  1. Before you decide on doing a third HT, you must first establish what your goals are. Do you want to cover the scar? Or do you want to increase density in the front and maybe crown? Unfortunatly, when a scar is that bad, the yield will be very low, even with a strip of 25-28 cm and 1-1.3 cm, most of it will be scar tisue, the more scar tisue the less FU's there are. It's a bitch, but that is the way it is.....To give you an example. I had 23 cm long by 14mm wide strip, the original scar was about 3-4 mm, donor density in that area was 73 fu per cm square, my Dr. got 1903 fu, to get 4000 fu, from your area would be impossible, unless you go for FUE, and even then it will leave your donor area very thin. I think you should really think about what is more important, and then consult with as many top surgeons as you can to get the proper treatment....That is the reality of multiple HT....I wish you luck my friend. Just a thought from the peanut gallery...
  2. Both are excellent surgeons, I personally like Dr. Rahal's hairline design and placement, I also think he is slightly more agressive than Dr. Feller. I suggest you consult with as many HT Dr.'s as possible before making any decisions... Just a thought from the peanut gallery...
  3. I find johnsons baby shampoo, and conditioner to be the best shampoo for the buck....Very gentle and no more tears...lol Just a thought from the peanut gallery...
  4. I beleive that you should wait 18-24 months. Give your scalp time to heal and regenarate the nerves. Just a thought from the peanut gallery...
  5. Your right Bill., "do comb in" probably thinks were all nut jobs...lol... Just a thought from the peanut gallery....
  6. Start to apply the poly imidiatlly after surgery...Keep applying untill 2 - 3 days after stitches are removed... Just a thought from the peanut gallery...
  7. Hey Javed, apply plysporin or neosporin, 2 to 3 times a day...Wash your scar with lukwarm water in the shower at least twice daily...Taking vit. c 1000 mg also helps speed up healing...Other than that, there is not much else you can do...It's basiclly a time thing...All wounds heal themeselves with time...Keeping it clean will help avoid any infections... Just a thought from the peanut gallery...
  8. That's got to be the biggest session I have ever seen.....Congrats....Good luck and happy growing...You'll need a lawn mower in 18 months..lol Just a thought from the peanut gallery...
  9. The good news is that the first HT will help to add density to your second...Which by the way looks great...So maybe it wasn't such a bad decision after all.... Just a thought from the peanut gallery...
  10. I don't think your a victim, just trying to give you some advice based on my own expierince...I alwys said that HT are not for everyone...especially those who are very young...It seems that you learnt that the hard way...If we can help someone else from making an un-informed decision...well than maybe it's well worth it...It never hurts to try!! Just a thought from the peanut gallery...
  11. Hairloss is never fun...but obviously, the younger you are the harder it is...I'm not gonna sit here and tell you things like, concentrate on girls, working out, enjoying life, etc...Because you have probably already heard all that stuff LMS...What I will tell you is not to rush into anymore HT anytime soon...I think this whole HT buisiness has affected your perseption and your self image. Back away for a while and look at things from the "outside" in...I bet you will realise it's not as bad as you thought!.......WE ARE OUR OWN WORST ENEMY... Just a thought from the peanut gallery...
  12. That's not nice Emperor...We all have our demons..Besides, this is a "public" forum, as long as we refrain from "slander" or defamation without proof, anyone has the right to say what they want!!You don't have like or beleive what LMS has to say, but you do have to respect him, along with all the other posters... Just a thought from the peanut gallery
  13. I don't know if LMS is "planning" on getting another HT or not....What I do know is that sometimes you "have" to get a 2nd or 3rd HT to "fix",refine or touch up the first...Like I said in another post, it's like seeding a lawn...It grows in patchy and thin...but eventually it does fill in...but even then, there will be some "bald", "thin" patches which will require "re-seeding".... Just a thought from the peanut gallery....
  14. I have to echo HairDew. When I was reaserching for my 2nd HT....Dr. A was in my top 5...Phenomanal work and very ethical...I give him two thumbs up... Just a thought from the peanut gallery....
  15. The work looks vry clean, the scar is not that noticable, looks like you were wearing a hat...try some dermatch to cover the scar...It seems that you are a Nw6, 1900+ grafts will give you slight coverage, but no volume, density. Why did you get such a small procedure with such advanced balding? What is your donor, laxity, cost? Anyways you will probably need a second procedure, and maybe even a third if you go consevative with the grafts each time..IMHO...Good luck and happy growing...Nice work Dr.D... Just a thought from the peanut gallery...
  16. I say just shave down, and get on with your life. Ht are not for everybody, neither are hair pieces...You may think that being bald is ugly, a bad HT or a hair piece falling off, not looking natural is way worse... Just a thought from the peanut gallery...
  17. Lol...I guess I'm screwed.... Just a thought from the peanut gallery...
  18. 1200 hairs is about 530 grafts,(2.2 hairs average per graft), I don't think that is enough to make much of a cosmetic difference..IMHO..If you can cut it in 5, sure, but 4 will be just fine, (.25mg+- won't make a huge differnce). Pro-scar,(finasterde), doesn't really regrow much hair, it stops or slows down hair loss, I've never used Minox. so I can't really comment on it, but it is beleived to reverse miniturised hairs, to terminal hairs, increse shaft diameter, and "possibly" grow some hair,(on the crown area)...The only problem is that it can cause severe shedding for the first couple of months, and some of those hairs might not come back...If you stop minox, you can lose any benifits gained, quite quickly...hair becomes minox dependant...at least this is my understanding... 19. I'm about 1 month post-op from my second HT. In total, I have had 4600+ FU to the frontal 1/3. I have no crown loss or visable thining....38 yrs old, been on propecia for over 2yrs....I have yet to see the final results of my second HT...and I find myself already thinking about how much more hair I can get!!I don't know if it's hair greed or I am just addicted...lol...When can you say that enough is enough...Where does it end? Are HT like other cosmetic procedures? When you get a face lift...look good...than you need lipo...tummy tuck...etc...etc..., For you guys out there with more expirience, when were you satisfied? Is it just me? Unbeleivable.... Just a thought from the peanut gallery....

  21. Welcome back! Is it 1200 hairs? Or 1200 grafts? Not the same thing. To answer your questions, I'll do my best... 1. They can cause shock loss, but will probably come back...3-4 months. 2.Never to soon to start pro-scar...you should have been on it before you even had your first HT. Remember to cut the pill in 4, take 1/4 pill each day, (1.25 mg). A whole proscar is 5mg...to much for hair loss. 3. If you didn't see any blood, chances are there is nothing to worry about. Hope this helps... Just a thought from the peanut gallery....
  22. Looking good bro...I wish I had that much hair.. Just a thought from the peanut gallery...
  23. My first HT was done by mostly the techs, (placed grafts), the injections, strip removal, and slits were done by the surgeon...On my second, the doc did all of the work with his techs at his side helping, he was seated next to me for the entire 10 hours. I also think that my second was much cleaner and less painfull than the first. Just a thought from the peanut gallery....
  24. In the era of information, it's surprising (and maybe unfortunate) to see that ordinary people are sometimes more informed about some health matters than many doctors... So I guess next time I need some medical advice or treatment, I should go down to the local 7 eleven, and ask the cashier for advice? Your a funny guy SERIOUS...
  25. Shock loss can be so unpredicatable, I don't think it will be permanant, you have to watch your health, physically and emotionally...Stress will only make things worse!Your a young guy, you will pull through this with flying colours....Just imagine what you will look like in 12 months....Best of lock buddy... Just a thought from the peanut gallery...
