  1. Interesting, the market for FUT is pretty niche these days. It's worth mentioning that concern to them to get their thoughts
  2. Do you get Keloid scarring? The scar from FUT does depend a lot on the surgeons skill (no guarantees in surgery ever). Both docs have performed thousands. You might be fine just doing FUE if you're not too advanced and you have a large enough safe zone
  3. You'll want to get consultations with a range of reputable doctors. Some are hesitant to work with diffuse thinning while others are fine with it
  4. They're completely on par skill-wise. Most of the recent results shown are Dr Hasson's as he does more FUE
  5. Ok interesting. If it's been a year it would be worth doing again. I think they still do a fair amount of FUT mainly by Dr Wong which is what I had. If you're past NW3 in your late 20s and stabilised loss I'd be surprised if they wouldn't get a doctor review
  6. Do you know which doctor reviewed your case? I was 28 when I consulted. H&W very much would treat that on an individual basis. Most ethical doctors would be hesitant to operate if a patient is actively losing hair Hattingen (from my understanding) prefer to wait until a patient has lost a significant amount of hair so they can put a solid 'framework' in place?
  7. Xyon is still an seperate entity from Hasson & Wong. The connection is there but the clinic hasn't altered its focus in any way. I haven't seen much of Feriduni's work but Hattingen's FUE does seen on par with their FUT at least from what they've shown. Their philosophy generally recommends to get strip first but I believe they can still start with FUE if preferred and educated about the pros and cons
  8. As a recent patient of H&W I can say that they remain fully equipped for large cases and I they professionalism and care I received was beyond my expectations. The differentiation is not just about about who's better for x,y,z that others, but what approach they would recommend. One Doctor might recommend an FUT megasession and cover the most they can. Another would recommend breaking it up or making use of beard donor. There is a degree of personal preference in this.
  9. This is astounding! Dr Pitella is really defying what many other doctors call impossible. I'm excited to follow this
  10. I haven't noticed any of his results here. Maybe worth asking the clinic if they can put you in touch with a past patient? Some clinics offer that. He seems to be the only notable doctor who's been personally trained by Dr Wong and Hasson
  11. A trichologist isn't a medical term. It's a more informal word for a hair expert with no regulatory body. In medicine, hair falls under the scope of dermatology. Some dermatologists specialise in hair, notably, Prof Rodney Sinclair, or Dr Jerry Shapiro
  12. PG is safe, it can just just skin irritation is some people
  13. At 3 months you’d expect to see nearly nothing. Thats only when you’ll start seeomg the the first ‘signs of life’
  14. I got a nearly 6000 grafts recently via FUT. I have more strip grafts available and the donor looks pristine. My donor is not great in general so it's all about patient selection
  15. That couldn’t possibly be cause by PG. PG is in masses of everyday products applied to the skin for decades and lung problems have never been documented. KB solution may have prevented some systemic absorption of it was in fact caused by RU
  16. I’ve never heard of this as a side effect of finasteride (of which the sides are very well documented). id be surprised if anyone of this forum has had that would be best to talk to your doctor.
  17. Appears to be NW5, but it may go further to NW6. NW7 would be unlikely given your age. On rare occasions it can still happen later but it's very uncommon
  18. Stopping any hair loss treatment minoxidil, finasteride or otherwise can accelerate hair loss. Your hair will simply revert to a state as if you had never taken anything to begin with. A hair transplant is definitely possible for you but unless your loss is stopped or very slowed down, you won’t be a great candidate. You also want to consult with a lot more Than one doctor, and research them all thoroughly. Unfortunately there are many out there who could do you more harm than good in the long run.
  19. Yes, the DHT itch is 100% real. I believe any doctor who dismisses it only does so because it hasn't been studied
  20. Usually this should be a question for the surgeon but in your case I understand! Both of these aren't anything to be concerned about. Some people shed virtually all hairs, others less other times the hairs stay in there dormant until a new hair is ready to grow. At least the grafts are intact and still start producing hair about 3 months onward. The pain in the back would be due to nerve trauma. Usually this doesn't happen but with it must have been poorly done. Nerves can take a long time to heal but they're resilient little things which eventually find their way. This I can speak from experience with a badly done procedure.
  21. Thank you for posting. From your title do you mean to say this was 6500 grafts?
  22. Their topical is legitimate, Happy Head was started by Dr Sean Benham I believe. Many companies have sprung up to cash in on the topical finasteride bandwagon. The fact is the majority of men who opt for topical are those fearful of side effects rather than having actually experienced them. All topical formulations go systemic to a degree but Xyon appear to be only company who have put innovation into reducing the systemic exposure. My two cents are: Try oral first, chances are you'll be fine. If not, go straight to Xyon as that will theoretically give you the best chance at tolerating it (which is meant to be the whole point of topical in the first place).
