  1. Never had a problem with it. I think that problems with it are overblown. JMO
  2. I have never had a problem and have been on it 2 years. This problem is way over blown IMO.
  3. Ms Albaaaaaaaaa! Would you go bald for her??
  4. Bill, Please move this to the "Guys who stay up all night with blow up dolls and nothing to do" posts section.
  5. I agree with Hairthere. Even though your pattern looks like your headinng nw6, your sides look prety good. Nw7 those sides drop and your sort of in a bad place then. A good doctor may be able o tell if you are having recession or minirazation of hairs there as well. Also, very important! Go with a conservative hairline! You will have limied donor and you will want to fill the midscalp with some density and the crown if possible, that will look more natural than a low hairline and a big bald spot behind it. You have limied donor, use it wisely! Good luck,
  6. My teenage kids told me I have a "summer sweater". Now I know what they were talking about. NG2GB - I think it is somewhat true, more prominent for balding guys to have more body hair and thicker beards. Hope for BHT right?
  7. HAHAHA, That is too funny! I agree B-Spot will have to wait for the HT thug edition.
  8. Gizmo, Ah, more for you to worry about! How is your donor feeling, any better?? I think Joe is referring to the old scarring being removed during the strip taken from Dr. Wong. Scar tissue is of course not going o have the nerve regrowh if it is too wide. A good thin scar and closure will heal better and your scalp will feel quite normal. Since you had a great doc, I am sure you will feel fine in a few months back there.
  9. Dr. Lindsey, That is too bad about that patient, golf is addictive you know. Nothing to lose your face over though! Good advice, for God's sake guys, take it easy after a HT for 2 weeks at least!! You have invested a lot of $$$!! Take care of it!
  10. You are safe with either surgeon, GL. Curious, what are the cost differences if any? Where do you live?
  11. Bill, I agree, no bedroom golf, and shouldn't that be the first priority over real golf????
  12. I would not chance it, you have a big investment to take care of. You may want to use the search function as I am sure there is more info on this issue.
  13. Great story! A must read for all newbies and what the experience is really like. It is not like "a trip to the dentist", like some places advertise, you are in the chair a long time, to me it is he worst part. The injections are not too bad, that swelling stage a few days after are tough to look at but it is no painful. The donor healing takes time as well. I always recommend a least a week off from work minimum for the procedure.
  14. CCCman, Yeah, watch out for NG2GB, he might want to take you on the golf course and inspect your club's Nice video, maybe I missed your date of surgery, are you grown out now? Joes hair looks great doesn't it?
  15. I agree with Thanatop, Tha area will be tender fo several weeks, I'd be careful. Dewayne, If you shaved it all down, your strip scar will show and look like you just go back from brain surgery. I never had the recipient area shaved in my HTs (many docs don't require it) and was able to look normal 10-14 days post, and keep the scar covered with hair in the back araound 1/2 to 3/4 inch. Good luck next month!
  16. I only play at the top private courses, I hear the public ones have a lot of hazards and your clubs get dirty. Either way, they cost a lot of $$$$ to play!
  17. What the hell happened here, looks like a war zone. Just a big misunderstanding from two guys that I can't understand. RIP AQ
  18. NG2GB, Are you giving golf advice now too?? Have you ever played? Here are some rules for you since I know you are a hacker: The Rules of Bedroom Golf: Each player shall furnish his own equipment for play, normally one club and two balls. Play on course must be approved by the owner of the hole. Unlike outdoor golf, the object is to get the club in the hole and keep the balls out. For most effective play, the club should have a firm shaft. Course owners are permitted to check shaft stiffness before play begins. Course owners reserve the right to restrict club length to avoid damage to the hole. Object of the game is to take as many strokes as necessary until the owner is satisfied play is complete. Failure to do so may result in being denied permission to play again. It is considered bad form to begin playing the hole immediately upon arrival. Experienced players will normally take time to admire the entire course, paying special attention to well formed mounds and bunkers. Players are cautioned not to mention other courses they have played or are currently playing to the owner of the course being played. Upset owners have been known to damage a players equipment for this reason. Players are encouraged to have proper rain gear, just in case. Players should not assume that the course is in shape to play at all times. Players may be embarrassed if they find the course temporarily under repair. Players are advised to be extremely tactful in this situation. More advanced players will find alternate means of play when this is the case. Players should assume their match has been properly scheduled particularly when playing a new course for the 1st time. Previous players have been known to become irate if they discover someone else is playing what they considered a private course. The owner of the course is responsible for the pruning of any bushes, which may reduce the visibility of the hole. Players are strongly advised to get the owners permission before attempting to play the backside. Slow play is encouraged, however, players should be prepared to proceed at a quicker pace at the owners request. It is considered an outstanding performance, time permitting, to play the same hole several times in one match.
  19. JoDirt, Well, I suppose on playstation, lol. No way! I am a golfer too and your swing will stretch your neck area. You have to let that heal at least two weeks. While many think golf is relaxing and not too stressful, you know when you crank up that driver things stretch quite a bit. Trust me, you will not want to do anything he day after other than sit up and watch tv. GL wih your surgery!
  20. Bill, I am glad you and Pat have decided to lift this rule, we all can benefit from the experienced posters I listed who have clinic affiliation. I trust those paid posters will not take advantage of this and will not partake in Doctor bashing (let us unpaid guys do that, lol). You have a big responsibilty and we appreciate your position. Lets keep it fun and informative and move on to helping patients.
  21. I didn't see the snake oil ad?? Did you? LOL.
