I agree that we dont know all the facts: Was Pat respectful in calling him a poison? My guess was these two were disrespectful to each other in their pm's. I doubt it was just a one way street. I am sad hey could not come to an agreement and it seems Pat has dug in. NG, crazy posts and all had his heart in the right place and was helpful to newbies, he did his research. Even though he never had a HT, he educated himself on his forum and probably others like it. My big point is the disrespect shown towards veteraan posters who are non-paid and put in hours to contribute to the site, that is all. This is/was a patient based forum, shouldn't a perspective patient here from all sides before choosing the right surgeon for them? If they are to rely soley on advice from paid posters, mods or newbies are they really getting all the unbiased info?? JMO That is the big picture for me here, not just about one poster. One reason I took down my album is to also show that I am unbiased and unpaid, I am on the patients side always. I hope Bill and Pat understand this.

Pat, I have deleted my photo albums which detail my experiences with Doctor Vogel. I allowed him to link it off his website out of help to this community - I am not compensated by him in any way. You will have to let him know why the photos are gone and that he will have to remove the link off his website. I would consider reposting my story which if you and NG come to an agreement. I have my doubts about that but maybe you will see the impact of your heavy-handed approach. I am sure many other veteran posters will consider doing the same.

Pat since you chose to lock the thread on NG and give us an education, let me give you one. You have made a bad decision this one and I am not buying your reasoning. I have told Bill this and will tell you as well that your site will eventually end up with just Newbies, Mods, Paid Posters and Doctors posts. Veteran patient posters not needed. That means newbies will have to trust info from ONLY those who have a financial interest in their future HT's. Don't you want patients to get info from all sides and make their own decision? What about that dont you get?? Your last post on NG did not FULLY explain exactly why you banned him and frankly sounded like you were speaking to us like we are children. Maybe you've been hanging around Doctors too long, some of their arrogance is rubbing off on you. Bill, nothing personal with you, I like what this forum used to be, FUN and INFORMATIVE. Mike, I had 2 sessions with Dr James Vogel in Baltimore, both went well, I am awaiting resuls of rd 2.

Balody, with all due respect, why would be need to have an "experience" of some sort before being allowed back? Would you want him to have a bad experience (HT) because he did not ask enough questions prior? This guy is intelligent and just jokes to get guys minds off heir baldness and depression about it - good therapy IMO.

Pat, I totally agree with Richie and Flyby. So sorry you took his comments so personal, I think those of us who know NGs sense of humor take his and everyone else's posts with a grain of salt. Everyone has an opinion, hell, Jesse Venturi believes 9-11 was a US demolition hit job for example. Isn't that poison in the well? NG had like 1500 posts and most all were fun, good natured and informative to newbies. I think most here are intelligent enough to comb through and seperate the facts and the fun. You should reconsider and reinstate NG, he should be entitled to his opinion and I do not think stating his opinion that only 2-3 docs are worth going to are grounds for suspension,IMO. I thought this was a patient based forum. This all sounds too personal to me, too bad, this site used to be fun.

Well said NG, I for one care more about a patients scalp than any doctor's reputation. This patient feels bad enough as it is with the poor HT result (so far), and should he now feel guilty for damaging a reputation? I cerainly hope not.

TTDS, Good luck, I hope you get a spurt his month but I would be very concerned, you should document with hi res pics your progress. I really think 2500 grafts are a significant amount and should have made a real difference. Maybe it will in time.

Dr HM, While your grafts here look good, I think you will have an uphill battle convincing people microscope disection is not a safer method. Patients are really fearful of transection of even one graft. If microscopes help save grafts, they should be used. It still comes down to careful trimming by the techs, the unsung heroes of a quality HT.

NG - , I love your posts, keep up the spirit. You should write for Jay Leno man! Seriously, good idea for "repair only" section or even "scar only" section. Maybe latest articles from our Coalition Docs. Maybe Doctors only posts forum.

KevKristy is right, I do not think 2500 is a small session by any means. I had a 1625 session which made a very nice change. Doctors/patients who say wait longer than a year to see final results are only partially correct. A 9-12 months, you should have seen most of the growth come in and have some idea of what things will look like and wha kind of coverage you can expect. After that, hair may grow longer, become softer but most all of those grafts should have sprouted at least by 9-12. TTDS, your hair looks pretty thick on the sides, you should be a prety good candidate and get good results, I would not go back for round 2 until you see this final result from round 1. Keep us posted.

Good call, you were somewhat lucky that he admitted to this. I makes you wonder how many docs are still in the dark ages around he world.

EMV, NG2GB was trying to be helpful and "lighten" he situation. Once you get to know him you will understand. Your panic mode will just cause more stress and further hairloss, chill out and enjoy college, you are too young for a HT to begin with. The only thing you should even consider is finasteride and minox right now if you feel your hair is thinning.

Since you are already scheduled, I guess advising you to wait wont change your mind. I assume your age is over 25? On meds? If younger, I would wait and get on the meds. You really do not look too bad - yet. I would be concerned about dense packing where you have existing hair. You may lose or shock those native hairs out faster. That said, you are in good hands and I trust Dr Hasson knows all the risks in your case. Just plan for the long term.

Hey PCC, long time, hope you are well. Ed Harris wore a nice looking piece in Apollo 13 (Tom Hanks starred). He had a buzz cut hairpiece and it did look quite good. We have to remember they have beauticians on set to make them look perfect, who has the time or money?

Dewayne, As a repair paient myself, I am very happy for you. Dr. Vogel did mine in two sessions and he worked with or trained Dr. Cooley. Hopefully you will have no more of those extra glances up at the hairline when you are talking to someone! Heal well! I see he did not stitch the old sites, that is good, they will heal up real good in about 2 weeks.

DeWayne, No ice on the grafted areas! Most of the swelling is due to the fluid from the injections being pulled down your face due to gravity. The more hailine, temple work you have, the more likely you will swell in the face area. If you had say only crown work, you would probably not swell in the face the same way.

I would steer clear of this place if it is run by Dr. Gianatto.
