yep you are balding and grade is between norwood 2 and norwood 3. you have very good density behind hairline so good that you found it early. take meds and see the progress for a year and then you can HT if needed. there is chance of regrowth if baldness detected early and meds taken so you might not need a HT.

Dr. Pittella - 11. 232 grafts - 45 years old
duckling replied to Diomar de Oliveira Sales's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
looking really good, brace for shedding phase. i really love the pattern of implantation he does. -
it definitely looks better than before. Its not filled in completely yes but its going to take more time. for frontal and mid area itself people wait 1 year and for crown its more months of wait. keep updating your progress pics.
-
the front profile looks good. the right side profile looks better than left and more dense currently. (mostly because it is the side you are combing towards). but this should hopefully improve more in coming months. good growth so far at 7 month mark.

4120 FUE Dr laorwong absolute hair Thailand
duckling replied to Jamos1982's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
looks amazing in sunlight at 4 months.. you are a early grower -
if you dont have afro hair then pick any, else pick bisanga. pinto is the more cost effective option. if its about hairline i would have gone de freitas but pinto and ferreira also great in same price.

Best hair transplant doctors in Turkey?
duckling replied to Sickog's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
that depends on your hair type actually and also norwood grade. It is surely not necessary to pick them like this but it falls more in those surgeon's comfort zone when working on you. they do give great results on all hair type nowadays and are trying to work more on higher norwood with 2-3 part approach. coming to hair type: freitas, ferrerira and pinto work more on portugese and spanish people who have thicker, darker , Coarser and naturally slightly curly hair mostly . laorwong more on asians who have dark, thick and wavy/straight hair mostly. pekiner and other turkish doctors/clinics have more experience with european hair type who have straight, finer , light coloured hair . now coming to norwood grade: for higher norwood(6,7) you go to pittella, zarev, eugenix. for lower norwood: just pick any of the ones on recommended list based on budget. (except hairline specific cases, then be picky) and list goes on. you have to see which surgeon works on your hair type more and also your norwood grade more . Then among that list check which surgeon's hairline design you like more. (they more often that not repeat the design for that norwood grade with minute changes) -
that part i am also not sure that what happens to them once those hooked grafts shed. follicle is surely safe, that is 100 percent. but only assumption can be made that if their angle is good enough then hair strand come out of scalp in decent angle but definitely they are not coming out in intended angle at which the slit was made and implantation was done. one other thing is that in case this happened to someone else (unlike archan who did one area completely), who wanted to add density with another HT in same area due to covering whole scalp partially in first HT, then it is very easily going to be transected when making new slits as no way the surgeon can know that hooked grafts are there. the one bent in 2nd image may get transected.

Best hair transplant doctors in Turkey?
duckling replied to Sickog's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
if you are looking at turkey then i suggest the above options mentioned by archan already. I can group them into prices, then give my suggestion: pekiner, hlc and bicer are roughly same cost. You can go pekiner if you can afford that price. other 2 are also good but giving you the best among 3. turan, gur, yaman, demisroy are same roughly same cost. you can go for turan/gur as most bang for buck option. if you are looking at outside turkey and want hairline then i suggest de freitas in spain. pekiner and freitas are best in hairline and cost effective at same time. as other people who compare to them charge more than these 2. you can choose bruno ferreira and bruno pinto but for hairline i may not strongly recommend them and might recommend freitas more. they are also good for money you pay. they are in portugal. dr laorwong in thailand is also good for cost you pay. In india you get eugenix and can choose the package you want based on budget. -
@A_4_Archan sorry it took time. i got curious so read more than intended. below is link of article on implanter pens and trimmed data of whole article. article link: https://www.ishrs-htforum.org/content/27/3/96 Placing issues: growth failures caused by planting grafts with the device due to, for example, implanters causing grafts to hook or break on a regular basis. Hooking occurs when one of the bulbs protrudes from the needle’s groove. As the loaded needle enters the skin, the bulb remains stuck on the surface. Eventually, the follicle folds into what is best described as a “distal hook” as it affects the upper portion of the follicle. (image B) While splayed and large follicles are at risk for proximal hooking, the video revealed another culprit: trimmed hair growing around the recipient sites. Like little spears, the hairs enter the groove of the approaching implanter needle, lift a bulb, and cause a hook

