  1. I guess that's why for us in NW V (diffused not 100% gone) it's easier to get thrilled with less then most. To be fair I have been stumbling with a receding hairline for a long time and I miss my long hair. So what I am planning to do is to at least be able to restore it to the point where I have enough to conceal it while long under shoulder length and ensure that the minimum level of density is reached. I can always add volumizers and other hair care products to enhance the transplant as well. I don't really mind the ocasional bald spots as I was used to having then back in the day and never made much of it so long as I can reach the minimum goal. Maybe consider extensions past a certain point though I am aware that the maintenance may come with a price. After that I will likely move on with my life and do the things I want to do.
  2. Good call. Oral Minox is certainly a solution and something you can easily try as its more potent then the topical version, obviously consult with a doctor. I kind of regret not starting it earlier but will as soon as I am done with my surgery.
  3. You should listen to the doc who told you to get on Meds. You still have a lot of hair and could very easily maintain (even regrow) with Finasteride and Minoxidil. I would start Finasteride and try it for a year, if not enough add Minoxidil. If at the end of the second year you are still unhappy then Id consider surgery. Hair Loss is a commitement, you need to start fighting it early to maximize your chances for a good result and the drugs you take you need to be willing to commit to them for life.
  4. We got a similar pattern so I do agree that you would likely need over 4000 to 4500k max. But its best to just split it in two. Focus on the front for your first intervention then you go for the back. While you wait for your results in the front you can always go for Oral Minoxidil/Dutasteride to see if you can strenghten the crown area.
  5. Honestly basing solely on the two pics you shared your hair seems to be quite dense. Like @Gatsby said don't be discouraged for not seeing progress on Finasteride for 6 months. You will usually see the max benefits in two years and Oral Minoxidil will certainly help you thicken it up and perhaps regrow a bit.
  6. I wouldn't advise either. Turkey has Bicer, Gur, Turan and Pekiner. These are the names you should be looking at if that's were you want to go. Yaman is another option.
  7. I never said he was always using them for implantation but there has been a patient example here in which he did use from the third day in longer sessions which is different. Also, there is a price table from different surgeons made by another user telling that the techs do perform implantations. I am not sure how accurate this info is but i only based this off from what one of the patients spoke off in this forum.
  8. If you like him then contact the clinic, schedulle a pointment and see what they have to tell you.
  9. Results are ultimately what counts and he has been knocking them off quite well for his hairtypes. I dont mind if Techs perform extractions so long as they know what they are doing but the implantation is the most challenging and important part of the surgery imo and its vital that the doctor alone is there to perform it but again its just my preference.
  10. No, from what I have seen he uses techs for extractions (which is fine) and implants by himself. Howeaver sometimes when there is a 3 day surgery he has techs performing the implantation aswell on the third day.
  11. Yeah I feel the same from Couto. He delivers exceptionally when it comes to medium to corse types but I have seen very little examples of more challenging cases with finer hair patients then I have seen from De Freitas. One of the things I am not a fan of is that there are moments in which techs perform implantations, now I know everyone has his/her own style, I just prefer it that docs usually do the implantations proccess by themselves to the very least. Needless to say though that he is still a top notch doctor and is on the top category.
  12. Another important thing to consider is the hair type that each doctor works best with. For example Couto and De Freitas are known to excel with medium, darker hair types while doctors such as Ferreira may offer other type of speciality with other types such as finer and blond. It's not uncommon for some doctors to reject certain patients based on this factor either and can't blame them for it.
  13. Yeah, proof of that is that companies such as Manual or Sons already started selling it online so its just a matter of time.
  14. I feel like its becoming more and more comonly prescribed by the doctors for a reason. I was on the same position a few months back but the recent feedback I have been seeing here among other places made me reconsider.
  15. The weak side doesn't seem too bad. I think you are in for a great result. I also like how oral min seems to have helped you getting some early gains, makes me confident and provides me further reassurance that it's the right call starting it after my surgery in the upcoming days. I also hope to get those thick eyelashes. It's a side effect I would certainly welcome.
  16. Definitely try Finasteride. Give it a year to see how you respond. If you maintain alone add Minoxidil after 12 months. 21 is way too young for a surgery, worse then that you are diffusing in a NW V pattern. You must first see how you respond to meds before you can even think about surgery.
  17. In a way I am glad that I listened to many of the bad reviews I have seen from turkish hairmills all those years back. I just feel sorry for all those people who get butchered by them and can't find their way back. Its a brutal reality. Hopefully OP can get away with a decent result to the very least.
  18. Even in harsh daylight it doesn't really look that you had a surgery at all. This is peak delivery even more so for just 4 months. Usually I am always a bit scared of +3500 grafts in one go and a lot of "poor results" around here coincidentally were through these numbers but you aren't just an early grower but a great responder to the procedure itself. As long as you keep taking meds I think you are set for life.
  19. Don't fall for marketing shills, there's loads of them ready to make money out of your desesperation.
  20. It is but you should get checked ASAP by a derm to see if you have AGA or not. If you do you can start Finasteride, and if it isnt enough to regrow you can always jump in to Minoxidil which will stimulate your folicles to regrow. I would still advise you to take action now and not brush this off like I did in my early days. Prevention always beats remediation, especially when it comes to hair loss.
