Hey, thank you very very much and sorry for the late reply!

Nope, unfortunately it's around 8000-8500 total. So I guess I have 4k something left. Still enough to have a decent crown coverage as I was told, so I'm okay with it. I will definitely keep updating, thanks!

And yeah, I didn't know about it but post op kit is indeed included in surgery package. It was very convenient though, so I would strongly recommend everyone to use it. Apart from somewhat average food (in my opinion), everything else was great: cool driver, nice room, a ton of medications, etc.

Thanks for your reply. I think with another 4000 grafts you will cover everything for sure.
Cant wait to see your updates.
    Thanks for sharing.

I've reached the 4 month mark. And to be honest I'm at a point where I don't feel like pulling my hair back an taking pictures from nine different angels.
So from now on I will take three pictures with my hair styled. Because that's how I will look in public and it will give a better representation of the current state of my hair.

You can clearly see where the hair is a bit thinner at the temples, but when the hairs get thiiic down the line it bit will hopefully be a lot better.

  4. This looks really something great! The before-after, just wow!

But, and there is a big BUT here... What I would ask a clinic in a case like this is, why on earth, with such a fabulous result you present a blurry video and photos??? I do not like this. I mean, it the result is amazing, why not invest in having a better content? There is no excuse nowadays to say "my camera is not good enough"...

Please, please, post some clear images so that we can really see what seems to be an outstanding result.

    Thanks a lot for sharing!

    Love that new hairline!

And what a density... Couto is truly a Magician! 🧙‍♂️

This is a fantastic result!!! @RMancini   What are your feeling about the current result at 7 months? Have your friends and family tell you anything? Have they noticed the change?

That hairline looks amazing! You must be really happy.

    Good morning everyone,

I'm glad to share with all you guys the half way (theoretically) of the journey: 6 months update after my FUT+FUE procedure with Dr. Gabel.

Again, I tried to take pictures in different light environments: living room (natural environment light), close to the window (sun light) and bathroom (harsh light).

Personally, I'm happy as it is and my expectations are covered. So any improvements in the next few months would be like an "extra" to me.

Keep doing minoxidil 5% two times a day (but very little amount on each application) and 0.5 mg finasteride per day.

    Have a nice weekend!

Most people wouldn’t even know what they’re looking at, they would just think its the haircut. Only someone who knows could detect them, and if they know it’s cause they’ve had one or are interested in getting one, so who cares.

If you look closely you’ll see scars, but nothing that I’m concerned about.

Sometimes during past summer I have suspected of people having a HT. I have tried to check their donors either on a pool or at the beach and I could never say for sure if they had had a FUE procedure.

So that's why FUE (if done with a good surgeon) gives peace of mind to those who go for it.

By the way, great looking donor.

Thanks, I honestly started to become delusional and try to believe the result is actually ok. When I saw this post below I wanted to create a topic because user's experience seemed similar to mine; https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/56597-my-ht-at-asmed-and-dr-koray-erdogan-january-2017/?tab=comments#comment-538567

Regarding another hair transplant I actually don't want to rush and also a bit tired about this whole hair transplant process. If I do it's not gonna be in Turkey definitely.

They already knew about my case that's why they offered to work on frontal to increase the density. The area they worked was already small and had hair so it shouldn't be hard to perform well for such clinic. I also went to clinic every day during the first 10 days for the wash because I didn't want to take any risk. The remaining amount in my donor is around 2500 so I want to save it for my crown part.

I actually don't know what people do when they end up with such results and getting ignored by the clinics like that.

    Thanks again

Thanks for your answer and info.

With those 2500 grafts you have left you can achieve a good result for sure. And yes, do not rush into anything. Take your time and find the best fit to do your next HT.

Lots of support and thanks a lot for sharing your story.

3 month update: Houston -- we have lift off!

Finally some growth, particularly on left side (3rd pic), right side (4th pic) has some catching up to do.

FUT scar is still healing and pink (particularly on left side where I bumped my head post-op and opened up a suture). Sides are buzzed to 3.5 guard.

    Hairline:

Hi guys! sorry for the delay in updating.

Tomorrow my HT will be 5 months, I have taken these pictures today.

Obviously it is progressing very well, the hairline is already being defined and I have very good coverage, but it still lacks density. Hoping it fills more in the coming months as the doctor has predicted, but I'm already significantly better!

    Hi all,

Since everyone on this forum has been instrumental in my years of research for the best surgeon for me, I figured I'd pay it back by making this thread about my 3,200 FUT frontal restoration procedure with Dr. Konior. I traveled from Miami to Chicago for the procedure.

Dr. Konior initially scheduled me for a 3,000 graft FUT to restore the front hair line and densely pack. He ended up extracting around 3,200. It's only been 48 hours since the procedure, so I don't have any exact counts yet. I'll ask and get the exact numbers and types of grafts (singles, doubles, triples, etc) during my check ups this week.

    DAY OF SURGERY:

I arrived at 6:30AM and quickly began the in-person consult with Dr. Konior. My first impression was exactly why I consider him to be one of the best in the business. We literally spent over an hour discussing the perfect hairline design for me. He tweaked it every few seconds for at least 20 minutes until it was perfect. As others have noted, he's a true perfectionist. I initially was nervous to ask for a slightly more aggressive hairline, but we both agreed on an age appropriate yet significantly lowered hairline that nicely filled in my temples. I promised to stay on finasteride/minoxidil for life (I already have been on moxidil for 4 years, and topical finasteride for 1 uear) so I can at least maintain my native hairs.

After the 1 hour consult and agreement on the hairline, it was time to go into the operating room. I was given medication to help me relax and dose off. Every time I woke up, Dr. Konior was right by my side. I don't think he ever left the room except for when I had my own breaks for lunch and bathroom. I was extremely comfortable. Like others have mentioned, the only slightly painful part was the injection of the numbing agent in the donor area. The best part of this entire experience was that there was no rush. We had all day, I was the only patient he was seeing that day, and he did  the entire procedure with only minimal help from technicians (based on what I could feel/hear -- my eyes were covered with a gauze). The primary technician has been with him for 27 years.

It was a long day. The procedure ended at around 9PM. So, 6:30AM until 9PM. Since the procedure, I've had some discomfort on the incision line (to be expected) but the recipient area doesn't hurt at all. The pain relief meds have definitely helped tons.

    PRE-OP PHOTOS:

I'm pretty swolen, so I'm sure once the swelling goes down so too will the hairline height. Either way, I'm thrilled thus far. You can tell it's really nicely/densely packed. Once I receive the exact numbers I will update the community.

Lastly, I just want to say thank you all for sharing your experiences on this forum. I hope to pay it forward with this post and future updates.

    Now, the waiting game..

Wow, this looks just perfect! Beautiful work by Dr Konior.

Gonna be an outstanding result! Thanks for showing your updates.
