  1. I think that it’s more than reasonable. I think all doctors need to take higher levels of accountability. I’m seeing an ever increasing volume of doctors attempting several cases in the course of the day, which is clearly to line their pockets with as much income as possible. as safe as the procedure is there are ethics and good will and a doctor just being there as a name sake is shocking. It’s a shame there isn’t a gold standard that all clinics and doctors should aim for. assuming it would be bad for the industry but would be a lot better for the patients potentially wanting to have work done.
  2. Not bad at all but 8000 grafts 40k euros damn! Anomaly surgeon anomaly prices
  3. This is just unbelievable. Great surgeon donor is pretty much as good as it can get after that many grafts. hiw much did he charge
  4. That’s interesting. I agree a technician doing the extraction should be named. There is a political issue that I’ve just thought about and I suppose it is a barrier to entry. If surgical extraction is delegated because it is technically challenging to retrieve grafts a new surgeon can relatively easily enter the fray and do incisions only. Maybe that’s why particularly here in the U.K. the old guard is very anti-tech extraction. but imo I think any cuts made into the skin should be done by a doctor. And also if possible doctor to implant. But must be a Herculean task to do all 3 so can understand implanting done by techs. grafts can still be damaged on implantation.
  5. So preference should be: doctor extracts doctor does incisions technicians replace grafts and separate and a max of 2 surgeries in a day. I agree with the above. I don’t think an unlicensed person should be making any cuts in someone’s head. By the same token you wouldn’t train a recpetionist to start cutting into someone’s brain just because they have experience, and skills. They should be licenced to do so. Do we know if there is any licensing arrangements for techs? Are they insured to cut into peoples head? I know physician assosciates are now heavily involved which is more ethical imo and licenced nurses who do minor procedures. And surely you wouldn’t pay 10-20k dollars to have a doc do 1 hours worth of work I.e just the incisions. Seems ludacris
  6. Your decision at the end of the day but it looks decent the way it is. Have you got any thoughts/ ideas on where you’d want a hair line to be placed? Maybe design something and post a picture of it
  7. I think we should discuss in an open and transparent way the surgical steps taken in doing FUE and the role of each team member as a whole in each step. This is so that a clear indication is given on what is deemed gold standard and what isn’t? FUE: hair line design should be done by operating surgeon. I’ve read and herd clinics allow other members of staff or patients to draw their own hair line? There is no clear consensus on any forum I’ve seen that a doctor should make the cuts into the donor area for extracting the follicles. What are peoples opinion on this. Should it be delegated to a tech or should the doctor do this. seperation of grafts use of microscopes to be done by doc or tech? incisions done by doc or tech. Surely same creedance applies to both extraction and incisions. But mostly doctors will do this part. implantation should this be done by doctors or techs? Forceps or implanter pens. would be interesting to read the communities thoughts on this. Imo, docs should do the extracting and incisions. And I know some doctors are moving into doing implantation with forceps too.
  8. Mate this guy is a f**king genius! No way in gods earth are you going to think you’ve ever had a hair transplant. Kudos to the doc. How does he get such soft single hair follicles even in the darkest of hairs
  9. Yes messed up industry to be fair, why do patients allow those who are not doctors cut into their skin. I mean does it mean I can start doing it if I wanted to without any medical knowledge
  10. Dont worry about it too much your entering a shedding phase and will go on to lose most of the implanted hairs from week 3
  11. Favorite Five HT Doctors* 1)zarev 2)nusbaum 3)munib Ahmed 4)schambach 5)Lorenzo Worst 1) difficult one I think a surgeon attempting to perform several procedures a day and delegating the bulk of the process should be a big red flag Most Overrated 1) Bicer (she uses a large number of grafts in smaller areas. A good surgeon should utilise the least number of grafts to get maximum output) Most Underrated 1) Mittal 2) Laorwang 3) Pinto Best Value 1) Laorwang from a pure price point and outcome perspective
  12. This guy forever the keyboard warrior. Mate you know you’re doing a disservice to other ptients not a service. Until you see the guy get to know his work and his ptients you haven’t got a clue. And I won’t back down on this one because if the above ptient is real and there’s no reason to think he isn’t, given what he has written half way through the thread, then no wonder he doesn’t come back to repost. You’re a demoralising t*t. If you haven’t got anything constructive to say keep your keyboard firmly tucked away.
  13. And every time any one writes anything positive about the guy you try and put him down. What a guy. I am keen on seeing how patients get on with him especially based off my experience. And pal there are several reviews lengthy reviews with constant updates and engagement on this site. You are just a sad mofo. Ahaha and this guy was also commented on Dr Mani Mittal being the worst. You’re a joker!
  14. Bro you’ve got it bad for Dr Mani. Almost as though you work for a clinic in some capacity or whatever an earth you asked earlier A frequent hater of his. No idea why?! Someone must have broken you real bad. Have you had any experience of him? Or spoken with the guy. Or you just a sour individual and trying to tarnish the guys reputation
  15. No I do not. Just a happy patient in contact with the clinic for my finasteride every 6 months
  16. So to be clear surgeons need a formal invite before they can post?
  17. I can reach out to Dr M about this, however thought surgeons had to be invited to post on here? maybe @Melvin- Moderatorcan shed some light on this.
  18. Mate this looks ace! You’ll get a lot more density and the hairs will soften over the next 6-12 months. Do you have a Birds Eye view too with hair pushed back. Love the story of coming out of the water. Hair restoration is great especially when you are selected as a good candidate.
  19. Hairline design is a sensible one to be fair, the price is that Raghu Reddy, or Vida?
  20. I think any surgery poses risks. In the current climate it’s not just results but the amount of care and support you get, and god forbid something go wrong can your doc manage the complications.
  21. RTC, agreed Dr Ball is a great doc, extremely conservative by nature. Unsure why you’re anti-mittal. A lot of people have had a great experience with him and one of the few dOC that actually cares, and is doing things properly, and only focusing on one patient a day.
  22. Oh and look at the IAHRS. There is a great list of excellent doctors on that list, and it’s apparently a vetted list too
  23. All the names you’ve mentioned are great options, however havnt seen much From D’Souza. Raghu Reddy is not a member of the ABHRS, but I don’t think it adds much. Just an extra qualification. Reddy does produce great outcomes as does Mittal. Farjo is a tried a tested name that also do great work. I think it’s an intimate procedure and one where your surgeon will be in close contact with you after the fact. So you should be able to get on personally too. That was my take on it. And a surgeon that can produce good work even with smaller number of grafts. consultation is the most important things, and the best doctors will charge you for their time. if you have any q’s more than happy to help answer. post a few pics too. good luck
