  1. Although I agree about not wanting to frighten people, they should know what a strip removed looks like before they commit themselves to it.
  2. Ahhh this thread is telling my story! I have a low hairline and a wide scar, so far I'm hanging onto the rest of my hair maybe with the help of fin, maybe through luck, but I do fear for the future.
  3. They wouldn't do it for good reason, Dr's are people just like everyone else and they get tired. Best not to rush into getting it all done in one go and take your time for the best result.
  4. Don't do it, even if it's common it really shouldn't be. You should keep your options open and research more than one clinic and have multiple meetings, this is for the rest of your life, take your time to get it right now.
  5. No, that's not 3000 grafts, care to share who did this, as mentioned above the placement doesn't look right. Doesn't mean it won't look natural when grown out though.
  6. From personal experience I have had high yeild but terrible results from strip, ie: bad angles, bad scar, some pitting and bad looking grafts from strip, yet they seemed to all grow, although it would of been better if they hadn't grown. My fue experience equates to not noticiable scarring, although I have white dots, but the yeild is much lower. All things being considered with hindsight I would still have fue as you can still shave it off to a certain extent, like scar5 said, you can still 'get out', but with a strip scar, you are commited. I just hope I don't lose anymore hair so don't have to deal with shaving down in the future.
  7. 1200 should make a lot of difference and tbh I had trouble telling what was before and what was after, I don't think 200 grafts will help this person to be happy, people aren't after subtle improvements, do you have any placement pictures?
  8. He's awesome I would trust my head in his hands.
  9. The area is irrelevant, the hair on the sides of your head is much more resistant to DHT than the hair on top of your head, blood supply etc have no bearing on this at all. The hair on the sides is genetically different. People who do these mega sessions to their hairlines still continue to lose hair behind it, and if they don't chase the hairloss with more surgeries then they will be left with an island of hair at the front of their heads.
  10. Well, some people who haven't had any HT work look like they have had fue when shaved down, so with good fue you would probably be ok for shaving down, but with 99.9% of strip you won't be able to shave really really short. If you want to shave your head, just do that and don't get an HT, I have been shaved down, I have fue scarring that shows and a strip scar that shows, so I can't shave down.
  11. Avoid anywhere charging per hair, that's a bit of a con really. I wouldn't go to the Wimpole Clinic either, Farjo are good though.
  12. Agreed, doubtful that you lost a graft at 15 days post op. On my first surgery (which was a terrible botch) I had the same thing, like a really big zit, I popped it and the usual stuff came out with a hair aswell, but the bloody things still grew and I didn't notice any gaps, would of been better if they hadn't grown tbh!
  13. The 'cure' has been 5 years away for 20 years, don't hold your breath.
  14. You didn't lose any grafts, especially at 2 weeks post op, nothing to worry about.
  15. Cracking result, I had a similar amount of fue to my already grafted hairline and mine looks nowhere near as dense and nowhere near as natural.
  16. Don't get an HT. You are too young like everyone is saying, if you are at this level of loss at 22 then it's likely you will lose all of it. If you get an HT now, you will eventually be left with an island of nonsense hair and that won't be a good look. I was 22 when I had my first HT and it's my biggest regret of my life, and I had loads of hair when I did it. Try and stabilize your loss, hit the gym and sit back and see what happens, no one else cares about your hairloss except for you, if you see a bald man walking down the street you don't bat an eyelid, but if you see someone with an obvious HT you stare. You have nothing to lose by waiting.
  17. Congrats, looking forward to seeing the pictures!
  18. Looking forward to seeing your progress, this should set you right!
  19. Yeah I agree with that, but he still has amazing yield, I'm sure the patient could request a more broken up hairline.
  20. great result, nice to see some good repairs being done somewhere.
