  1. pekiner and bicer come in same price category. Here i pick pekiner if you have good money. turan come in same price category as gur, yaman. Here i pick turan if you want budget option. price you pay for turan is 2.5x times less than pekiner and bicer. if you see irrespective of price then pekiner > bicer > turan.
  2. always be on it for 1 year (standard) or maybe atleast 6 months before you reach out to surgeons (if in a hurry). for hairline you have chosen great surgeons : pekiner and freitas. You can meanwhile wait for their inputs and keep taking meds. if they accept your case then also you can ask for a later date to give FIN the time it needs. Then proceed with surgery if not satisfied with regrowth from meds. when you have lot of existing hair, use meds first. surgery is always last option.
  3. you are taking it the wrong way. i liked the "explaining yourself part" but i was expecting a honest feedback for his 2nd HT from you after so much of discussions about his first HT. That would be a more adult way of taking things. I dont think melvin wants to ban users as that hurts forum and its purpose itself, but its your choice and view. 🙂 I respect it.
  4. its possible that you were losing existing hair to DHT. taking finasteride is going to help you if you lost them to DHT, but at first it will cause shedding too of miniaturized hairs. later will regrow them back. have patience and keep updating results. good luck. and also try to control stress if possible, its not just bad for hair health but also for mental health too.
  5. discuss everything that you wanted to ask to be absolutely sure he is the one you want to operate on you. Expectation about work has to match so yes you can ask what type of hairline and temples you want and what he suggests. he can give rough idea and draw roughly. take a pic and maybe post here to get some outside views on it, but obviously your decision will have most weight. gather all questions from forums too and note them down. when i go to my dermatologist also i write down all things i want to ask and take progress pics so i can discuss with him about changes to meds regime also. one thing i will say is get your donor views from him (this helps even if you dont go ahead with him). ask him to maybe check with magnification tool they have (small tool they carry in pocket). if not then they can still tell by looking too.
  6. yes you can get a corrective surgery done. it will depend on surgeon on how well they fix it so its undetectable as many surgeons dont do temple work that often so be careful when selecting surgeon for second HT. for now i will suggest working on current hairloss situation and not worry about temples.
  7. check with doctor, then change to topical version. it also works well for many.
  8. big improvement ! hair looks so much dense now from top view with more months of results to come . Hairline will take more time .
  9. there is hope that meds work for you by 1 year. Because from the comparision of wet hair and dry hair pics i can see that hair diameter is surely low because in dry hair pics if density isnt bad but when hair is wet and you put harsh light it looks like bald spots so its not like you have lost those hair completely but they have thinned way out too much from DHT. and your shedding of miniaturized hair backs it up. dont be disheartened and keep taking meds. maybe up the dosage for fin to 1 mg after consultation. you might have to wait for results after changing dosage though to more 1 year. (possible better results but not guaranteed as it depends on your hair's sensitivity to DHT)
  10. The design itself looks so satisfactory. But cant wait for the end result. Good luck ! and I did not expect that all the areas that you wanted to cover will get covered with just scalp grafts. and 3000 grafts that too.
  11. i dont think you should do HT for now. as you have started meds then see the result at 1 year or 6 months at minimum. Maybe you are one of the hyper responders. (just a hope) you are norwood 7 with weak donor (atleast it looks from side that way) . so you need meds to give great result and then maybe still i would not recommend it but if you have a beard and maybe some good chest hair then you stand some chance. in my honest opinion shaving head and then doing smp with grown out beard is the way forward for you.
  12. you dont have mpb or maybe even if you have you will end up very low norwood grade. at 33 you are have such great density. your crown is only thing which can confirm it in next few years. ( that is only thing slightly worrying but its only minutely changed in 10 years) you can apply topical minoxidil in crown area. You probably dont need FIN for now. Check with a dermatologist and he can confirm you regarding mpb and also about meds. . and maybe also get a ketocanazole shampoo (nizoral brand if available near you or any other also works) . That is more than enough for you. even if you ever plan to take fin then just take topical version which comes with minoxidil and apply on that crown area.
  13. @Kristian follow this list. these 5 are best options in turkey. they have different pricing too so depending on budget you can select any.
  14. good luck. keep fingers crossed and hope that you are a great responder. but have patience for the 1 year result and keep realistic expectations.
  15. lot of shedding has happened. now its waiting time for you to get them back. have patience and keep updating.
  16. no effect on HT results. its just your hair strands thats trimmed and by 1 month hair follicles underneath are well secured. Hair strand getting trimmed also doesnt matter anyways as you would have shed most of them by next few weeks.
  17. true i dont disagree. those grafts may not last long. but people are willing to take that risk when they are nw6 and nw7 so surgeons have to go outside safe zone and are now trying to take out grafts such that it doesnt look like its overharvested. if it doesnt last then either way they shave it off or go smp so those remaining grafts do helps them. but if a nw6 or nw7 gets back hair for 10 years also (due to meds i think they can keep atleast that long if meds work) then its a win for them. and if it lasts longer then its a big bonus. anything less is not a great reward yes.
  18. i dont if the hairband was better or the pictographical explanations 😄 . jk quite a big writeup and pretty detailed and interesting one. now coming to work, the widow's peak with the new temples makes the hairline look aggressive. you have choosen a great surgeon so you can relax until the 1 year mark when the final result for hairline will be complete. good luck for results. Happy growing !
  19. very good results for a very limited amount of grafts that too. its going to be hard for anyone to find out about HT with that soft hairline.
  20. well it all worked at the end for you quite well. normally i have seen dut given at 3 times a week when making the switch to fin but he gave a daily dose which is given little later. good that you didnt get any big sides and responded so well to the meds.
  21. think he is the one who can defy these. I am not big fan of taking lot of hair way outside safe areas but he seems to be doing it and his patients have good results atleast for 1 year that we have seen. if the non dht resistant hair even last 10 year then i say the procedure is super worth it for higher norwood. good luck for consultation. if you have good body hair then surely you wont worry about grafts.
  22. fantastic results @Viney. any reason why you made this switch so fast ? you would have finished 1st cycle of finasteride shedding when you went on dutasteride. that would have started another shedding cycle for small amount of hair because of more potent DHT blocker. and it wasnt enough time to see finasteride gains
  23. good results for low grafts but why that much low grafts used for the big area? finance or donor limitation ? i think 3k or 3.5k both work great in similar cases i have seen.. if conservative mean 3k is better.
  24. good results. matching the density behind hairline was tough so 2k grafts were definitely needed. Think for men same areas can be done with 800-1000 grafts with more singles used in hairline and obviously different hairline design as this one is feminine. reviewing a female case after so so long 😄
  25. first consult with a doctor. there is chance of oral minoxidil causing ankle swelling. Hopefully all comes out ok and sides go away. Then maybe lower your dose to 1.25 and see if you get any sides. later on try to up the dose to 2.5 after some days and see if sides come back. i had swelling in arm which went away slowly by a week. (after 2 days i had noticed it reducing in size even when i was taking it , so i was relieved and i had my annual full body test too around same time which came out all good).
