I have been using propecia for about 3 weeks now. How long will it take to know if it is working? Also I went to a derm, because I have about 3 bald patches on the top of my scalp. He did a biospy and the results showed nothing except scaring. Anyone have any ideas what is going on, the derm first said he did not think the bald spots were mpb. I don't know anymore. Also were is the cheepest place to get propecia, the derm would not give me a rx for proscar. any help would be great, thanks

Hi, I went to the derm the other day, because I found 3 small bald spots on the top left side of my scalp. The spots were very red and inflamed. The derm gave me some foam and said to use it for a month, if there is not new hair in a month, he wanted to do a scalp biopsy. My question is what things is he looking for? What types of conditions could it be? I tryed to ask the derm, but he really did not give me an answer, he said the spot did not look like normal mpb. However I am thinning all over.
