  1. mrkneed, Leonard did my first. Dr. Wong did my 2nd procedure about 6 months ago.
  2. Glock, I haven't put up any recent pics, but I'll have to take some & get them posted. My top is just starting to fill in, but the crown is somewhat lagging behind. I'm thinking that I may want have another one at some point to close in the temple areas a bit/add a little more to the crown. But I'm not gonna worry about it until after this one has a chance to develop. As far as Leonard goes, he was a nice guy but I don't understand why he doesn't give an approximate graft count. His spacing between grafts seems a bit much, as does the incision size.
  3. mrkneed, Don't let distance/travel determine who you use. I am from RI but went to Vancouver to get my 2nd procedure done. I used Leonard for my first before I found this site. Your best bet would be to utilize a coalition doc. Good luck.
  4. Gorpy, Maybe you could demonstrate this utilizing a melon.
  5. zerosum, I had a procedure with Dr Wong back in April and am happy with my early growth so far. The start of the crown pattern looks good, & I'm impatiently waiting for the growth. Have you sent your pics to H&W for an online consultation? The folks on this forum could certainly provide you with their opinions if you post your pics.
  6. Bill, This clown is advertising his sure-fire solution to hair loss. Perhaps the reason he got his skull to shrink is due to the removal of the brain matter. Skull expansion....what a jerk!
  7. stratman, I'm not sure what the magnitude of your deposit is, but if it's a large one, you may want to consider one of Armani's "other" docs. Additionally, if you're willing to go on short notice [i.e. take a cancelled slot], I believe they drop the price to $5/graft. If it's not a large deposit, I personally would go the strip route for a mega-session in lieu of FUE. I believe you can maximize your donor yield by utilizing strip to the extent possible before going to FUE. That's just my opinion, and you can do a search on this forum regarding this subject for some more info/opinions. Good luck!
  8. dakota3, The reason I recommended that you research the claims was to see if there have been similar cases filed against Bosley & to see what the verdict was. You may need to file a similar claim & it would help to know how the others turned out. I'm not sure on the statue of limitations for filing a HT procedure claim [perhaps B-spot would know this one]. That being said, it would make sense to first see a coalition doc for a consultation & get his opinion. Additionally, you should make sure that you are just not experiencing late growth. As far as getting your money back, you should document all of your requests formally with them if you decide to go that route. Hopefully, they'll return your cash if they didn't live up to their end of the deal. The folks on this forum could certainly give you some constructive feedback if you would post some pics for their review.
  9. dakota3, Sorry to hear about your lack of results. Did you post any before/after pics? Did Bosley take any pics on the day of your procedure? Hopefully you're just experiencing late growth. If you don't get the growth after 9 months-1 year, then I would request your money back from Bosley. I'm sure you could find out how many claims/cases they've had brought against them in the Mass/Boston area & view the results as well.
  10. dakota3, I would really doubt that your wearing a hat or going to the gym 10 days after your HT had much of an effect. As Bill noted, it would make sense to have the hat "loose fitting" & to try & limit the amount of time you have it on if possible. I wore a hat after my first procedure & it had no effect, unless I can blame the graft spacing and size of the incisions on the hat As far as the working out, you should probably limit the stress [i.e. heavy weights] due to potential scar issues [do a search in this forum on this subject], although I was running on the Elliptical machine after 2 weeks with no problem after both of my procedures. Who was your Bosley doc? Why weren't you happy with the results? Perhaps Grace who works for Bosley & has posted on this forum can shed some light as to why this Bosley doc didn't live up to expectations.
  11. Michael, I'd tell you that if you lost your MOJO to look for the guy without any hair, but around here, that could be any of us!
  12. Grace, If you truly mean to help, then posting pics of the work of the docs you consider to be as good as the coalition docs would be a start. Keep in mind, consistent performance/results is the key, so a few or even a dozen results is no way indicative of the results one could expect from any particular "good" doc, although it is certainly a good way to weed out the bad ones pretty quickly. I have had 2 procedures with 2 different docs. The first was a non-coalition doc who spewed all sorts of credentials, awards, etc. & did NOT do as good a job as I anticipated. These "credentials", awards, etc. were not from the folks who had procedures done. My second procedure was done by a coalition doc. It has only been 4 months since my procedure, so the jury is still out, although the early growth seems to be good & I am expecting to have good results based upon what I've seen so far & based upon his past results. His credentials I researched online in a number of different patient & HT forums, similar to this one. Bottom line....a HT is sort of like any product....you know what to expect from a coalition doc based upon previous performances/word of mouth;however,if the doc in question is an "unknown" quantity or the word of mouth of his place of business has been poor, then it's a crap shoot. Since the donor supply is limited, anybody taking a risk with an unknown doc after doing the research is being foolish. I'm looking forward to seeing the work of the Bosley docs that you mentioned.
  13. Bill, Have they come up with a generic wife yet? I can't afford mine anymore....