1800 grafts today at Dr. Pan’s office in LA
duckling replied to percahontas's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
yep you had lot of existing hair. 1800 should be enough. and your temples are straight yes, so its fine not to create them or go aggressive. they dont look receeded. for hairline you need lot of single grafts to give natural look so maybe it tough for them to find, if you had lot of multi hair grafts available. -

1800 grafts today at Dr. Pan’s office in LA
duckling replied to percahontas's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
do you have any pre-op pics ? either in clinic or before that will also do. just to see how much existing hair you had there. 1800 seems about right if you had some existing hair but otherwise may fall a little short in density . its a standard hairline for a nw3. you have been given a nw2 hairline with no temples due to low graft count. (conservative approach, which is good) good luck for new hairline ! and do update about medication details if you take any? -
New hairline Fuegenix - 16 november 2022 - 2620 grafts
duckling replied to WTime's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
wow. did you lose hair after using finasteride also or you had lost lot of hair before starting ? though 15 years is a long time for it to not work like it did when you would have started the meds and hair loss may have progressed. yeah looks like amazing density change in 3 months from front profile. -
most things depend on your hair length and hairstyle so get a good barber. they can cut them in a way to hide thin areas if any. wash hair with a volumizing shampoo/conditioner but be careful of ingredients. better to use a volumizing conditioner and apply it only on strands and using a less chemical shampoo so scalp doesnt come in contact with it. then you can use a good hair brush (they are better than combs when you want volume but always remove tangles with finger first) and style it same way your barber styled it for you after haircut. if you want to keep same style intact then use pomade but at own risk as they also damage just like sea salt water in long run.
-
me too 😄 . hair adjusts so well when using a hair brush in morning and hairstyle stays same for long time. but without rogaine my hair falls flat in short time after combing. but i will say that its little rough to comb through if some minoxidil got applied to hair strands.
-
it can dehyrdate his hair though. hair will be very dry if he uses regularly.

Dr. Pittella - 10.419 grafts - 53 years old.
duckling replied to TIAGO FAVARATO PIEROTE's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
great improvement ! at just 4 months that too. slight over harvesting at sides (left one mainly). hope it gets better with time. but considering your grade its worth the risk. redness from beard extraction has reduced. -
Eugenix | Dr. Vinita | 2730 grafts | 6th - 7th June 2023
duckling replied to MildSeven's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
great write-up. Yeah you can increase your finasteride dosage slightly more and it should help the crown area. No need to use lot of grafts there for 1st surgery. good decision as i can see existing hair there in post-op pics. with your long hair its tough to see pre-op pics of crown. (i checked your other thread and they look fine.. they had a thinning look) coming to hairline, Design is pretty good (think its the standard one that they provide and it looks great with that new temple of yours). the hairline will go well with your long hairstyle too if you wish to keep them long again. good luck for new hair ! happy growing. -
Hyper responder or placebo ?? 🤔
duckling replied to BillyHopkins88's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
if that crown fills completely then you become good candidate for HT. because that dip is big and makes it tough to get enough grafts to fill front, mid and crown. with dut you might get some shed initially. if you dont then well and good as you might have already shed all miniaturized hairs by blocking 70 percent DHT itself. hope dut improves your hair more than what fin did. keep updating the progress pics. -
people who take finasteride also have great beard so I dont think you need to worry about fin working against beard hair grafts. finasteride only blocks a certain percentage of DHT based on dosage but it doesnt block all of DHT. neither does dutasteride. One thing though that can happen is slower beard hair growth due to less DHT. but i havent seen much data on this. People normally havent complained.

duckling replied to BillyHopkins88's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
comparision is tough with different hair length but donor area does look good. this is probably from finasteride as in just two weeks of dutasteride change cant be too big.
