  1. Only took the pics in the car to highlight the work on the temples from the second procedure, as the front is well established. There is a video comb through which is on JT's youtube if you want a better look which i did a few months back.
  2. Unreal Stew! I know your a very modest guy, but honestly mate is an incredible transformation from where your started early this year!
  3. Agree with Melvin, try and take dutasteride if you can. Your hairs are probably really sensitive to DHT, so if you use the Dut to nuke the dht your on to a winner. I've just recently just started swapping my Sunday dose of finasteride for 0.5mg of Dut on the recommendation of @MazAB and seems to paying off for me. Hopefully over the next year, I am going to make the full transition to Dut.
  4. Thanks man! Yeah, I take Finsateride. Yeah all 2500 BHT grafts came from the beard. Dr Pradeep recons he could still take 2k more beard grafts without changing the cosmetic appearance . If i'm willing to loose the beard who knows maybe another 3-4k (my beard is quite desnse). In terms of healing the beard completely healed in 3-4 days and the scarring is undetectable to the eye
  5. 18 Month update Well, it’s more of a 19 month update, but very pleased with how the crown is looking (which is at 12 months). Beard hair has started to blend in well with the crown hair. Though I’m really happy with the crown, I do think 700 grafts would really improve things here and seal the deal. I will probably do another procedure early next year, to finish things off. Also, the work to improve my temples on the second procedure has paid off too. Feels like I’m almost complete with the hair restoration journey, hard to believe that just over 18 months ago I was a bona fide Norwood 7!
  6. Id say Dr Pradeep Sethi if you need to use body hair from multiple sources (beard, chest pubes ect). But not sure on wait times.
  7. What a write up! Man, you’ve been to hell and back (and then some more). You’re honestly one of the most positive people i’ve ever met. Trust me 99% of men would have just thrown the towel, but you have kept your perseverance to find the right solution. The change in your persona from that time when we first met is radiating. The success of the 1st Eugenix HT has just given you so much confidence and has put the biggest smile on your face. You have so much to look forward to mate and cant wait to see how this looks in 12 months!
  8. Dude just watch the vid. The guy has existing hair and then had over 8k grafts which didn't even cover fully cover the the front mid scalp. His brachycephalic skull needed an insane amount of grafts! Draw your own conclusions but there are people with skull shapes which require insane amounts of grafts and the video I shared being one of them.
  9. Those who have a dolichocephalic skull shape will need much less grafts compared to someone who has a brachycephalic skull shape. This explains why some people can get full coverage from 6k grafts, while others need 14k+ grafts. In math terms if you divide the width of the head by the length and times by 100, you get a "Cephalic Index" the lower this number to more likely you can achieve full coverage with less grafts and the reverse for a higher index number.
  10. Sensible plan doing FUT then FUE then BHT, but not always necessary to do this and you find that most of the surgeons who specialise in high norwoods dont even offer FUT. i'm sure if your willing to give up your beard, to support FUE in your donor then there is probably a good cosmetic improvement to be had. You need a doctor who specialises in high norwoods and confident on transplanting beard hair - which narrows it down to Eugenix and Pitella.
  11. Incredible! 2023 Hall of Fame result. Very pleased for you. Dr Zarev is a wizard.
  12. Yeah over the moon, really had a positive impact across many aspects of my life. Thank you so much man! It still blows my mind to be able to have this hair. Although I must admit I think your result is probably up there as one the best i've ever seen. I'm not too sure what it was with the beard hair on the mid-scalp (SLA makes a very good comment on the growth cycle), but now im a month on from when I originally posted this comment, I think what probably was the issue that I was noticing was that the beard hair had started to change texture and become less wiry, with it both now looking and feeling more like like a scalp hair. Reason I noticed was when I feel my crown which is 11 months post-transplant (with a lot of beard hair) it is much more wiry in texture, then compared with my mid-scalp which is 19 months post transplant, where the hair there feels much softer and relaxed. I do think i'll probably need a third sitting next year to nail down the density in the mid-scalp and crown.
  13. When I see implantation in rows/columns to me this comes across as the surgeon is taking a scientific approach over an artistic approach. I think these results will come out good, but will just maybe lack that artistic flare. H&W arent the only top clinic doing this approach, I have seen cases by Dr Bisanga using a similar graft arrangement. TBH I dont think it will make a huge difference so long as the angles are good. Implanting in rows also requires more grafts, so in higher norwood cases where you need to get good mileage then an artistic approach will almost be more beneficial. I take Dr Konior work as a good example due to his artistic flair he gets so much more coverage from less grafts.
  14. Month 17 Update The crown is now at 10 months, again still noticing improvements, I’ve included some photos of the crown combed forwards and also slicked back, which helps gives an illusion of a full head of hair. For the front im a month of the final ’18 month result’, although I feel that I have experienced a bit of a reduced density the past month, which I am owning to the anagen desynchronization kicking in (I thought I had dodged this as I cruised past month 15 milestone). It is hard to illustrate, and something which I have only noticed by running my hands through my hair, but something which feels more apparent in the mid-scalp area where I had lots of beard hair implanted.
  15. It's very hard to determine what is a safe zone. In my situation, though a Norwood 7, I could take the view there would be no further progression of hair loss as my final pattern is firmly established. But because I went bald so young there is a chance (albeit small) that my sides could dip as I got older. Now If I were to take the totally risk-adverse approach and only extract grafts from the 'guaranteed' safe zone, I would probably only have enough grafts for a hairline (and would be pointless even contemplating hair restoration). So to allow me to utilise my full donor area, I take out an insurance policy in the form of Finasteride, to protect the area outside of the 'guaranteed' safe zone from the small chance it could be susceptible to further hairloss. Now should there by any sign of hair loss progression own the line (as we know fin only slows down hair loss) there is a an acceptance from me I would have to jump on Dutasteride.
  16. I found the five nights of post-op sleeping after I had my crown/lower crown done was difficult. I recommend you get a travel pillow and put it at the end of your bed and lie down with your head slightly hanging off the bed (the lower the grafts in the crown area, the more uncomfortable the sleep gets lol). In the grand scheme though it's just Short term pain.. for long term gains 💪
  17. Work looks super clean and I think the OP will have a great result. But I have to agree I think Dr Pitella uses way too many grafts! I'm not convinced the approach of blitzing the beard and scalp all in one sitting is wise for NW7's. I find myself asking the question if this was the best approach then why wouldn't Eugenix routinely do it, given they have resource and capability to transplant these numbers. Looking forward to seeing a few of the Dr Pitella review at 12 months, 18 months post op.
  18. Cheers Ali mate! Was a pleasure catching up with you as always! Yours are phenomenal results, especially for six months. Thanks Karl! Really happy with how the beard has come off in my transplant. Nothing beats scalp hair, but nice to know beard is doing a good job and like you said plenty more in the coffers for the future. Hoping for another 1k scalp grafts in the crown possibly next year to seal the deal for me. Thank you Armen my man! Thank you man! Congratulations on your imminent arrival, please don't get too stressed about the crown, it will all get sorted in due course. On the plus note you are going have no time to think about the crown area with a newborn! They ain't newborns forever, so i'm sure you will be there soon. I did my 1st transplant when my child was around 9 months and worked fine!
  19. Thanks you Adam! Agreed, especially with the slickback style, i can pull off a full looking head of hair.
  20. Man this has come on so good the past month! Still have a good six months more of improvement to come to. You have got some good mileage from the 1.8k grafts used!
