Very true. Further if the individual has any amount of hair on the scalp that could block UV rays there is going to be an obvious discoloration from scalp to forehead. Anyone that has shaved their head down can easily see the whiteness of a scalp vs forehead or neck post shaving. I can pull up a close up photo of skin on my arm and see small tracks of white tracing through possibly hyper pigmented skin. Could probably do it on any part of my body. I think the point is can pores from hair follicles been seen even if they are not producing hair on the scalp.

Op had a history of suggesting LPP in many other posts if the thread even indicates an itching on the scalp, why I’m not sure.  Suggesting a rather rare form of alopecia can be very alarming perhaps even misleading, even though I’m sure his intentions are good. However, getting scalp checked by a derm seems it should be standard ops before getting a HT which is probably the best take from this entire post.

Regardless, I have random itches all over my body all day long I scratch and they go away, including my scalp. S$&t I’ve got one right now even🤷‍♂️. Since I comb my hair and don’t care to mess it up so much I just press and release as palpitation also over whelms the nerve registering the itch.

Interesting yes I was worried because I’m noticing thinning but my head also itches sometimes throughout the day randomly(probably when I think about it) but also sometimes tingles/burns after showers so I assumed I have this. Which I might but I will get a check regardless. Wonder how common it is

  2. Interesting this needs to be more known. I bet a higher percentage of people have it than any number could guess. Even when I look it up not much is discussed about it. So thinning eyebrows and all day scalp itching is the major symptoms? I feel I deal with both. My dermatologist doesn’t seem to examine my hair very hard but I will call to be on the safe side. I am thinning more so it could be a reason why. Is there a cure for this?

I’m happy with the scar. FUT procedures leave a scar like that. It is smaller and cleaner than the one I got from the guy in Florida. I can have it down to a 5 and it not be noticeable. To avoid posting the same stuff over and over, go back to my January Post and I have a ruler right on the scarring for you to see. Maybe you can plan on a FUE procedure to place some hair in the scar

Did Dr wong bring up potentially fue filling in the scar or never a question?

It's 12 days shy of the year mark and things are very good.  They've definitely continued to improve since my last post in terms of how easy the hair is to style and just overall seems a tiny bit thicker.  Thanks again to this forum for leading me in the right direction.

Looks awesome brother! Any photos of the scar and how that has healed?

Thiago Bianco can plant over 100/cm2 according to him.  I’ve seen a case of Konior do the same (the patient complained about the result being very unnaturaly dense).  My HT was between 75 and 81 fu/cm2 (counted at multiple spots).

I would not trust just any surgeon to do this.  Too high a density done badly can = loss of grafts or even necrosis at the worst case.

And the vast majority of people will never need nor should they be recommended anything above 65 imo.

Oh no I agree I do not want that high…due to future balding. But I also don’t like cases that you can see the scalp. To me 50-65 is a good sweet spot so was curious which docs on this forum are even in that range! Dr Bianco will be who I go to last when I am done with Hts thoguh! Very solid work

Is your scalp dry? Are you using conditioner?

I’d assume it is somewhat dry. I notice small white flakes in the magnified mirror but my head doesn’t itch or anything. I do use conditioner every time I shampoo which is 3 times a week. Days I don’t shampoo I wet my hair

Thanks @Steeeve, that's helpful. I feel like my hair in the whole donor area (not just right next to the strip), is coarser/thinner than normal, if you compare to my pre-op photos. Is that common? Trying to be patient but also want to know if it's not healing as expected

Well nothing can be done now you just have to be patient but I’m certain it will improve In a couple months.
