  1. KJ777 check out my hair blog. i live in san jose and got mine done in los gatos. any questions, feel free to email me.
  2. I guess I am guilty of falling off the board after my first and probably last HT. I am extremely happy with the results. Friends have told me that my ego went from slum to snob. =( guess things like that happens when you feel good about yourself. though i dont check the board often, i do answer emails from people who have questions or concerns about the doctor i went to. plus with this board, you will never have a question unanswered. this board is full of people who will help anyone-newbie, oldies, botched ht. So although i dont post much anymore, i do owe my whole HT experience to everyone who helped me in my journey and for that I am forever thankful for this community.
  3. Yeah 5months is way to early to tell. I'm at close to 2 months and my interior hairs are sprouting like crazy but my hairline is very slow. there are some hair on the hairline but no significant enough to establish themselves as my new hairline. But hey its only been 2months, i think im on an excellent pace. J-man, dont worry dude, it takes time buddy.
  4. Scooby this is what my doctor did to remove my scabs..wash your hair, soak shampoo on your graft area for 5 minutes. rinse the shampoo off, bloat dry, while the scabs is still bit wet, use a qtip and gently roll the scabs over, they will come off cleanly like wallpaper. put a lil bit pressure if you need to. thats how my doctor tech got all the scabs off.
  5. I have been using Nioxin care system for a few day, and I like it. It relief the itch and the leave on foam makes my hair look fuller.
  6. frontal hairloss, i dont think there's any cure for that, you can try to prolong the inevitable fate, but in the end, its either HT or shave your head. Wilson is probably a distributor for whatever crap he is trying to sell.
  7. I live the bay area. I went with Dr.Diep in Los Gatos. See my result on my webblog here on this forum. He understudy with Rassman and overall a great DR with a terrific staff. If you guys want to meet up, talk and view my HT, thats not a problem with me. We are here to help one another. Just to let you know, my grafts are falling, thank god, and new hair are poking thru-WOOOHOOOO!!
  8. Schedule an appt with a HT doctor, not MHR or Bosley, and the doctor can tell you how's your density and how wide and long the strip is, and all your questions.
  9. repo-i went to Dr. Diep in Los Gatos, CA.
  10. Here's a trick that one of the technican used when i went to my doctor at 10 day post ops to remove scabs, wet the graft area, gently, soak the grafts with shampoo for about 5 mintues, rinse your head. pat dry your head, but keep your graft area a bit wet. using q-tip, slowly roll with gentle pressure, the qtip from right to left or left to right, the qtip will scrap the scabs off but wont hurt the grafts. She did this method and man was I impressed. All my scabs were gone and the pictures that I posted at 10 day post ops was immediately followed by what she did-AMAZING!! I'm glad my doctor is only 10 minutes away from my house
  11. i agree.. >2000 will give you great looking frontal hairline which compliment your full back hair.
  12. Chucky If a new doctor is on the scene, you can ask about his background and research with his mentor doctor to question about his works. I went with a new doctor but i fired off tons of questions to him about hair which i got from this forum, and based on that I knew he was very knowledgeable in hair transplant. also regarding techs, some techs work as contractors, because the money is a lot better being a contractor than stationing at one clinic. One of the tech that helped with my HT is a contractor for two very prominent coalition doctors on this forum. I'm a contractor too inthe high tech field and make more money than full time employee in a company, just i get no benefits. =(
  13. Sun, MPB is in the gene my friend. I hang out with friends who smoke for over 15+ years and still have great set of hairs, even my brother is a long time smoker and still have great hair. Rogaine and propecia will help with the vertex but not the frontal. Those herbal treatment-eastern medicine or western medicine do not work, i have tried. I too am asian, you can check out my HT surgery on my web blog.
  14. Im going to start on proscar also, just incase my top and or crown wants to thin. thanks Rambler.
