You appear like a Norwood 3 or 3A to me. And no you didn't catch it early. At November 21 you have fairly receded. But you seem to have made good progress with fin and min. Continue it for a year. Then consider a HT. Finasteride can take a year to show max results so be pateint. HT can wait.

Commit to using it. There will days where you can apply it twice and days where you have to apply it once. I use twice afternoon and late at night before i go to bed. Sometimes it becomes once a day due to travelling or other circumstances.

Dr Das is giving some good results honestly. This is awesome for four months.

One month update. I think I never shedded. But nonetheless my hair fall has reduced a lot. Not sure if there is thickening or not but it's just one month so i am not worried.

Use morrf 5 for a year. In the mean time save and go for HT at Eugenix. As you are in the advanced end of baldness. You shouldn't think of risking with cheaper options. Your grafts will be destroyed. In India Eugenix is your best bet. How long those hair grow?Try growing them out a bit longer.

Nobody looks at your crown at first glance. It's the front. Moreover crown can take up lot of grafts.

@sukh123It's called having an opinion. And i based my opinion with the reasons i mentioned in my post. You are free to disagree.

My vote goes for Eugenix as the best. Because i know how hard it is to cater to the Indian expectations as well as to the Western domain equally well. Baldness is more accepted in the western countries as well as in European countries. In India it's getting accepted but still considered a wierd thing because most people here think it's a disease and not a natural process. Also the journey of Eugenix is quite inspiring especially Dr Pradeep from where he started from Odisha and where the clinic stands now. Their results aren't bad either and improving even with the lower packages.

Chances of HT going bad really depends on the surgeon doing the surgery and even then it can't be guaranteed. You can go to a good local surgeon and get a good result and at the same time you can go for internationally recognised surgeons and get a bad result or vice versa. HT is a always a gamble but with great surgeons chances of the gamble going your way is far greater. Secondly :- Your expectations. If your NW4 or above either the A or V variant. You should consider having your expectations low because you won't have a great head of hair with great density unless your donor is extremely good which is rarely the case with higher norwoods. Thirdly you need to commit to Medications to maintain your existing as well as your transplanted hairs. And lastly HT can bring a great change in your life do your research and then go for it if you are feeling confident about it. There are risks but without taking them nothing really good has happened. Cheers.

You are maintaning what you have. As pointed out by Eugenix you can't have transplant in the area you are trying to. I have a similar case like yours but with some recession but i am taking medication to improve and maintain. Try seeing if you lack any vitamins etc. Because if finasteride and Minoxidil aren't thickening your hairs you might some other deficiency. So a blood test might help your case.

@Eugenix Hair SciencesYes surely. If the thickness improves well on the scalp to a better degree that much can carry for 2 years. The recession doesn't bother me a lot as when styled properly it doesn't look bad it's thinning that is worrying me. If it improves to a good level in the next 6-12months i am more than satisfied. @JoselitoElGalloThe needle size is 0.5 mm. I am not a huge fan of dermarolling but if it can improve my current situation then why not. Also my goal with medical treatment is to go to a point where when the hair is longer the thinning doesn't become very noticable. In the pic my hair is very short in length. And if i can then be able to maintain my gains till 30 probably will consider a HT . But if at all i don't get any thickness back(which i believe can happen)i will go for a HT in a year or two.

@Eugenix Hair SciencesCan my sleep schedule affect my results? Depending on my work time i sometimes sleep early but sometimes I have to sleep real late. But i do make sure i get 7-8 hours of sleep. Is it going to affect my progress?

@LaserCapsI have started with Finasteride and topical Minoxidil couple weeks ago. The HT industry seems to have conflicting opinions on PRP and laser though. I will consider prp may be. I have uploaded the donor area pic.

Hey guys. I am currently just trying to get an idea of the number of grafts for my case. I am not planning to do HT in a year or so as i have started on Medications few weeks back. Just trying to get an idea of how much I require at my current state. (The current picture has hair length of nearly 2.5 cm). The crown in the last pic looks a bit more thin than usual because i just applied minoxidil to it before uploading. So it's a bit wet.

Transplant is done in between follicles having enough space between. Most good hair transplants which include the density as well as the asthetic appearance is a combination of finasteride and hair transplant. So yes medications+ HT will definitely improve the overall appearance if and if only the hair follicles are not thinned to a point finasteride can't thicken.

@Eugenix Hair SciencesI understand but finasteride can loose it's efficacy over time and since he is young he might have to come for a second HT but hopefully finasteride works long for him. Nonetheless great results as expected from the team.

I honestly of the opinion PRP is mostly hit or miss. It doesn't work in a lot of people. While there are few who benifit from it. PRP doesn't have enough scientific backing supporting as to whether it actually fastens the process of hair transplant. But as Eugenix mentioned it does help in providing necessary growth factors which definitely can improve the thickness of your existing hairs only if you respond to the treatment.

@trynagetaHTYou started too late honestly. At NW4 there is much medications can do. Also if you progressed to NW5 in two years even after taking medications and still considering a HT then definitely wait and try dutasteride may be. Getting a HT when your hairloss isn't getting controlled by DHT blockers is only adding to the injury.
