  1. Day 2 Went back to the clinic for the wash and add the second PRP injection. Freaky seeing my head so pink.
  2. you hve no clue what you are talking about and your post implies that white males are the default and "natural" hairline. I really hope your not a professional spouting that kind of non sense.
  3. July 27th Operation Day 1: Clinic was clean and professionally, alot better than I expected. From what you hear on this sub I semi-expected it to be in a basement with bad lightning and mold. Arrived at clinic at 9am, they took my blood and hooked up the IV thing to my arm that they would later use when to supply antibiotics/vitamin C. 930am to 130pm two technicians extracted grafts. Another what I presume to be a nurse checked my blood pressure every hour. This process was brutal, the anesthetic needles are the part everyone talks about being the worst, for me this part sucked but being in the awkward positions while being faced down on the table is what I hated the most. 2pm - 7pm the 12 year veteran technician cut the incisions for the channels and then two technicians came in an added the grafts. This part wasnt bad besides the anesthetic needles. I was able to sleep for an hour or two dring this process. Following the surgery, they walked us through the dos and do nots with care documents + Medicine(antiobiotics, aspirin, anti sweeling, pain medicine.)
  4. Hi everyone, I posted a few weeks ago about graft strategy prior to my surgery in Turkey. I went with Asli Tarcan as they have among the most documented cases of successful hair transplants for black men online. There is a community of black men who have gone to Asli Tarcan and chatting about their experiences there. The biggest red flag is the clinics willingness to do 5500+ graft sessions. Some black men have recovered perfectly in their donor area but others have not. For that reason I told them to cap it at 4500 grafts. My end goal is to have consistency in my hair and be able to grow my hear to 6mm. I dont want an afro and or anything like that, I am realistic and understand that such hairstyles are out of the question. Some vids of amazing transformation from those who went to asli tarcan. Pictures of PRE-OP hair at 2.5 weeks growth attached.
  5. This is a terrible example because he had the purest and easiest case of hair loss(receding not diffusing.)
  6. Hi Melvin that is a shockingly dismissive opinion. These are regularly black dudes from the states/UK you have gone to turkey, they dont even have referral codes or discounts. They have documented their journey from Day 0 to 18 months in some cases. The amount of black men sharing their journey exploded early 2019 prior to that you could find maybe two videos on youtube of black men who got transplants. Some of these guys I remain in contact with and chat here and there on best practices pre and post surgery. I am not going to talk about transplants for non black hair as I didnt research that but I have a strong feeling you are very ignorant when it comes to black hair.
  7. Thanks for your response, this is exactly the perspective I was looking for. When you say "You have hair that goes very high up on the sides", what do you mean? You are aboslutely right that I will need another HT in the next 2-3 years which i am totally okay with. I dont plan to grow an afro or any elaborate hair style, if i can have a #1 and keep my hair at 4mm-6mm I would be pretty happy. Would you say that I should have grafts all through out the hair I have outlined but concentrate on the spots that are totally thinned out or are you thinking I should only focus on the near bald spots? They said I should be able to get 600-1000 grafts from my beard
  8. Hey Melvin, take a look at these two guys who went to "cheap" clinics in turkey. Tell me what you think of their results
  9. Thanks for your reply. That forecssted breakdown is exactly what I was looking for. Ii came into this knowing I would need 2 transplants. Doing the front area and leaving the crown is an absolute non starter. I rather have everything look 70% ok vs 90% good in the front area and leave crown bald. They stated they could get about 600-1000 grafts from my beard which would bring me to a total of ~5000 grafts. One thing I am trying to decide if it makes sense only doing the areas that are extremely thin and leaving the areas that are semi thin for the next surgery. I just didn't want to play wackamole but I am realistic about my chances in one session.
  10. Thanks Melvin. How are you assessing my donor area ? I am surprised at the doubt about my donor capacity. I went to two doctors in canada and they said my donor area is plentiful? I hope your reasoning is based on black donor area relativity
  11. I'm going to the same clinic in turkey that about 20 black men who have vlogged their experience in youtube went to. I have no concern over their ability just thinking about graft allocation strategy
  12. I didnt brush my hair so it was kind of "nappy". Take a look now. Can you answer the question i posed as well.
  13. Melvin, I am a big fan but you are being hard headed and arrogant if you think paying 2k USD for 3,000 grafts vs 20k USD for 3,000 graft is not extremely attractive to many and justifiably so.
  14. Hi All, I was wondering if you guys would be willing to share your thoughts on my hair loss graft surgery. Attached I have drawn what I would like. Because I am diffusing it is a bit more complicated. I will be going to turkey and told them to cap it at 4,000 grafts maximum. Key areas for me are the crown, the hairline(i dont care about dropping it just making it stronger) and the red circles in between. My mentality was that I would want the entire area i have drawn around but i dont believe I can do it all in one session. Edit: please no comments about turkey. I am going and simply asking for opinions on graft allocation.
  15. Amazing man. I'm heading to cinik this summer as well. Hoping the Corona pandemic is settled by then. Is there a reason why he didnt do the mid scale area ?
  16. saw palmetto is terrible for you. Hate that this forum facilitates such terrible decisions.
  17. Dude I totally get why you are so upset but you are being irrational. Think about what people were telling you about running a cycle at age 18. I'm sure many told you, you were making a huge mistake that you ended up paying for. Listen to the doctor and let the hair be.
  18. Hey ma, went to a local hair transplant doctor and they said it was standard hair loss and mpb. I should book an appointment with a dermatologist and get their opinion but I'm already 100% set on a ht. Can you post your pics?
