  1. Stay chill, you’ve got some more growth to come in. You’ve chosen a good doc. And donor is in incredible shape. if any concerns take it up with him. I’m sure he’ll look after you! good luck
  2. Good luck mate. Take it easy, watch your head on the cabin hold doors etc. hopefully flight is a quiet one for you. Look forward to seeing recovery. How much did he charge you? And will it be him making the holes?
  3. The aforementioned docs in the U.K are great make sure your doc is doing the work. Try and pick someone that does one a day. As above Bisanga in Belgium is a great option.
  4. Wonderful to see the passion this man has and the desire to better other peoples lives! Great Podcast Melvin
  5. Depends on your level of hair loss. He’s great for hair lines and appears to prefer a more conservative approach. Archan above does make a valid point. Dr. Mani is a great surgeon but bisanga has legacy. That’s the difference. If you want to stay in the u.k then I don’t think you can go wrong with Dr Mani. Have a consult see how you feel. Post up some pics
  6. Can’t access this. I think you’re right and people shouldn’t blindly accept anyone. But looking at my experience and 100’s of patients experiences he performs safe procedures with consistent results. You are right the live with a doc acting unprofessional would be insanity! But watching him do the procedure just seemed like second nature to me. But hey ho that’s my humble opinion. I don’t know the history on the above two mentioned docs only that they perform some great natural outcomes. IMO if I was in the U.K. at the very least I would have no hesitation going back to him if I needed another HT.
  7. I don’t think there is a single surgeon that hasn’t worked for other clinics in the past, it’s how you cut your teeth and learn. Watching his recent live, he seemed completely at east talking through the processes, whilst doing a procedure. You can tell he takes patient care seriously because during the incisions he cut it short because of the bleeding and seemingly looked like he needed to concentrate. It would appear who ever may have initially trained him has given him a foundation and spring board to do things his own way. There are not many doctors that do one patient a day and do the bulk of the work themselves. It is laughable that you mention he has some bad results which again is normal, but when pressed on showing evidence you can’t present these. So you deflect to something else. At the end of the day, I’m sure Melvin would have done his due diligence on the guy! He is young he is gifted, the “newer” generation of HT surgeons seemingly want to be a lot more hands on are producing the best work. Look at Dr. Munib Ahmed! Excellent surgeon probably been doing it the same amount of time as Dr Mani. Just food for thought.
  8. To suggest there have been failures it is a very throw away remark. Please evidence this. As above he has already answered where density has not been obtained he does do complimentary top ups. I’m yet to see an outcome which would constitute a “failure”.
  9. Look it’s quite simple. With any doctor whose got experience will create a bespoke hair line not a cookie cutter one size fits all. Your donor plays an important role in all of this and how you feel you want your hair line to be. In England/London it’s as good as it gets with him. imo I had a decent experience and am thrilled with my outcomes. The images you have posted as an example is a great example of how natural outcomes can be. have a chat see how you feel after. It’s all about being pragmatic and having a realistic understanding of what is achievable in your situation. good luck
  10. Mate it’s simple… I wouldn’t want a beautician turned technician hacking into my head… or a bunch of students who have come from abroad and looking to make money in the U.K. working in my head. Do your research. In the U.k if you’re getting a transplant at 2k or less there’s a reason for it. If your goal is simply more hair on your head then go for it. Ofherwise spend more time doing research and take it from there
  11. Looks good but looks as though some hairs have already fallen out with scabs U.K. assuming?
  12. Provided donor is in good condition fill in using 1200 grafts. But most docs charge more for repairs I believe?!
  13. Tough one that, as it’s not just down to surgical skill it’s also down to how many fit’s are performed. I think in this current market it’s less and less available particularly in the U.K, so surely there is a level of loss of skill set technician wise. Who knows minefield mate
  14. Clean looks great. Looks like an amazing donor area, high density. You should get a cracking outcome. Keep sharing your progress. No doubt you’ll get haters now that Mani’s name has been mentioned ahaha good luck
  15. Did you have a consultation with the doctor, your picture above indicates hair line requirement only.
  16. Converted GP’s is not a problem, but it’s a case of how good the surgeon is that’s all that matters
  17. Dr Reddy was a lot more expensive a few years ago at the private clinic. If you can get him for the number of grafts you need for 12k you’ll need 2000 atleast by the looks of it I think you should certainly consider him. At the private clinic it would have been closer to 20k.
  18. Yes, there are. This is why places like this community are becoming more important to check a prospective doctor out. Avoid any clinic that doesn’t display who their doctors are. And avoid any clinic that does more than one patient a day. That should be the gold standard with the best doctors actually doing the work themselves. The U.K now is more dangerous than ever before. With a failing nhs more and more doctors are looking for an out. And are all trying to jump on this gravy train. if the price is too low expect it to be a new surgeon doing the work on your head. And ask the question how many procedures have you done! who will be doing the work how many cases will you be overseeing do you work with a regular group of techs These are just some of the basics that a good clinic should be able to answer. hair transplants are hard to get right!
  19. Diffuse thinner large area has worked wonders. Defo more to come in if only at 8 months, you’ll continue to see improvement even beyond 12-14 months so another 4-6 months of steady growth
  20. This is a poor transplant! No other words to describe it. It’s not a failed hair transplant because the follicles have grown it’s just a poorly done procedure. I’ve read here before and other places a hair transplant looks easy but it’s F**king hard! But people now think it’s as simple as going to the barber shop and getting a quick shape up! Industry as a whole is beyond corrupt
