  1. Dr. Konior, Thank you for your detailed explanation. I 'm sure this guy is a happy camper...Is it possible for us to see this patients results outside in the sun? Again, thanks for your time. Best,
  2. Dr. Shapiro, Looks good so far...Very nice and vary natural. By the way, great pics with consistent lighting. No guess work here...SMG'S TRANSPARENCY is greatly appreciated... Did you use any DFU'S on this patient? Furthermore, how do you determine who is a good candidate and who isn't one for DFU's as part of their HT procedure? In addition, it seems that this patient has very good coverage even at this point in time in his procedure with only 2580 FU's. Doc, how do you determine at what density to plant the FU's through out the patients scalp? I wish I could articulate my questions more appropriately, just crunched for time now... Thank you,
  3. Dr Konior, Great result... Furthermore, this kind of result shows a great illusion of density with such a conservative amount of grafts-is awesome...To what do you attribute the biggest driver for this kind result?
  4. Predator, Thank you for sharing your pics with us and being so honest about your results... In addition, your result is a huge cosmetic improvement. Good illusion of density. However, it also shows how lighting can affect the HT. Moreover do you feel better about the procedure-are you more confident-has your quality of life improved-do you have more fun-do you think about your hair less? Can you move on in your life? These are all questions that ony you can answer honestly about your HT experience with Dr Rahal... Not sure if you spoke to your doc or not, but it would not hurt to call him and discuss your concern about your shedding and possibly discuss your density issues. Take Care,
  5. TakingThePlunge, For what's its worth, I saw your before and after pics and form the fornt it looks much better. The illusion of density looks good. Now, I know it's only a pic and the lighting and angles can truly change the appearance of density. However, from the top down, and the sides, your concern is warranted... I'm curious how do you think it looks outside in the Sun head on? One other thing, I hope and believe it will thicken up for you over the next 4 to 6 months. Best,
  6. Bill, Thanks. I guess than the traveling techs that go from one suregon to the other would be inferior in consistent performance and thus, they would have no continuity or experience in working with each other or the surgeon. In terms of probability of positive outcome, the loser would be the patient and the winner would be the doctor due to on time management of labor cost. No? What do you think Bill? Again thanks Bill. Hey PGP, what's your take? Am I off base here. Thanks,
  7. PGP, Can you clarify your statement that it is the techs that make or break a surgery? Thanks,
  8. Spex, Thanks for positing better pics...Could you clarify more clearly who is a candidate and who isn't? And when you say a diffuse thinner is an ideal candidate, does that also include both men & women? From my perspective, the results look promising, but still a long way to go... Here is the killer though, since Dr. Greceo and Dr. Feller brought this procedure to this forum, it is quickly gaining traction.... So much for big pharma companies...LOL...
  9. B spot, I like your explanation of this question. Layering various density levels through the various parts of the scalp. The downside though is multiple surgeries and more down time. In the end though, if this an option and clearly conveyed to the patient, it should be carefully considered... B, in the hairline area, how far back would the doc need to plant to greatly reduce the see through look with natural results? In addition, in my opinion, it seems natural to see some scalp, when you see guys with very thick hairlines that are not age appropraate- it is a dead give away that an HT was performed. Not to mention what happens 10 years from now to that persons hair. You brough up some great points about the number of FU's needed to give the density level of 45fu cm2, could FUE be used to suppliment a strip? If we are talking about the average man needing say 9000 Fu's to achieve good density, and assuming a complete bald scalp of 200cm and the normal available donor is roughly 6500 fu's could FUE make up the difference? Also, in terms of schock loss, if someone had a previous HT, how would that affect their existing HT hairs? Thanks,
  10. The Emperor, Thank you for making the decisions to post the pics and share them with other members of this community. Now this may sound strange, but can you post the bad pics with the good pics... I think this will give a more balanced result for the viewers of this forum to see. Even people who have a full head of hair have bad hair days. LOL. As far as the scar is concerned, it sounds like you were dissapointed...What did the doc say about this? Did you get good post op care, or did you feel like they were not responsive to your concern? Yes, the ugly duckling phase is a bitch and you have to be mentally strong to go throught with it. We could be talking about you looking like a science project for anoter 4 to six months...Have you shared your true feelings with the doc? If this is a top 5 doc and he is as good as you say he is, his bedside manner should be spot on. Usually the very best doctors strive for excellence, not only in results, but in caring of their patients. Is he this type of doctor? One last thing, if you look like a stud in the pool with your hair wet under harsh lights or even outside in a public pool-that must be a great feeling...
  11. The Emperor, Your desire to remain anonymous is greatly appreciated. However, how do you feel about sharing pictures with out revealing your identity? It would defnintely help others in seeking an HT and truly help them manage their expectations. This is why forums like this are so important. Results good or bad need to be seen...With the understanding that your privacy needs to be portected... If you went to a top five doc and aren't happy, do you think it was an issue of communication or unrealistic expectations. Did you and the doc discuss a long term plan, or was this a supposedly one and done idea? Your help is greatly appreciated. Best
  12. Bill, So I gather from your answer,it is the surgeon who determines what direction the transplanted hairs will mature in. What if you can't style your hair, even after a year has passed and all it does is stand straigt up. Are there any options? Thank you,
  13. Can transplanted hairs grow straight up-meaning they do want to lay flat on the scalp as normal hair? If so, what causes this? Thank you,
  14. Can transplanted hairs grow straight up-meaning they do want to lay flat on the scalp as normal hair? If so, what causes this? Thank you,
  15. B Spot, Just curious, do you have any pictures of your procedure? Best,
  16. Abbey, This is going to sound funny, but I had a friend of mine tell about womens mascara for mens hair almost 20 years ago when I was in europe-never took him serious, thought he was joking. Which Max faxtor brand is it. Come to think of it now, his hair always looked good. Thanks,
  17. Janna, Again, very valid points. This is why one must research the HT process and the doc/staff to strive for the highest possibility of success. Plus a have good understanding of what the illusion of density is and how it will create a natural cosmetic improvement. Best.
  18. Janna, Concerning my question, well said...Individualism is definitely a key when you are talking about someones looks. I mean an HT will affect someones looks for many years to come, this is why you go to one of the best in the world-if not the best in the world...This way you have a much higher probability of success. Moreover, can you define SMG's definition of a patient's realistic expectations. From my previous post, do you have a picture of the other side of your patient? As for the ISHRS video, I thought it was fine, but on my computer Rob's hairline was not visible. It seemed like it was cut off through out the video. Janna, do you think it is my computer settings? Or maybe the ISHRS people need to go to the H&W & SMG School of Video. Thanks
  19. Janna, Not to sound corny, but SMG from the pictures posted on this and other forums, excel at producing significant cosmetic improvements that greatly improve your patient's quality of life rergardless of their hair characteristics. What would you say is your clinics biggest driver of success. I swear no on paid me to say this-LOL. As SunTzu once said, "Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat." SMG has this down...
  20. Dewayne, Any thoughts on that picture-if you're to busy, I understand. Best,
  21. Dewayne, Gald to hear you are so happy and not thinking about your hair...LOL...Dr. Cooley did a fine job... Moreover, thanks for the update, the pics, and your time... Is it possible for you to take a picture your HT in the same light conditions as your pre-op picture... BEST
  22. Have any of you used their Niospray? Thank you
