  1. I’ve been watching linkovs videos, and his information is solid. It is different from the untrained non medical professional. And it’s great that he puts himself out there. I think more dr’s should actively put their faces out there and seek to educate. Without education it’s all just propaganda. his results however are average at best but he certainly puts out great information. IMO consume the content to better inform yourself and then pick a real hair transplant surgeon
  2. Dr Cooley is a high pedigree doctor, no doubt you’ll get an outcome that he’s laid out for you
  3. To get that many grafts in a singles session with what doesn’t appear to be th best donor area amazing to be fair to the man. Hoping you gets good outcome donor looks healed really well.
  4. If you are worried about general thinning it doesn’t necessarily have to be mpb or retrograde alopecia, sometimes things can be triggered by life events or deficiencies. Have you had any blood results in the last 6 months. Speak to a doc and get a work up
  5. You should look to a country where a surgeon does Afro cases day in day out. Very few surgeons can offer high quality FUE Afro surgery. FUT seems to be the preferred route especially with your tight curl. I hope you come through this stronger, and wish you the very best. There are docs in America/ South America who I think would be better suited, if you wanted a repair and of course if you had the donor area to facilitate it. Have you tried smp?
  6. We haven’t seen any pics on this forum if I’m not mistaken, it might be worth posting some pictures for people to see. Have you tried Fin for crown if it’s thinning, hair line nw3 normally can be done well with 2000-2500 grafts. of your budget is £8k and your donor sufficient then Mittal should still be affordable. Wasn’t he doing it at £3 a graft unless his prices have increased?
  7. Some may have been members once and are maybe no longer. From what I understand they have categories of membership. Maybe that’s why. when doing research, at the time the ISHRS had very minimum criteria to become a member, not sure if that is the case now, but attending a couple of conferences and they’ll accept you as a member. So doesn’t give rise to any credence in terms of skills or results. However they do have a good code of ethics. What is your budget?
  8. Plenty to come in mate.. the fact you’ve already started to show some signs of growth. Your tip theory is unique
  9. What is your budget. And where are you based. Remember a few things: 1. dr led consultation is important. Not a quick hi thank you bye. 2. Do you like their work. 3. who is doing the work. A clinic that has techs do the surgical cuts into the skin of course will be cheaper. 4. how many other patients will be in on that day, if techs are doing the work then expect to be one of many. 5. aftercare and follow up. My preference was to see my doc post procedure. 6. the U.K. is a difficult marker to navigate, but with a proper consultation and a gut feeling about your surgeon I think you can have a great outcome subject to your current status. 7. post a picture of the hair loss, not every surgeon is the right fit. I know Dr Mittal likes a conservative approach and focusing on one area. Other surgeons will do an entire head. So each procedure and surgeon has their preferences. 8. price is an important factor; but it can cost you a lot more to repair poor work. I’ve read so many stories on here, and it’s really quite sad. This industry is polluted with ruthless sales guys. my two cents well turned into 8 cents. good luck what ever you choose.
  10. Sorry I can’t seem to look at what’s been posted. Regardless do your due diligence take your time I’m sure you’ll come to an effective conclusion.
  11. Other docs to consider in the U.K; Dr Manish Mittal, Dr Raghu Reddy, Dr Ed Ball.
  12. Accreditations are good, just ask who is doing what part of the procedure, and make sure you get a good overall feeling from the other clinic. There are a bunch of good U.K. surgeons, so don’t limit yourself. Do your research and speak to 3/4 surgeons before committing yourself
  13. This looks great with the fibres. Sadly wimpole clinic is a hit and Miss clinic and a bit of a mill. When I had my consult with them they were very professional, but were open about the parts the surgeon does and the techs do. This allows the surgeon to do more cases. But it’s amazing to see how much growth happened in the space of a week. Shocked actually. It’s starting to look decent. Be patient you could have a lot more to come in.
  14. Finasteride is really important, I hope you consider taking this if you arnt already. IMO doing your due diligence is important. I think you’ve made a solid decision in who you are going with. there is good and bad everywhere. The U.K. is no different to anywhere else in the world. But what should be important is 1. You’ve met the doctor and had an in-depth conversation with the doctor, where possible go and see him, let him physically mark a hair line on your head. 2. You’ve taken your time to think about it and not something you’ve decided today and wanted a hair transplant tomorrow 3. Making sure the doc spends his time focusing on you I’ve herd of some of my friends going to other clinics where they were one of 4 in the U.K. even, and thought they were going to be the only person operated on by the doc. Turns out the doc was only in for 1hr. Rest of the time was being with the techs doing most of the work. 4. follow up was with the doc 5. prepping for surgery I’m sure the docs team; will go through this with you. 6. Following the aftercare. 7. Take 2 weeks off work to completely heal. I think that’s all for now. but the most important this is set up your own thread let people advise you on that, as I think you are derailing this thread from Danny.
  15. You should set up your own thread and make sure you document your process. Dr Manish Mittal (aka Dr Mani) is a good choice but sadly people are accusing genuine people like yourself as being posers for his practice. Disprove it log your journey. Good luck with it. And if you have any questions having gone through the process my self more than happy to help
  16. Good luck mate, as long as you have realistic expectations I’m sure a good doc will get you some amazing results here. Dense packing required
  17. FUE donor Dr Mittal recommended avoiding getting hair cut for one month post surgery, only clippers or scissors. No razors.
  18. Witch hazel is good if you have ingrown hairs in donor area
  19. I think there is higher levels of accountability in the U.K. govening bodies etc. see if your current research offers a finance option. Dr Reddy and Dr. Ball are good doctors and no doubt will give you good advice. Have a consultation and see how you feel after.
  20. This is great advice don’t have a surgery your hair is not suitable at present especially without trying stabalising meds
  21. Price aside I think you should ask who is doing the work, how many patients will your doctor be overseeing on that day. At 2k I’m assuming you’d have to be one of 6,7 or 8 patients being overseen by the doctor. But the price is enticing especially if they are able to produce good results. My personal experience was a 1:1 only patient on the day. But I know doctors do multiple surgeries on the day i just didn’t feel comfortable being one of however many. Wanted to make sure the doc was there throughout and was hands on. But I suppose you pay for what you get. post some pics of the hairline. And let us know how they respond to some the questions above
  22. All 3 are good options. Depends whose style you like the most and budget wise. From what you’ve posted Miln is cheapest, mittal in the middle and ball highest. But don’t go based off price speak to all 3 and then calm down and digest the information given. Make sure you get some good face time with the doc. And ask what is truely achievable with your situation. Do you have any pictures posted?
  23. Any updates on your situation. Any growth. Or still very much on the dormant phase?
