  1. Thank you! Yes I often advise clients to maintain some type of facial hair to give balance and a frame.
  2. This client had two FUE surgeries and lacked density in the mid and crown sections. We treated him with 3 sessions of SMP.
  3. I don't think the massive scarring was worth it for the client. Also we could have achieved a 3D effect just with SMP.
  4. This client had two strip surgeries plus an FUE surgery. He was not pleased with the donor scarring, the lack of density, and the shape of his hairline. After attempting a thickening effect scalp micropigmentation procedure he decided to just shave it all off. We then performed a full head SMP procedure to conceal his donor scars, plus we gave him full density and made the hairline shape softer and more aesthetic and gave him temple points. Ahead Ink is located in Fort Lee, New Jersey and we offer free consultations. Text or call us to schedule (201) 482-4529
  5. FUE repair typically requires two sessions, however the second is more of a check up and fine tuning session. It's not just Turkish clinics. I'm actually seeing just as many, and even worse, FUE patterns done here in the USA. In fact, this client had his FUE done in New Jersey.
  6. Thanks NN! Benni, Yes the dots breakdown and fade out of the system. The client has the option to let it fade out completely or touch up. No blobs.
  7. I would advise you need to wait until the hair transplant is fully healed and matured (12 months) before considering SMP. But if you're on the HT journey I would just stay the course and not consider SMP until you've exhausted your donor.
  8. Thank you. please text 201-482-4529 or email info@aheadink.com You can text or email me pictures for an assessment, course of treatment and exact price quote. I do usually require shaving donor zone with a zero guard for FUE concealment.
  9. Bumps at every recipient site sounds like you might be prone to keloid scarring. This isn't the doctor's fault so proceed cautiously with further surgery no matter who you go to.
  10. You can avoid by using a top surgeon. The doctors recommend on this site are a good start as they have all been vetted for you. Results like this basically come down to “doctors” looking to cut corners and extract grafts quickly. This saves them time and time equals money, right? FUE is a painstaking and meticulous method. It requires patience, care and the punch sizes need to be as small as possible. None of the three were exercised with this particular client.
  11. Thank you Big Rome! But while this is another stream of revenue for me I'd rather not have it. There's absolutely no reason for guys to be getting this type of sloppy extraction work done.
  12. Check the SMP section of this forum to see a recent result I posted of a FUE scarring repair client. Unfortunately this type of FUE work has become commonplace and it's mostly being done by robotic extraction. Dr Feller let me observe him doing manual FUE surgery 10 years ago and I remember him telling me how meticulous and careful you needed to be with those grafts. I don't think most of the "doctors" performing this surgery now are worried about being meticulous. Time is money, and sadly that's become very obvious in the hair transplant industry.
  13. Unfortunately this is the type of FUE donor scarring that's becoming acceptable and too commonplace. I'm seeing many guys coming in with these types of concentrated FUE patterns. Many are from clinics in Turkey but several, this example included, were done in the US. The majority are also being done with robotic FUE. The client is pictured one week post 2nd session of SMP.
  14. I think this is an example of a nice, subtle result. The work is very refined. Well done Dr. Arocha. Steve, That's an incredible result!
  15. It looks good. My only concern would be the areas around the HT work are already looking thinned. Just stay on the finasteride but it does look like another procedure will be in your future.
  16. Shockloss usually takes out existing hairs that are on their way out from DHT. If you're on Finasteride it's blocking the DHT so should be good.
  17. That’s good to hear. You should have a stellar result. Good growing to you!
  18. I'd add Dr. Jerry Cooley but at this point I wouldn't really even be thinking another surgery. Try to put some faith in Dr. Paul (who I never heard of but recently saw his work in person at my SMP clinic and thought it was quite good). Good growing to you!
