very nice growth. Glad you are pleased, as well you should be. Congratulations! Bill - Thanks for mentioning difference at 5 months. Being a little over 5 months, I did take note.
  14. Like others, I am very sorry to hear about your result. Thanks for sharing your experience and alerting us. Hopefully, when the time is right for you, you will look at options for improvement. This site can help.
  15. Thanks for updating us on your experience with Dr. Beehner. I am glad that you are pleased with the result and that it was a terrific experience for you. It is a very nice improvement.
  16. forever young ??“ Thanks for taking the time to respond to my blog update. I appreciate you sharing your experience with Dr. Bernstein including time frame. Your results look very nice and natural. Of course, Dr. Feller has an excellent reputation and I am sure you will be very pleased with those results. I understand what you mean about hair greed. You are certainly not alone. Best of luck to you as well. Happy growing and keep up posted.
  17. HairHope ??“ Thanks for taking the time to respond. I appreciate you sharing your perspective, and your words of encouragement and compliment. Yogi's Dad ??“ Thanks, again, for all of your comments/support. Your result looks excellent. Very natural. I like what you recently added to your blog. Eman ??“ As usual, thanks for all of your support throughout the process. Your presence on this site helps to make it the quality it is today. I tried to find a compliment on your result up to this point that had not already been said, but I gave up. I think Dr. Rahal should add your pictures to his web site. Ceasar08 ??“ Thanks for your supporting comments. I appreciate you sharing your experience and thoughts on the process. It was helpful. Bill - You are right. I should change my alias. Next time I sign up for a site as good as this one, I will plan my login name a little better. I am truly amazed at the significance of the difference in lighting. I knew there would be a difference, but not to the extent that it is. That is why, like many others have said, pictures only tell part of the story. Talking to and seeing patients are very important. I appreciate your comments on my progress. Please know that I am not judging the result at this time. I also want everyone to know that I am not criticizing Dr. Bernstein at all. Just sort of thinking out loud as I go through the process. Like you and others said, 5 months is too early to judge the final result. Congratulations on your recent HT. It looks very good. And thanks for your support of this site. You have a tough job (sometimes tougher than others) and you handle it very well.
  18. I have updated my blog---5 months. I decided to take all pictures yesterday, which is exactly 5 months. Pictures are taken outside, in car (with sunroof cover open) and at work (new building with fluorescent lights). All pictures were taken with the iPhone. I also added two pictures taken about 2 weeks earlier taken with regular camera in more favorable lighting. As many of you noted, lighting makes a difference and pictures can be misleading. If I were to visit Dr. Bernstein today, I would share two concerns: First, in regard to the right side hair line. The direction of hair is straight up with a lean to the center. I part my hair on the left side to the right, so that may be a problem down the road. The right hair line is also not as full as I hope it will be when all is said and done. My barber (hair cut last Tuesday) seemed to think the main issue is the length of the hairline at this time. He thinks once it grows out it should not be an issue. I do have a scare on that side and that be impacting the result. My second concern is that the left side is coming in slower. The hairline is just beginning on left side, but is looking good. I am also wondering if there an area were there where no graphs or hair will not grow. I also have scar on that side, but not as pronounced as the other side. Of course, like most everyone at 5 months, I am anticipating/hoping for more. With all of this said, overall I am pleased with the progress over the past month. Coincidently, yesterday, exactly 5 months from the HT, I did get a very nice compliment on my hair from someone at work, which was nice since I struggle the most under those lights.

  20. Yogi's Dad --- Thanks for these as well as your previous comments. I agree that the outside pictures do tell a different story than the inside ones. It is interesting how different it can look, depending on the lighting and quality of the photo and whatever other factors that go into how it may look at a particular time and location. Objectively, I think I have more hair than the inside picture indicates and less than the outside indicates. Go figure. PLEASE GROW PLEASE --- Given what I had done previously and then undone, I may very well be on the same track as you were. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and your encouraging comments. thanatopsis_awry --- Thanks for taking the time to respond to my post. I genuinely appreciate your supportive comments. I took a look at your blog. Great results. To all --- Appreciate all of the encouraging and supportive comments. Find them very helpful during this "roller coaster", transitional period.
  21. Hey E--- Thanks for your comments and support. I appreciate it. Hope things are good.
