  1. Dr Limmer, Based upon what you've said, am I correct in assuming that you don't charge additional for grafts that are implanted during the procedure that exceed the estimated graft count? When you do split grafts for whatever reason, is it also correct to assume that this does not inflate the overall graft count provided? While I can understand your desire to limit the width of the donor strip, I personally don't agree with the presumption that this causes more pain [i've had 2 procedures with different widths & the difference in pain was not noticeable----pain is pain], nor do I agree with the risk of a wider scar if the closure is performed correctly. Thanks for your response, as it's always an education to understand the doc's thinking. Are the 25 cent words like "epsilon" also free?
  2. Bleach, It is explained in one of the drop down options for the "recommended physicians"
  3. NN, I had my first one in August 2006 & the next the following April. Was more concerned about what I wanted done & really didn't give a lot of thought about the season. My thinking was ASAP!
  4. Bill, Looks good. Sounds like you've got a touch of that hair greed thing going on!
  5. Nick, I live in RI but went to Hasson & Wong in Vancouver [with the travel reimbursement provided by H&W for the flight, it only cost a couple of hundred dollars for the flight, & they paid for the hotel for 2 nights]. Don't let distance determine who you have your procedure with. Do your research & pick a doc, not a location. Travel cost is cheap money compared to what's at stake.
  6. Dave, Are you a politician? You're dodging the questions like a pro. Who did your work? Why do you mention Bosley Boston? Why only 70 grafts? Do you have any photos? How do you know you only got 15-25 vs. 70? Last but not least, where on your head/face did you get the transplant? pushing.....LMAO!
  7. Fin, Congrats. It sounds like Dr. Keene needs to modernize her office furniture a bit. Of course, if you get the results you're looking for, I'm guessing you won't mind one bit. Good luck.
  8. I love a good conspiracy theory. Mike, have you noticed if any of your window locks are not secured? Is your shredder in working order?
  9. Hairbank, Sorry to see you go. Best of luck with #3 & in all you do.
  10. Fin, I personally waited to hit the weights for about a month after my procedure. The reasoning was this: Why chance it after going thru so much effort/cost to have the HT? It wasn't like taking a month off would make that much of a difference.
  11. Slowly, I personally would not want 1 tech having to place all of my grafts. I don't care how good the tech is, I would think the tech would get tired after a while. That being said, good luck with your procedure & I hope it turns out well for you.
  12. Bill, I agree with you. I personally liked getting it over with in one day for a number of reasons. Less time away from home & less time in the chair are a couple of them. I guess everybody has to make the decision of what they are willing to accept vs. the end result.
  13. Aquarius, I was thinking the same thing. For a "Client relations Manager", this one doesn't seem to be managing very well. If anything, I have lost all respect for Advanced Hair Studio based upon what I've read from their manager. The word "arrogant" comes to mind, and the term "smoke & mirrors" also seems like a good fit. Pathetic.
  14. I gotta believe that the Chlorine/chemicals can't be good for the hair. I would think at the very least you'd want to wash your hair right afterwards to get rid of the chemicals.
  15. Mike, Is this a post to promote hair systems? I think I'm missing the point.
  16. Ask the opinion of the person you're seeing as to what might look good in a hairstyle. It seems most of us are more critical of our own appearance than others are, & sometimes we focus in on small details about ourself that others don't see/don't really care about. Good luck with whatever decision you make.
  17. I can see the deposit being required. I can also understand SOME percentage [even 50% or so] of the $$ being required prior to surgery. I CAN'T understand/don't agree with ALL of the money being required 2 weeks before you have the procedure. If you back out after paying the percentage prior to the HT, then you pay some penalty & the doc has your cash in which to obtain this penalty payment.
  18. finnari, This sounds a little strange.I agree with Bill. I could see the doc wanting a percentage of payment as you got closer to the procedure date, but certainly not the whole payment. Good luck with your procedure & keep us posted with some pics. I worked in the Chandler area for a few months, & used to fly into the Sky Harbor airport every week. Gotta love that "desert-scape" landscaping.
  19. Bill, I actually spent about six months working in the Conshohocken area, & actually living out of a motel right near the big mall. The mall down there is pretty impressive. Island girl, hope your hair came back.
  20. Chris, In case you haven't noticed, nobody is drinking your Kool-Aid. BTW, I saw the video clip of you folks trying to defend your "Therapy". It reminded me of the guy at the carnival trying to get you to play his game that you have no chance of winning.
  21. It probably DOES work for Akon.........making him money! It looks like they sell just about everything except the X-ray glasses!
  22. bverotti, How about the next time you go into the hospital for surgery you let the nurses perform the surgery with the doc being within 1 min walking distance? Some things are better left to the docs.
  23. If I make it to 90 I hope I'm able to drive a Vette!
  24. I would agree with Bill. IMO, FUE gives you less options in the future. I would think you could maximize your yield via strip, then use FUE as the finishing touch once your remaining donor supply was limited. Other than the scar, I do not see ANY advantage of going for FUE prior to strip.
