  1. So, I've had a bit of shed lately. Noticed it happening few months back. Been very gradual with the exception of the past week or so. I'm not too concerned as Ill note a couple things below. Still plenty of hair to use concealers i.e Toppik/Dermamatch. Seems to be a ton of hairs still there actually, just thinned out. The thicker hairs near the part are very reminiscent of what happened when I grew it back as well. So crossing my fingers! (again)

I've admittedly been careless during the 2020 quarantine, exactly the opposite of what should have happened considering I was home all day.

I would skip Fin completely some days, sometimes 2 or 3 days in a row. At one point recently I went about a week without it because of a shipping issue. I would skip derma rolling and supplements as well.

I was just extremely  stressed because I hadn't made and money from Feb until about August. And the end of the year wasn't great either. So I was just neglecting everything in general.

I also stopped using Minox in September and started using DSLab products as a replacement. I wonder if this new product could cause shed as even with Minox shedding early on is a thing. or if not using Minox was a bad thing? I am now stuck in a hamster wheel of products and processes not knowing whats what! LOL

I just started a new business as well  and my stress (who would have thought) is now triple what it was so that may be effecting my body as well.

I will continue the regime, as strict as I started it and not neglect the processes like I did last year. Figured I would update the journey. I started this in 2018 so in am going on 3 years (Sept 2021).

  2. Ive posted about Hairsystems Heydecke before. They are good but they are not perfect, but who is? I would say if you have the frontal like that guy does most salons leave it there for a more natural look.

I have been contemplating a small one for crown because after 2 years of derma rolling and using product Ive realized w/o a transplant its not growing in much more.

Look up phildoeshair on Instagram, another guy that is very good at systems.

    Hey Shifty,

Is it important to use the Pen for the front, versus a regular roller do you think?

Also, are there cheaper alternatives that the Dr Pen brand? They seem to be the best, but I haven't bought anything of yet.

Its just my preference. I find it easier and less painful. Same goes for crown area, the pen hurts more there  the roller doesnt.

I am sure there are cheaper alternatives via amazon. I purchased from amazon and the thing stopped working so I bought directly fro the dr pen website the 2nd one, an A7.

  4. Obviously if you look at my post in signature you will see all my documentation of what your looking for.

For the sake of this post.

I use 1.0 -1.5 on front (Dr. Pen) and a 1.5 roller on my crown.

I have stopped using Minoxidil altogether in September and replaced it with nanoxidil and have not seen any discernible differences. Plus the nanoxidil is a way easier application.

To share my experience and opinion about prp. I did 7-8 prp treatments + mesotherapy in 2019

I did not notice any great progress, only the hair grew faster, nothing special happend.

My opinion is: quite expensive therapy with questionable effect.

I think it s better to save money, and stick to: finasterid, minoxidil, dutasterid, alfatradiol and dermaroller

I would look at the thread mentioned above. Just because it did not work, does not mean it will not work.

  6. I know there are a bunch of threads on this, but I specifically remember someone mentioning what to look for when entertaining PRP. So I don't have to search months of thread maybe someone can shed some light as I start my research, Like centrifuge, how they extract blood, etc etc.

    Maybe there are better alternatives?

Also, I am in NY if there are any doctors that would like to put your money where your mouth is, DM me. I'd be willing to travel a reasonable distance if what is presented is worth it.

Holy crap man 😱 @Shiftyand @hairlossPA have some competition. This is absolutely incredible.

In my defense he definitely had more hair than me before LOL I've been finesteride free for the past week because of a delivery issue.  My crown is still a sore point. even though I think I've made some slight gains in the front.

This was taken in August with some fiber toward the back/crown area.

So, somehow the folder with all the photos I had taken previously disappeared from my computer, i tried a restore to a specific date didn't help. not sure what happened but my thread is now my only reference.

Ill update the post soon to show progress or lack thereof

@Shifty is the ds laboratories shampoo any better? Using the hair restoration laboratories one at the minute, wanted to change it around for a bit. Seen a lot of mixed reviews on the ds laboratories one tho! Cheers 😊

I like it, I still use the HRL 2/3 days a week. Using the DS for the other days. The DS states use 5 days a week the HRL is 3. So I'm just using them both.  I will note I've recently stopped using Minox and exclusively use DS spray so we shall msee how that goes, so far no changes Ive noticed in the around month or so ive stopped miox.

If I'm not looking to wear my hair short at all times, isn't this a bad idea? I usually wear my hair longer (2 or a 3) when I get a haircut. But it would be nice to get a zero at the back of my head so that I can get a nice transition during tapered haircuts.

I would think it a great idea with long hair because ultimately it darkens the area. it would be the same mechanism as say hair fibers, but permanent.

This guy Shifty is the king of doing everything short of a hair transplant. No guarantee you'll respond as well as he has, but he's always looking for new stuff and adding/subtracting from his regimen. Click on the diagonal arrow in the top right below to view it. If you scroll back through you can see how far he's come.

I think the worst thing I tried was Emu oil.....not sure what I was thinking lol

  11. Intermittent fasting, not just stopping everything is beneficial for your body to function properly. It is part of what I do as seen in my signature. Liquid fasts IMO are terrible. Your body needs nutrients to function, even something as small as blinking your eye. Drinking just liquids is not smart. FYIO I have done intermittent fasting for 60 days with no issues whatsoever.
