  1. I found this on another forum.....$3.75/graft for all session sizes.......LMAO
  2. Wow, I go away for a couple of days & miss all the fun. Grace, if you truly do have a Cornell education, then you sure don't act like it, & your writing skills would seem to indicate otherwise. Your responses do not do the reputation of the school or Bosley any favors. As I stated, your ignorance, especially regarding the FDA approval of products is clear. Regarding the copper peptide, as I stated, it may be beneficial for some, but for me, it was a waste of money. Maybe some more technical information will convince my hair that it should have helped it. I sure hope I can understand all of the big words & technical information that you throw around. If you truly do have a public relations degree, you're doing a mighty poor job of showing it. I realize that you being a 30 year old with all of that experience probably have way too much insight into the world of business & Hair transplants, and I don't know why I would even think that I or anybody else could tell you anything. It's clear that you know it all.
  3. NN, 13,000? WOW! So if he did 2 per day/every day, no vacation or time off, that means he has been doing this for nearly 18 years non-stop. He's gotta be tired.
  4. Grace, Your ignorance is showing. Fact: Very few people get paid to post here, and those that do nearly always identify their affiliation with their respective doc/company. Fact: If the doc is good, the folks on this site will be the first to say so. Fact: While Bosley may have some good docs, the facts are that they have also had/have many bad ones based upon the various lawsuits. Fact: If you're going to claim that your docs can produce results similar to the docs listed in this site, prove it by providing mega-session photos [not blurry or manipulated photos] for before, after, 1 year, etc. Fact: The bad stigma about Bosley is deserved. Your defensive position in your post just further shows the Bosley way. Are you concerned that PowerRanger might actually do some research & realize that he may not get what you've promised? Or worse yet, that he may end up in litigation with Bosley like others before him? Fact: Laser therapy is a rip-off that benefits only the seller. Just because the FDA approved it's use doesn't mean it has any benefit. Do you have any "scientific" proof that it works? Since nobody else does, it would be an incredible thing for Bosley to have some proof. Fact: Copper peptide may be beneficial for some, but I used it for my first procedure after paying a pretty penny & noticed NO difference vs. the HT when I did not use it. Bottom line, I considered it a waste of money. Fact: If you really had PowerRanger's best interest at heart, you would refund his deposit if he got cold feet, especially if he didn't meet with his proposed doctor. By the way, exactly what is your age, position, training, education, & experience? Which docs have you trained with/worked with?
  5. PowerRanger, I had my first HT with a RI doctor. I used the copper-peptide solution with my first HT & didn't use it with my second. I noticed no difference. I also was given 4 free "Laser" treatments after my first HT, but I thought it was a sham, since there is no scientific evidence that it actually does anything for your hair. It seemed to me to only be a way to take your money if you elected to continue the treatment. Do some research & decide for yourself. The reason I went to Dr. Wong was because I wanted to have my 2nd procedure done by one of the best docs, so I didn't give the travel a 2nd thought. Remember the basic rule of sales.....when you're being pressured to do something right away, that's when you should NOT do it. Take your time and do your research. Go to other Hair sites on the web and you'll see the same comments regarding the good docs & the bad docs/hair mills. I personally would run away from Bosley as quickly as possible, but in the end, you'll have to make your own decision. Good luck.
  6. PowerRanger, The doc I went to was Dr. Wong of Hasson & Wong. Prior to that, I had an online consult with them via some pics that I sent them via email, & I "dialed in" what I was hoping to achieve when I visited with Dr. Wong the day before the procedure. Dr. Wong & his staff were top notch, & I'm actually getting pretty good growth starting just 3 months after the procedure[i should post some pics but I've been a little busy with home projects]. Get as much info as you can so you can make an educated decision.
  7. Aquarius, You're making me crave some parmagiana.....lol PowerRanger, at the very least, you should get some online consults with the coalition docs to hear what they have to say. As far as the travel goes, it's cheap money compared to what's at stake. A lot of the docs will reimburse you for some of the airfare & will cover the room, depending on the number of grafts that you receive. I personally flew to Vancouver from the east coast for my 2nd HT, & wish I had found this site before my first one. While you may have fewer docs to chose from if you pick a coalition doc, it beats the alternative. You can pay them to do the initial work, or you can pay them to do the repair work.
  8. PowerRanger, You can get a less expensive/much better HT with one of the recommended surgeons---you most likely will NOT get a quality job from one of the hair mills, and they may even end up making you look worse. Remember, word of mouth should always be worth more than a piece of paper or some bogus "award" that may be shown to you. Do yourself a favor & listen to the folks here. Most have been in your shoes & are trying to save you from making a rash decision that you may soon regret. Good luck.
  9. Artman, If you wait a little bit you'll probably be able to find plenty of the laser equipment at yard sales right next to the head vacuum helmets.
  10. rob2, I just switched from Propecia to Proscar about a month ago, & haven't noticed any side effects yet.
  11. I use the Nizoral 1% a couple of times a week & find that it seems to keep my scalp pretty clean, & it seems to make it cleaner than any of the other shampoos I have tried, including the H&S. Any positive effects it may have on my hair loss is a bonus. I also use the quartered Proscar daily in lieu of the Propecia. I just can't seem to get motivated to use the minoxodil though.
  12. Damn shame what they did to him. Count me in for what ever help I can give.
  13. nobuzz.....LOL pushing40.....so you admit that it IS useful for something...... Jalter, Pete,..........if you want to throw your money away on a product that has no scientific basis, you may want to invest in pushing 40's new flex mobile. Just keep giving him money & he'll probably have a demo model ready in 6 months or so...... The laser technology is "snake-oil" until proven otherwise. The only folks really happy with the results are those who sell the product or service.

    AHS

Open, I think they meant the "hand-by-hand" system where they reach into your pocket & extract your money. You'd be wise to do some research on AHS in this & in other forums before you give them a dime or sign anything. There are a lot of better options available than the dead cat on the head. Good luck.
  15. All that's missing from David3's post is how they supplement their over-the-moon results with the laser light show!
  16. MWRM3, Do yourself a favor, listen to the folks who have provided you the names of the docs that you should consult with. They can help you a great deal if you're willing to listen. Talk with some of the docs recommended by this site before you overpay for less than desirable results. If you go to the other forums, you will see certain docs names continually pop up with favorable comments, & other places [MHR, Bosley to name a couple] with associated horror stories. There's obviously a reason for this. Going to MHR or Bosley is like going to the casino. You hope to win, but be prepared to lose.
  17. Bill, Good pics. Enjoy it. Just watch out if you get near those rowdy Eagles fans!
  18. Pat, Great follow up. I would tend to agree with B spot regarding some updating on the docs that you don't hear much about. I personally relied on information gathered from this site before my 2nd procedure, & it would make sense to make sure the recommended docs were still worthy of being recommended.
  19. mpd, Do you have any before/after pics? Are you on any meds? Who was the doc? Were the grafts spread out or dense packed?
