  1. I do regret it everyday. Before losing hair I couldn't really be bothered about money so my plan was to go back to my country after getting a degree abroad. After losing it Saddly it became my priority to lift this so called slaphead curse out of my head. Which is why I staid abroad instead of returning home because I couldn't bear the shame of showing my face to friends in this state. So it has been 8 years since then, I will go for surgery and hopefully address these concerns for good.
  2. Cant see any hair loss, in fact would "kill" just to get the amount of hairs you got at your age.
  3. Honestly you look better then me so chances are you will get a very good result with a good doctor. De Freitas defo seems like a good option in your scenario, your density is also very good and you arent in a high level of norwood yet. I also agree with Archan, 1500 would be minimal, maybe you can max it up to 2000? but surely somewhere within this range.
  4. Agreed, those three are a good batch for people with zero to no hair around those areas I think. In Op's case he only needs to get a bit of the front fixed. I think he is likely to respond well regardless of his choice. I have seen some exceptional results from De Freitas in diffuse thinners though, some of them mind boggling if you just go and look around the spanish forums.
  5. I feel the same as I was undecided between my big 3 choices. Since my norwood is a little bit highly diffused (NW5A) I felt like De Freitas was the best option moving forward, he also seems to be able to cover a lot of ground with lesser grafts contrary to many doctors and from what I have heard he aint afraid to go out of his way and do extra grafts to make the patient happy if feasible. I also need the hairline to be reconstructed and he is the best there is in my case alongside the fact that he presents himself well in treating patients with similar hairtypes such as my own. That being told there is no shame in waiting a little bit and analyising your options, chose the doctor that you feel mostly comfortable with and go ahead. I know from experience that the choice of the doctor is the hardest since there are lots of them to chose from the big names mentioned here, at some point you will need to go with your gut. Good luck.
  6. I know techs perform extractions while De Freitas makes the implantations, not sure about Feriduni.
  7. I mean, its a genuine question and I fully understand his concearn since some clinics require you X days without sexual activity. Since he is 9 days post op I doubt it would even influence a tiny bit of it as usually the period for the grafts to be anchored go from 7 to 10 days. That being said, even if he did it imediatly post transplant unless in the "proccess" he touched the grafts on to anything it would have 0 impact.
  8. You have nothing to worry about man, looks great!
  9. Yeah true, he would end up paying the max value. Inflation always sucks. I can understand it to be a pain especially if you live a country with lower currencies then euro he would be out of your reach. I think my case was actually over 2.8 to 2.9 since I am going in for 3000 grafts for 8.5k. I remember very well having people telling me to book him while he wasn't raising his prices higher since both Bruno Ferreira and Pinto had already done that. I am glad I did in due time since he seems to be one of the best out there and for the price it was quite a steal back then.
  10. Wasn't it 3.5 till 2500 grafts or something then 2.5(ish) after that? I think he was one of the most affordable top doctors around the time I booked. Maybe he upped his prices recently giving his increasing popularity.
  11. Yes, howeaver havent got the studies atm since I reesearched it on the fly. I have seen incidences of people around forums and reddit that claimed that their hairs werent falling during their post op period, some of them even getting paranoid over the fact that their hairs werent shedding as they were supposed to. These were a very small number so I would count them as anecdotal cases since its possible that they shed it later after posting. Most of the people from almost every single case though seem to point out that there is always shock loss which may extend to native hair if the grafts get implanted in between or near them. Howeaver I am curious aswell to see if there is any more in debt case of someone who had smooth sailing since day 1 and didnt shed a graft.
  12. From the reesearch I have done over 90% or more patients should expect it, howeaver there seems to have been a small incidence of people being able to fully grow out their hair after the transplant without shedding it first. This seems to be rare as its mostly seen as the exception and not the rule.
  13. With the amount of hair you have you should be able to do that. No HT is able to restore the density back to what it was but if you let it grow longer from both sides it should give you a considerable amount of layering density to make it look like you dont have any loss. You may want to push it back but honestly it looks just fine from the pics you showed. It is still your call howeaver but always remember that surgery is usually the last resort for any patient.
  14. Great review, curious for the photos. The communication part kind of sucks when you don't understand what the doctor is saying, fortunately this shouldn't be a problem in my case since he's fluent in my mother tongue (portuguese) so I hope I can do a bit better in that regard. I shouldn't really need a translator to communicate since I should be able to fully understand him, this is one of the reasons why I felt it to be important to chose a doctor that speaks portuguese. It helps alot in getting the right ideas for the op. PS: Booked for June so not long to go.
  15. Sethi from eugenix and Bicer seem to be a good fit, also Pittela and Hattingen. De Freitas, Couto, Pinto and Ferreira also come to mind but they may require 2 spaced interventions.
  16. I am also a NW5 (albeit a diffused one) but your case seems a lot much agressive then mine. I would really be cautious on your choices here because as you mentioned you are heading towards a NW6 and have a lot to cover on the frontal and crown section. Probably something around 5k grafts would be the minimum required to have an acceptable level of coverage which would require you to chose someone who does high norwoods. I would honestly up the budget a little because you can still get a decent result in case you chose a top tier clinic.
  17. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I wouldn't go near a HT clinic in your place, that's the best advise I can give you man. Grow it out and rock a shoulder hair lenght hairstyle.
  18. Great to see another de Freitas Journey. Work looks super clean and you should have some good growth. I am booked for a surgery in June with him.
  19. Thanks. I am planning to rock out a Eddie Munson hairstyle in a year if everything goes well.😆
  20. You're lucky to need to have started by then because I was already thinning in my 18s and by the time I was in my 21 already agressively diffused to a NW5. It sucks to have passed my 20s away from the crowds because of this curse. I intend to end this suffering by the end of this year when I go to surgery. As Kino from "Andor" would say, "there is only one way out".
  21. I would have defo started meds early and spare myself the headache of having surgery. The "just shave it bro" is simply just not an option in my book.
  22. Medication is better in maintaining then regrowing, howeaver it is likely that you get some regrowth as part of taking it though. Everyone responds differently but I feel that you have enough of a hairline to rock it over for the rest of your life to be honest. If you start it early and commit to it forever you get hair for life, as simple as that. I would start Finasteride first though and if you still feel like you would like a little bit more add Minoxidil on the second.
  23. Waaaaaaaaaay to early, get on Meds and reaccess. You seem to still have a good head of hair, dont waste your time on trying to chase your baldness with transplants alone.
  24. I just feel like its better to know when the time comes to get it done rather then do it on the fly or having the so called "period" in which you dont know if you are gona go or not. This allows me to plan for the trip and prepare myself mentally and physically. Besides, I am going with a family member on the trip so its not only dependant on my own schedulle but also his.
  25. You should name the clinic if you can, this aint normal for 6 months result. At this point I can only feel for you because I dont think it can get much better...
