  1. Thanks brother. No i didn't take any stem cell therapy session...i have had one prp with them and laser therapy for next 5 days. Yeh am lucky to be an early grower...i feel oral minoxidil might have played a good part in such an early growth.
  2. When undergoing a hair transplant, it's important to be aware of the different stages involved. Initially, there's a phase where most of the transplanted hairs will naturally shed, typically occurring within the first 3 months after the procedure. Following this shedding phase, the growth phase begins, during which you'll gradually notice new hairs sprouting. But sometimes the shed is also not even and it varies from person to person. Throughout the growth phase, it's important to understand that there will be fluctuations in the rate of hair growth. It's possible that one side of your head may exhibit more rapid growth while the other lags behind. At certain points, you might even observe that the hair has grown, but the density remains lower than desired. There will be certain months where you will get more growth and you will not see any noticeable growth the following month. There will be some spots where there will be no growth which may create a patchy appearance. During the post-transplantation phase, it's common to experience patchiness at the donor site due to shock loss. Similarly, shock loss can also affect the transplanted zone, leading to further hair loss and concerns about the outcome. This may cause native hairs to fall out, giving the impression that the situation is worse than before the surgery. Additionally, issues like pimples, numbness, and redness may persist longer than expected, but these are all part and parcel of the surgery. However, it's crucial to maintain patience and trust the process. After approximately 12 months, everything should come together harmoniously, resulting in a well-blended and natural-looking head of hair so this is a long journey my friend and patience is the key. I hope this helps you to calm your nerves now and then...Best of luck..Happy growing and keep updating brother...
  3. Slit making is a crucial step in hair transplant surgery because it determines the direction, angle, depth, and density of hair growth. These incisions try to mimic the native hair direction and density, ensuring the transplanted hair looks natural and blends seamlessly with the existing hair. Properly made slits also facilitate the precise placement of grafts, maximizing their survival and growth post-surgery. Essentially, slit making is vital for achieving aesthetically pleasing results. In addition to mimicking the natural hair pattern and facilitating precise graft placement, slit making in hair transplant surgery is important for minimizing trauma to the scalp tissue. By carefully creating small, precise incisions, surgeons can reduce the risk of damage to surrounding blood vessels and nerves, leading to faster healing and less post-operative discomfort for the patient. This meticulous approach also helps to minimize scarring and ensure optimal outcomes for the transplant recipient. I hope this helps you . Good luck .
  4. This situation arises due to the fact that the quality and alignment of the transplanted hair follicles do not perfectly align with those of your natural hair. Despite meticulous efforts by surgeons to replicate the angles of your natural hair growth, achieving an exact match is challenging, particularly evident with very short hairstyles where any discrepancies become more noticeable. However, as time progresses, there is a likelihood that the texture of the transplanted hair will undergo some changes, gradually aligning more closely with the texture of your natural hair.
  5. If you be conservative than somewhere around 1500 to 1700 would fine...but if you lower your hairline too much than it can require more grafts...
  6. This 👆 Just specifically for your hairs, what you are already taking, is enough.
  7. It's advisable not to choose between minoxidil and finasteride but consider using both, as they complement each other. Typically, they are prescribed together and should be under a doctor's supervision, not self-administered. Some experience shedding initially, while others don't, so don't be overly concerned about it. It's unlikely to worsen your hair situation, and there's potential for improvement. Its essential to consult a doctor and do all the required reports and then create a medication regime that safely suits your needs. A tailor made dosage which can help your hairs and cut down the side effects. Most side effects are temporary and diminish as your body adjusts. Only a small percentage of individuals have to discontinue due to persistent side effects. As the previous poster mentioned, maintaining a positive outlook is crucial. Excessive worry may lead to the well-known NOCEBO effect. I hope this helps you. Good luck.
  8. That's why in some cases its better to have a physical consultation than an online one...pics are sometimes deceiving..it all depends on angles..in your last set of pics your 2nd pic exposes your donor properly and it looks weak and i think 3500 from that donor would be difficult to extract..in rest of the pictures it looks a bit better. i can understand you can't fly to the other part of world just for consultations but at least you can consult a good hair transplant surgeon who is around you so you can get some idea...
  9. Your donor is looking average so a proper donor management is required if you decide to go for a HT...even if you are on meds there is a possibility that you can loose more ground so plan accordingly...one positive thing is your head size is small so you will require less grafts to cover the bald area. Actually you look great in buzz cut so one more thing you can consider is just fix your hairline without lowering it and distribute rest of the grafts evenly and than do smp to creat an illusion of density and than keep a very short hairstyle..you can hide your scars on donor with smp too.
  10. You can switch to topical finasteride and oral minoxidil after consulting with your doctor...some people shed and some don't so no one can exactly say that you will shed or you won't...bt yeah oral minoxidil does have better efficacy compared to topical.
  11. She is a good doctor ..works look very clean ..can you please share your pre op pics...Happy growing and keep updating brother.
