all hair transplant surgeons are waiting for Dr Bloxhams results. If there are positive results in his trial only then will other surgeons take the leap. I guess we have to wait a full 12 months for the result.

Many doctors put beard hair in donor scars, they do so by making slits in the donor area. Maybe an experienced doctor can make slits in the donor scar tissue and inject it with verteporfin.

@DrTBarghouthiBarghouthi we really appreciate all the effort that you have put in and we are so thankful that you are going out of your way for these trials. Was there any hair regrowth in addition to scar reduction ? Also I agree with @Nikoni is there any chance you can do an FUE scar revision on this patient. One way to do so is to make slits (similar to how they are made in recipient area) in the FUE scars and then to inject verteporfin.

Just saw your previous posts. You have been through a lot. I'm happy you've got good results now. I'm thinking of getting SMP for my FUE scars, can you tell me about your experience with SMP ? Were you satisfied with it ? I have seen some SMPs merge and turn blue, did you experience anything like that ?

I would definitely say that there is significant improvement, at least from the pictures that you have shared. In addition to this your SMP (if not faded) will act as an adjunct to the hair transplant in adding density. Awaiting further pictures. I myself require a repair.

FUE scars are really sticky, they will be difficult to excise without hair. Moreover, if verteporfin does not work the excised scar may look worse. Maybe after Dr Bloxhams FUT scar a small FUE scar revision session can be done.

No one can say if it is repairable or not other than a good and ethical hair transplant surgeon. I would advise to wait a few more months. If verteporfin is even 50% the all powerful drug that some belive it to be then it may be a game changer in hair transplants.
