  1. Thanks Melvin. Just need get that hair long enough to get the old illusion to kick in!
  2. Cheers Myles, appreciate the kind words.. . you & me both will be rocking that quiff this summer!
  3. Month 1 Update Nothing really to update , in the full-blown ugly duckling stage at the moment. I’ve opted to just let the hair keep growing, to get it back to the length where the illusion of density kicks in. I‘m certainly finding the recovery from this transplant a lot harder than the previous two, which is probably down to the fact I was enjoying having hair, and this feels like a big step back to go forward. From what I can gather most of the shed seems to have happened. With the hair from the previous two transplants is growing in. Lots of redness from the procedure lingering, which will likely take a few months to calm down. The donor is also going through the motions and I’m just trusting the process that it will recover. Also the beard surprisingly looks ok, given there has been over 3.6k grafts taken.
  4. Generally a court would apply the black & white litmus test of 'did the patient leave the clinic in a worse way than they arrived'.
  5. Here is a snippet from their website, which is frighting. I'm also perplexed that the OP was quoted £2500 for 500 grafts,
  6. This made me laugh hard! Ill have to wait for the graft cloning before I can approach Fabio territory. But in all seriousness, you are a really educated patient and have some realistic expectations. Its a really interesting case, because I haven't seen many SMP + FUE combos, but if your 7-day post-shed pics are anything to go off, this is going to be a solid improvement. As @SLA mentioned this is far from a failure, you have a lot to look forward to. As a fellow NW7, you really have to be in the hair restoration for the long run, and there is always the prospect of more procedures. However, with the SMP you have a solid foundation and will be able to buzz down and have the a full looking 3D effect, which takes the stress out of undertaking multiple procedures.
  7. This is really upsetting to read. You should seek legal counsel, you have a strong medical negligence claim. as a minimum I would seek damages for the cost of a repair by a competent surgeon. I would also report this to General Medical Council, as there is strong lack of confidence in this surgeons ability to perform hair restoration. Sadly, you have been used as a guinea pig by this doctor to practise on. Keep strong mate, you are in the right community here, and you will be well advised to get this fixed.
  8. I actually asked Dr Pradeep about this, as I was considering having my Surgery done in Mumabi. I believe that both the doctors and techs rotate between the three clinics, with Delhi being their main base.
  9. I had a dental implants fitted about six weeks after my 1st transplant, which included x-rays. Didn't have any issue with graft survival. However, you should always run past your doctor/dentist. I remember my dentist telling me once that a dental xray radiation exposure is similar to that you would get on a long haul flight.
  10. Nice early growth happening! Showing the making of a top result!
  11. You must have a very good donor! My 10 cents worth.. I do think you should take a DHT blocker like finasteride. You still have a ton of native hair which needs protecting, you dont want to run the risk of the native midcalp thinning out and having a very dense surrounding transplanted area, which would could give the appearance of a diffuse thinning pattern.
  12. Looking great Adam, good early improvement happening between month 3 & 4, showing all the makings of being a killer result! Never actually appreciated how good that cowlick is on you hairline is, until I saw this update. BTW If you wanted to take edge off the slow growing crown, you could even start to throw a few fibres in there. But keep hanging in there, the fun will start soon!
  13. Wow, now that is dense! Are you on meds? Also are the 7k grafts all from the scalp, or did you use beard? No doubt this going to look amazing once all grown in. Happy growing and please keep us updated.
  14. The point i'm making is actually irrespective of hair yield. There are certain surgeons, who can very skilfully make the amount of grafts go further, with Dr Konior being the classic example of this. So what i'm trying to say... compare Dr Reddy vs an average Hair Mill surgeon, both implant 2k grafts (both with a 99+% yield), i'm saying that Dr Reddy results would have more coverage, because of skilfully being able to determine the minimum amount of grafts required to conceal the scalp. From your posted response from Dr Reddy, i'm not convinced that he is getting a 100% higher yield than a less experienced surgeon who uses forceps over choi implanter pens. On face value it appears an exaggerated claim.
  15. i believe it is more to do with being able to skilfully assess & place the minimum amount of grafts required to conceal the scalp.
  16. Similar to Dr Konior, I find that Dr Reddy can get a lot mileage from the grafts, 2k grafts from him can be the equivalent of 3k+ grafts from another surgeon. So in this sense I see him as value for money. If you are no higher than a NW3, i;d say he is a solid choice, a very underrated surgeon imho.
  17. Tylenol is a life long medication for people with chronic Pain. Anyways back your original point, why is the forum so pro meds..,, because this is a hair loss forum and it's the best weapon we have against hair loss.
  18. No drug is risk free. If you looked at the side effects of Paracetamol/Tylenol you would be spooked. Finasteride has been used for decades, as a treatment for enlarged prostates and hair loss, so there should be long term studies available. If it was unsafe, i'm sure we would have seen some horror stories 40 years on. Taking medication though should always be based on an informed decision. I feel a tad emotive towards this, as I was scared to take the medication based on scaremongering stories, as a consequence I went slick bald, when the reality was I could tolerate the medication just fine.
  19. Think its wise advise to take if your are NW 6/7 in you 20/30s. Balding young runs a much higher risk of continued progression of hair loss inc thinning into the donor. Also NW6 can lose their sides and progress into NW7. If you are a NW7 in your 40/50s I guess there is less of need to take. But by that time us men will probably be on finateride for our enlarged prostates anyway 🤣
  20. Insane result already - with loads more to come. Zarev is a magician! Feel you on that restaurant lighting, it's like an interrogation spotlight! Add supermarket lighting on to that list too!
  21. Maybe - I'm not convinced i've been a super responder to it, who has re-grown or thickening. But I guess it's hard to tell, as i've gone through three procedure since commencing it. I'm just using it as an insurance against any donor thinning, which may or may not happen.
  22. Cheers Mate - From my observations, the 7 day result, is a good indicator of how it would look shaved in 12 months time.
  23. Day 7 – Update Most of the scabs have come off. Now bracing for the upcoming shed. Similar to my 1st sitting, the implanted areas look a little red, and expect this to take a few months to subside. Happy with the hairline, it will soften up when the slow-growing hairs, grow in. Everything looks very similar to my 7-day post-op after my first sitting (which I’m taking as a reassuring sign).
  24. Man, what a pleasure it was to hang out with you! Just a shame we didn't have longer I'm sure our paths will cross again soon and we can have some more fun (and hopefully less surgery!). Your result is even more immense in the flesh mate!
