TS, I had two sessions with Dr. Vogel of about 1600 grafts each and repair old style plug work. Like you I was impressed with his honesty and attention to detail. I just had my 2nd with him in January so I will no know how it will turn out but I am pleased with my first session from last year and the repair work made a big difference. Yes you smudge it on your head to regrow hair as its a great fertilizer and it doubles up as a concealer. , Just make sure you double up on the cologne!

NG, you are one funny bald/balding hop scotch playing mofo! I am sure that something like this happened to me but I retreated into my shell quickly so no further damage could be done to my fragile self-esteem.

It's going fast - I won't pile on here, but please, even it is free, do not go back to this doctor. If it was Gianatto, and you live near VA, I would check in with Dr. Vogel in Baltimore or Dr. Lindsey in Reston for some advice on any further work. The old saying is that you get what you pay for. Free sounds great but your result is for your lifetime. It is an investment and you only have so much donor hair to use. Hopefully you have enough donor for future, ultra refined work.

I actually did not know that Chuck Norris (martial artist) wore a piece. I saw him in some infomercial with Cristy Brinkley (still hot ) - He was wearing this fruity colored job, I thought he was just coloring his hair. I should have known it looked to thick to be real. If I ever got into a fight with him, my strategy would be to pull his toupee off and he would instantly lose all his strength. Course this would be done after he had kicked my ass first in like 3 seconds.

Good question, Plug etiquette, sounds sexy doesn't it NG? I think it depends how well you know this person and if you approach it with empathy, it may be the best news that guy ever heard. He may not know of the repair work that is available to him.

NN, Buzz that stuff down to a 1 guard - if you lose clients, and the girls stop teasing you and talk behind your back instead, then try another style. I like your messed up look. Even if the crown is a little thin. You could slick it straight back and that would cover the crown better. I like a look where thier is not a defined part, sort of a windblown look. Something easy, no hair products. Sort of a towel dry and go look. My goal is to be able to pull that one off! May have to keep it shorter for that.

Thanks for the comments: Bill, Not sure how many to the hairline 50-100, my laxity was fair, donor quality is probably below avg, I have maybe 2000 left in the donor bank for future if I decide. I may not want to thin the donor out too much and risk any scar visibility. Chucky: Are you planning a HT? I see you had 3 poor results in your signature. Any old plug work or just low yield?

NG, Its a very hard decision but with todays techniques and doctors skills, it will give you confidence when you decide. HT is really out of the dark ages in most places. Too bad there are things going on around the world that are destroying guys heads with plugs. You know Hasson and Wong turn out results that are top notch. I will disagree with you about the 12-18 month result. You will likely see a major improvement by 6 months, some docs claim it is Ok to go return for another round in 8 months. Yes you would improve further from months 8-12 or more, but remember some of that improvement is not huge growth, it may be the softening of the hairs and blending in. Meantimme, no one will know that you had a surgery. My point is he down time is only a few weeks IMO. Then you go back to looking like you were before, then in a few months you get a gradual change as the hairs grow in. Good point about boob jobs, not much down time. Quick result, and the boobs don't fall off and need to be redone like our hair! Just don't get a boob job before your HT. btw, I just put up some of my recent pics.

Dewayne, I think Dr Vogel, my doc may have done Dr. Cooley. I know they worked together at some point. Vogel was my Doc. William, I do have some more pics to put up as I just had round 2 wih Dr. Vogel, stay tuned!

Takes balls to buzz down and show the scar. It will improve in time, one month is nothing. Work on top looks blurry in the pics but from wha I can tell, you have planned it nicely, Good growing my friend!!
