  1. Let me save you some time and money: I would actually turn you away as a client based on these pictures. I think that this type of hairloss is most evident depending on the lighting, and pictures always make it look worse. In real life I bet most of the time it's hardly noticeable (except to yourself because you're hyperconscious of it). Stop taking these overhead selfies (iPhone cameras always bump up contrast making thinning appear worse) and use some thickening products like Melvin suggested. Best of luck!
  2. Thanks for looking! Call or text 201-482-4529 for FREE consultation.
  3. Ok makes sense. If you want post some pictures and I can evaluate or feel free to text them to me 201-482-4529. I don’t feel everyone is a suitable candidate for thickening SMP and often turn people away. Also I’d be wary of any SMP clinic that readily accepts you as a client without making sure you’re a qualified candidate (unfortunately there are plenty that would.)
  4. "right now another transplant would be "an ideal situation for bad shock loss." So SMP it is. A little confused here, if Dr. Bloxham said another transplant would be ideal why aren't you getting another transplant?
  5. 5 months is very early in the growth timeline. Grafts don't start popping until month 2-4. You have 7 months left to see the finished product. Also you might want to post a before surgery picture as well as surgical info graft count etc. to get more informed responses.
  6. High Norwood hairline restored. Happy holidays to all!!!!
  7. I do not recommend SMP for long hair thickening clients with potential for future hair loss. Also your hair color would make it difficult.
  8. It's all about creating the illusion of density. So proper positioning and layering of the grafts is very important and that's why you need to go with a top surgeon. Also, with the crown you can get away with using larger grafts unlike the hairline that requires single FUs to be natural.
  9. I went through this in 2005 with Joseph Karamikian in NYC. I had no problem naming him and warning others on this very forum as soon as I found out he botched me. I took him to small claims court but he never showed up (only his lawyer on retainer). After going to court 4 times I dropped the case realizing the best I could do was expose him for the terrible work he did.
  10. As others have suggested you must see a dermatologist for this to get it properly diagnosed. If it is alopecia areata the doctor will likely suggest steroid injections to regrow the hair. If this was caused by the straightening treatment I would think you'd see some hair regrowing by now. I also don't think the process would have removed hair in a tight circle like that. In the meantime if it really bothers you perhaps try some topical concealers (hair fibers or Dermatch) but please do so with your doctor's knowledge.
  11. Love the hairline design and the extractions are how it should be done. I cannot tell you how many FUE patients I'm having to help conceal scars with SMP because the extractions are grouped too tightly together forming a defined shape. Concerning going for more grafts, I wouldn't....I think if you pack too much in the front it won't look as natural. You also are better off keeping more in the bank for other zones. From my experience there will be continued maturing of the grafts up to 12 months and you may even see changes up to 18 months.
  12. I wouldn't say soon as they have more training to do. I'm sure they will make an announcement when the time comes.
  13. Yes wasn’t really sure what your donor situation was which I was I said between 150-300. In that short-hair side profile picture it does look thinned out but the others it looks healthy.
  14. Awesome result! I actually just met Dr. Bansal as she came to Ahead Ink for some Scalp Micropigmentation training. She also did a consult and was pleasantly surprised she felt I had 1k grafts available for some crown work.
  15. First you comprise a list of the top surgeons who provide reliable FUE and whose work you like and feel confident in. Once you have a list of equally competent doctors you then whittle the list down based on price, location, etc. If you can't afford them you wait, save up more money and get the surgery when it's feasible. Best of luck!
  16. I just had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Arika Bansal and giving her some training in SMP. Very impressed with her knowledge and expertise. You're in good hands. Also I have a client who went to her and his results looked great!
  17. I think for each section you're looking at 150-300 grafts approximately. The type of graft (ones, twos, threes) will effect the total number. That top section will likely be double the amount 500-600. Keep in mind pictures always make the hair loss appear worse. I bet to the naked eye some of this thinning isn't as noticeable. At any rate, the hair looks great.....enjoy! P.S. Ultimately you should listen to what your HT surgeon advises in terms of graft count as he or she is not only helping with your current situation but also managing your donor for the future. I know it's difficult, but don't succumb to hair greed.
  18. Sorry don't know of anyone in Vegas I can recommend...
  19. Astute observation! Yes this is a young client (19 years old) and his existing hairline was still quite strong. I did advise him that he would need to be diligent in shaving otherwise the blend would not work as well. Thanks again!
  20. Hi All, I hope everyone has been having a great summer! Here are some recent results of various client types from the past few months. Thanks for looking!
  21. When you said depression and suicidal thoughts, I wasn't sure what to expect here. Just watched the video. Didu your hair looks incredible! Forget the SMP it won't do much for you.
