  1. I think he is asking us since he is uncertain if he wants to move forward. If he does move forward and regrets it for some reason, the consequences are significant. If he does not move forward at this time and regrets it, the consequences are much less significant. He can always move forward at a later date when he is more certain. Again, Rachmunas4life, best of luck whatever you decide.
  2. I had my procedure on November 10 and still have redness in the recipient area. Have some hair to cover but still looks a little noticeable, but don't think anyone know what it is. Mostly looks like the worst combover in the history of combovers. I suspect in a couple of weeks it will be a non issue. Again, recovery time varies.
  3. Just to add to the above, I was advised to wait three weeks after the HT to dye hair. I decided to wait longer, though.
  4. This looks very good. And no shaving required makes it easier to cover the work. Congratulations.
  5. Thanks, again, Eman. Things seem to be improving everyday as you suggested. Yesterday, I met with some people at work that I have not seen since I been back, and I did not get the look, if you know what I mean.
  6. Glad to see you are taking time to do research and not rushing into it. I would like to echo what hairthere and eman stated. I think you are better off waiting and see how things develop over time. This is a serious commitment it seems to me that you do not have to commit to at this point in time. Good luck, though, whatever you decide to do.
  7. youngsuccess, Best of luck with your follow up procedure. Sounds like you did a good amount of research and I am thinking this will provide you with the results you are looking for. Congratulations.
  8. Hi Eman, I actually purchased some dermmatch (light brown) but decided not to use at this time and take your advice to heal and breath. I am just walking around with the worst combover in the history of combovers, to hide the red/pink. Thanks for the solid advice.
  9. Can you take a look at the attached pic and let me know what color toppik you think would most closely match my hair color. I would appreciate advice from those who have experience with the product. Also, any suggestions on where to buy and best way to apply would be appreciated. Thanks
  10. Thanks for the additional information Bill. In two days, it will be four weeks since I had my procedure. So far it appears minimal shock loss. I thought I was out of the woods but the 5th starts next week, so wait and see about additional shock loss. (Pictures posted today on weblog.) Thank again.
  11. TheHairLossCure, I had my procedure November 10. So I have experienced most if not all shock loss? For some reason, I was thinking that it could happen months after the procedure.
  12. Thanks eman and also Bill for adding the signature link. TonySC The donor area looks fine. Dr. Bernstein suggested a haircut I think around three weeks prior to the procedure to cover the 'cut' and so far, so good---both back and side. Others on this site have suggested putting something over the areas to help cover. I wanted to wait at least four weeks before doing that. I don't appear to have significant shock loss (at least at this point). Not really sure how long I need to be concerned about that, though. My advice from recent personal experience is don't worry about it. Even is they notice something, I don't think they will have a clue.
  13. This looks great. Thanks for sharing and congratulations.
  14. Again, thanks to everyone for their feedback. Been back to work since Monday and no one has said a word. I did get a couple of odd stares but have no clue what they were thinking. I guess, in the scheme of things, if the results turn out as expected, going back to work with some coloring was not big deal. Like some of you said, I think I was worrying too much. On Monday and Tuesday, I met with individuals at work. Today was more challenging. There was a larger meeting and I ended up presenting to the group. I actually felt quite confident with my appearance. Although there is some coloring that remains, I like the hairs that have not fallen out yet and that seem to give me more confidence. I have a blog (new2site) which I will update as soon as I get batteries for the camera. Boy, those batteries don't last long. Thanks, again, to everyone. I appreciate all of the comments.
  15. TheHairLossCure, Thanks for the tip. I appreciate it.
  16. GraftCyte Post-Surgical Shampoo with sponge and light water from shower. 4 showers day after and then 2 showers. You can PM for additional details, if you would like.

  19. Shaving depends on the doctor---some do and some don't. May also depend on the extent of the HT. I would say no to number 2. I am going back after three weeks and could easily use another week. Amount of time also depends on the extent of the procedure and how quickly you heal. You may want to do a search on the topic.
  20. Thanks everyone for the feedback. I appreciate all of it. As an update, seeing less color and more transplanted hairs are falling out, all of which help. I went out to lunch with a friend on Wednesday and was very comfortable with taking my hat off. No unusual stares which I would have noticed. Of course, and I understand, that is much different than work environment. About the concealers, I wanted to wait at least four weeks before using any concealer. I read somewhere you should wait four weeks to color hair so I am thinking (maybe incorrectly) four weeks would be the time frame for concealer. Thanks, again, and I will keep you posted. Anyone have good advice on what to put on a bad sunburn (just kidding).
  21. Looking good k-buddy. I am very happy for you! Like you said, I think we generally are too critical when it comes to ourselves. Congratulations. (Soon, you can sell all of your hats on ebay!)
  22. Petro_P, Best of luck with your procedure. I have found that eman's advice is always good. One additional comment, particularly since you are very private (I can relate since I am the same): If you have to go back to work after the procedure (particularly without a hat) think about how much time you want to take off before going back. I took a conservative approach with my procedure and have some native hair to help cover and took three weeks off. I should be ok but would have taken four weeks if I could have got it approved. If you have other specific questions, let us know.
