  1. I honestly would forget getting a HT in Turkey. You've clearly gone about this the wrong way. Fact is 95% of clinics there will butcher you and your risking an awful result. You need to go back to basics and research surgeons themselves, get multiple consultations, actually speak with the doctor, then make a shortlist. You cannot rush something that will affect you lifelong. There are a couple of decent surgeons in Turkey but most of them do NOT have your interests at heart and just run a money making scheme
  2. Have you thought much about FUT or FUE? Konior is almost guaranteed to recommend FUT in your case
  3. Interesting. There's something to be said for propylene glycol irritating the scalp rather that DHT. Either way, it really sounds worth trying a topical finasteride rcompounded properly rather than jumping into 'alternatives'. You also need to give it a proper 6 months. If after then you haven't lost more hair, that is an absolute win. The vast majority of issues with topical finasteride is that it still causing systemic issues rather than effectiveness. For some however, topical very much does reduce systemic absorption enough for people to avoid side effects
  4. Just because a device is shrouded in secrecy doesnn't mean it's anything novel. Dr. Zarev is is simply a master at extracting micro FUE, across the whole scalp while preserving the appearance, and good on him. It really boils down to something that simple
  5. What sticks out to me is when you said you didn't think topical finasteride was working? There's little reason to believe it wouldn't. Can you give specifics?
  6. OP I understand people have limited budgets, and please understand I'm criticising your process rather than you personally. BUT for the love of god, no one should ever be asking: 'What clinic should I go to in Turkey?'. Budgets aside it's crazy to limit yourself to one location. It's even CRAZIER if that one location is a place there 99% of HT clinics have a high chance of butchering, over-harvesting and leaving you with a horrifically unnatural hairline, and that's IF you're lucky enough for it to grow. These places routinely do rushed 5000 graft FUE's by untrained staff, ALL in a way to maximise profit against your best interests. How do they keep getting people? Advertising and Social media that's convince all these victims that Turkey is 'The best place to go'. PLEASE don't be one of those victims COST and LOCATION are the two LAST aspects your need to focus on before finalising your choice. Yes, there are a couple of skilled, ethical surgeons in Turkey, but if you end up going with them, it should NOT be BECAUSE they're in Turkey! As @Gatsby mentioned above, do you your research and save up. You need to have have ZERO doubts in left in your mind before you finalise your choice. Ideally, you'd do this for at least a year. It's also critical learn about treatment to prevent continued loss. From your pictures, you're on track to be at least a Norwood 6. This is advanced level of Baldness, Even with treatment, there's no guarantees you'll stop your hair loss for life. Only an ethical and skilled HT surgeon will provide a sensible, and balanced recommendation. These surgeons are small minority sadly, and the sooner you know this the better. I'm passionate about this because I've been a victim before, however I'm SO thankful it was only a small procedure. This gave me a second chance to go the right way, Yesterday I had my repair surgery with an elite surgeon who mentioned the number of consultations he's had with people overharvested from Hairmills (not only in Turkey), who have broken down in tears from hearing the bitter reality that they cannot be fixed. It's terribly sad this has become the epidemic it has but please don't be one of them. Ignore the advertising / Hype / Testimonials. Do this the smart way and your future self will thank you.
  7. My op is tomorrow haha. It’s an FUT so I’ll do what they recommend
  8. Hasson and Wong do NOT have techs doing incisions.
  9. They increased their pricing recently as all clinics eventually do
  10. What do you mean by Dr Wong wanted to cut your head off?? I'm getting repaired with him next week. Also, thanks for sharing your honest experience about this clinic
  11. A clinic Bering ‘friendly’ does not mean they know what they’re doing.. I was suckered in by a butcher with great bedside manner
  12. Just so you know the hims topical finasteride I could amount of it will go systemic.
  13. Wow.. I get the need to making income from the patients but paying the same price when you might be using less than half the product is kind of ridiculous. I'm talking someone doing MWF instead of daily
  14. There are some pretty insane regrowth cases in MTF transitioning. Definitely the right move to avoid Aus/NZ.. I got butchered by one here
  15. Nice man, I'm also seeing Dr Wong in November. Apparently he's the man for diffuse thinners
  16. Finasteride side effects are not all psychological. Nocebo is real too but that does not mean they're mutually exclusive
  17. As least you're aware that multiple further surgeries are down the line. Other treatments would be minoxidil (especially oral), Ketoconazole, PRP (IF it's from a reputable source. There's a lot of plain 'Money-grabs' out there for this treatment. Apparently Topical Dutasteride is meant to go less systemic than topical fin. Xyon should be releasing a version of that too. There's also Pyrilutamide that can be purchased on the grey market but still has studies to back its safety.
  18. It's very rare for hair loss (especially diffuse thinning) to halt in your early thirties. It's absolutely worth trying topical. There's also modalities of treatment which won't be as robust but something is better than nothing. Looks like fine work either way. I'm having surgery with Dr Wong in November.
  19. Look like great work and the result will be amazing temporarily.. You are on no preventative treatments now? Your existing hair will continue to thin and in time the result won't look very good at all. Did you discuss this with Dr Wong?
  20. I don't know enough about them to comment fairly. Dr Path I know has been around a long time and appears to be well respected by great surgeons
  21. Never heard of any doctor saying to stop using a lasercap in advance of HT
  22. There are tons of Hasson and Wong reviews on this forum. Just search their names. If you're wanting a larger surgery, Hasson and Wong might be better. The waiting list is smaller because they do up to 4 patients per day.
  23. I have one booked for November at Hasson and Wong. My god.. what the one here thinks they can get away with is beyond shameful
  24. Thanks for sharing, based on these, that sounds like a good conservative number. Hopefully those surgeons were all recommended? Make sure to look at their examples being sure their crystal clear, check their hairline designs, are they in keeping with the style you’re hoping to achieve? Read the experiences of former patients. If you’re absolutely confident with more than one surgeon, then you can start factoring in costs and travel. that’s my two cents. I’m New Zealand based and made a big mistake by going somewhere local when the country was locked down. I should have waited.