  12. This is unbelievable stuff...dr pittela is just tearing the limits...you have chosen a great doctor for giga+ session....really excited to follow your journey...Happy growing and keep updating brother...
  13. Yeh you can visit them..you just need to avoid direct sunlight for long so an umbrella would helpful if you are out in day time plus just take care that you don't bump your head anywhere so chaotic places should be avoided for safety reasons...other than this you are fine and fit to go.
  14. Your concern about hair recession at a young age is evident in your pictures. While it's commendable that you're proactive about preserving your hair, considering a hair transplant is premature due to your age. It's advisable to consult an experienced doctor to develop a safe and tailored medication regimen rather than self-prescribing. Taking action is great, but it's crucial to involve a professional in your hair care journey.
  15. Looking excellent brother. I too use sea salt spray befire i blow dry my hair and than small amount of matt clay which gives my hair more texture and it looks fuller..you can also try Aveda hair thickening spray before you blow dry your hair which will instantly make your hair more fuller and thicker and the product is all natural and it also protects your hairs from heat during blow drying...
  16. Your progress is remarkable, and Dr. Keser is an outstanding doctor. You are going through the worst phase in your transplant journey so please stay calm and trust the process. It's a positive note that your donor recovered swiftly. The numbness may last a few more months but will gradually fade. Based on my experience, complete healing might take around 6 months, possibly longer in minor cases. So, don't be concerned, it's a natural part of the recovery process. In the process of a hair transplant, it's essential to be aware of distinct stages. Initially, within the first 3 months, there's a shedding phase where transplanted hairs fall out. Following this, a gradual growth phase begins, marked by new hair sprouting. During this growth phase, there may be uneven growth rates, with one side growing faster than the other. There could be months with noticeable growth and others with slower progress or even spots with no growth, creating a patchy appearance. Sometimes the donor takes more time to heal completely and look even resulting in moth eaten patchy donor appearance. There can be numbness and discomfort lingering for around 6 months or more, there can be redness for few months ,there can be pimples breaking out,and all this issues are a part and parcel of the long journey. The key is patience and trust in the process. After about 12 months, everything will fall in place, resulting in a well-blended and natural-looking head of hair. It's a lengthy journey, but patience is the key to a successful outcome. I hope this helps you to calm your nerves now and then. Happy growing and keep updating brother.
  17. You are lucky to get a decent outcome with your first clinic and am glad that you have chosen a good doctor this time...you density issues will be resolved this time plus those temples will frame your face better and will lift up the visual appeal..best of luck ..Happy growing and keep updating brother.
  18. The hair line implantation is looking perfect ...dr pinto is an excellent choice when it comes to hairline work...
  19. Your donor looks perfect and you already getting good growth brother...the density kicks in at the later half of the journey..in first half its like more of new hair sprouting than the density and later half would be more density and less new grafts sprouting...you will surely have an excellent outcome.
  20. Work looks clean and you are now ending your shedding phase and now the growth will start to kick in..initially you will see baby hairs sprouting out all over the transplanted area which later on will start growing dense...upcoming few months will be the most exciting months of your life..Happy growing and keep updating brother.
  21. This is looking excellent for just 4 months ...you will get more growth and density in coming months...dr couto will surely knock this out of the park.
  22. Excellent result brother...what's ur medication regime ?
  23. Imho you are too naive at this moment to take a call on your surgery or surgeon. I'd like to explain how surgery should be approached —> As a first step, you should address the underlying cause of your hair loss...even if you undergo surgery, if your hair loss continues, then you will be in the same state again soon...surgery won't solve your hair loss problem... It is therefore important to consult a good doctor who is more familiar with hair loss and begin medication. This can stabilize, slow down, or reverse your hair loss...this is the key to a successful outcome...to reap the benefits of medication, you need to take it religiously for the full 12 months and then reassess your situation and plan accordingly. Medication can also make your donor more healthy, so all of this will make you a better candidate for HT. —>In addition to taking medication, you should also educate yourself. You can use this 12 month period to research more about hair transplant surgery, learn more about the whole process, and understand the nuances. Research good doctors around the world who has real patient reviews posted on forums and shortlist around 4-5 doctors based on your findings, and then consult all of them to determine who best fits your needs and expectations. Taking all of the above things into account will pave the way for a successful surgery. I hope this helps you ...best of luck.
  24. Surgery is a one time event which is a significant one and convenience shouldn't be a factor in choosing a surgeon. Should never let convenience be an influencing factor tbh. So imho you should choose the one whose results you like the most and the one in whom you have greater confidence.
  25. Actually what i believe is there is nothing like a good doctor for high NW case...any doctor who is good will handle all types of cases but yeah if we see who are the ones who are able to do it successfully in single session consistently than we can name dr zarev and dr pittela..even hdc is pulling up in this game of giga sessions and showing cases where they are doing high amount of grafts in single session. So if you are looking for doctors who can do it in single session thn you have got 3-4 options to consider and if you are planning to do it in phased out approach with multiple sessions than you have got many more doctors to consider.
