  1. Cheers Rafael! Appreciate it looks a bit odd while the crown grows in, but each month brings new growth and it is becoming less Friar Tuck looking! I was always aware it would be the case with how I approached the the two sittings, but equally I have no regrets doing it this way, hopefully another 2/3 months will all look undetectable. Temple wise I know what you mean, one looks a bit more convex than the other, but honestly i'm over the moon with them, being a NW 7 have such temples is a dream to me!
  2. Month 11 Update Checking in with month 11 update (month 4 for the crown). Delighted with the front and to be honest I don’t expect any more improvement to come now. The crown has started to take off this past couple of weeks, but is a slower process compared to front. Though I see plenty of growth and it is very early days, I have a tiny reservation I may need a touch up in the lower crown area, just above my donor area, a similar situation to Melvin. The grafts implanted on the side corridors are also popping through and making a difference, I can now style my hair and have a natural looking side part. I’m over the moon with everything and delighted to see the crown growth starting. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t feeling a bit of hair greed kicking in, especially as I still a 2k grafts in my donor left and 4k+ beard grafts.
  3. Cheers for the shout Stewart! The work looks very clean! Looking forward to see this growing in. The subtle improvement to the hairline and temples by Dr Soumesh will go a long way in giving you a natural and fulfilling result! Now the for the toughest part to begin... The waiting game!
  4. Man Eugenix resurrected your scalp so hard! I also think we owe you a lot thanks too, with being one of the first people on the HRN (way back in 2019) who posted there journey with Eugenix. You was the first person who started the paradigm shift of belief that with beard and scalp hair, a NW6+ can be restored!. Also cool looking at your last sitting, its almost identical to mine with the graft placement on the lateral humps and crown area. Keep us updated, will be following this thread for sure!
  5. Night and day difference Melvin!! I agree that perhaps a few more grafts in the crown (with a focus on the lower crown area) will seal the deal and eliminate the need for any fibres. To be honest I do think you actually have good coverage in there right now, it is just a case that your scalp/skin contrast possibly not doing the result justice. The temples and hairline are just flawless too.. they're a work of art! On a final note, want to express my gratitude for these monthly update vids, helped keep my sanity, especially with my crown growth by having them to benchmark against!
  6. I would say you look bang on the money for 4.5 months, very similar position to me. I had a grafts implanted on my lateral humps and parts during my second sitting, which are now starting to make a big difference, I think this will be very much the case for you too, as you prepare for sitting number two. Retrograde-wise I would worry about it too much, a good fade cut can conceal it. You are on the meds so any progression will have slowed right down.
  7. I would say grow your donor out too. Sometimes when buzzed gives the illusion of a poor donor (very much the case with me). I would also say get back on finasteride asap, I was a NW7 and it did really helped with my donor area. I would also reach out to an ethical clinic who specialises high norwood cases like Eugenix. The fact you have never had a surgery before makes me think you do have a chance, for example look at @garcimore75case they pulled near 3600 grafts from the scalp with what looked like a poor donor. I'll go out on a limb and say if you willing to give your beard up under the right clinic you have a shot at hair restoration (providing you have realistic expectations)
  8. Looking good for two months, lots of early growth! Defo having flash backs to my own journey looking at your hair coming in!
  9. Looking great Karl for peak ugly ducking especially. Going to be great summer for you when all comes to fruition!
  10. Work looks super clean, glad everything went well! Those soft hairs implanted on your hairline are going to make a huge difference along with density. Will be following your result for sure, happy growing!
  11. I spoke with Dr Sethi about widows peaks during my second sitting planning sessions, as I wanted one. His view is that widows peaks generally are more suited to dudes with more rounder foreheads. I had a very flat forehead structure and he felt that I would not suit a widows peak.
  12. Wow super impressed with the level of research you did, you are going to reap the rewards for sure. Dr Sethi consistently does a great job of using lower graft numbers and covering more ground, a testament to his artistic ability. Also 550 grafts in each temple - is incredible, along with your new hairline these are going to roll back the years! Just amazes me how he can just knock temple peaks out the park for fun! Good luck and happy growing, ill be following closely!
  13. Thank you! The beard extractions are completely undetectable, I can both clean shave and grow without any detection.
  14. Your hair is looking great mate! Cant wait to see how the second pass unfolds
  15. Cheers Man. Yeah very slow growing in crown, especially when you compare to where I was at month 3 in the front. Yeah my beard grafts tend to pop through first which are much darker, was very much the case for the front, but all seems to blend in nicely once the scalp grafts pop through.
  16. Dr Sethi wanted to address the retrograde alopecia areas just behind the temples. He felt by adding grafts into these areas it would enable the temples to nicely blend into the non-transplanted zone. the area circled in black is where he placed the grafts.
  17. Cheers bud! I'm working on month 8 before I see any credible progress in the crown (i'm going off Melvin's timeline). I also had another 100 grafts just behind each temple, which i'm sure is going to make a big difference to when they grow in too.
  18. Cheers Karl. A lot of my motive in sharing this journey stems from being told I was lost cause by certain docs.
  19. Thanks Adrian mate! There is only one NW7 Goat and i'm replying to him in this post!
  20. Month 10 Update Happy new year all! Thought I would change things up for the month 10 update and share photos in harsher outdoor lighting. I’m pleased with the overall density of the results so far and even under the toughest lighting conditions i.e. outdoors, it still gives the appearance of a relatively fullish-looking head of hair for the front and mid-scalp which I am delighted with. Crown-wise I am now at month 3, and still not a huge amount to report, I can certainly tell this is going to be a lot slower growing than the front, but that’s common knowledge I suppose. The implanted hairs into the side corridors on the second sitting are also starting to come through. All in all very happy to date and sometimes have to remind me of my starting position. Very much a working project, however I am hoping to be one of the lucky higher norwoods who are done in two sitting.
  21. 100%. If I had shared picture pre-transplant on here too i’m sure most would have told me I wasn't a candidate. What I takeaway is that it very hard to assess donors on photos and especially more so for those who's hair is fair/blonde as scalp/hair contrast is very low.
  22. I think my donor must look poor on first glance. When I first arrived at Eugenix Dr P and Dr A thought they would only get 2700 grafts from scalp. It was only when they dyed my donor black and shaved it down, they realised it was actually good. I distinctly remember the senior tech who was doing the punching calling for Dr Pradeep and Arika as he was shocked how well the donor was looking and thought he could go much higher with scalp grafts. As a result the plan changed mid-surgery and pradeep lowered the hairline to 8cm. Going back to your point about being rejected by forum recommended docs, I think it has a lot to do with my donor looking poor on first appearance. I saw Dr Wong in London 2019 and he flat out rejected me for surgery, saying I didn't have enough donor to supply the recipient to warrant a cosmetic procedure. Also worth adding that Eugenix’s donor management possibly allow donors to pushed a bit further, given they seem to have the extraction patterns nailed to a tee, so its possible the 7585 lifetime graft amount is a little higher under Eugenix’s docs, than maybe at other clinic.
