Thanks! I do appreciate the candor! I cut my hair pretty high and tight as is. So I’m more concerned about the scabs being visible, as opposed to the length of hair. The doctors said that they can work to buzz it down so it doesn’t look so pronounced in donor area.

i can live with the thinning, basically, but less with the scabs. How long until you think those traces will remove? I know It sounds like I’m asking the same question, but just seeing what I can do to minimize the disruption

In my experience the scabs in the donor are some of the first to fall off, I’d say by around 7-10 days they were mostly gone. However, as most have mentioned, there will still be healing going on and less density evident.

An equal or even more number of grafts can be extraced through FUE wherein even the beard and body hair can be used in the process. There is transection during FUT too. Plus it also has permanent shock loss around the donor area.

Wrong. But since you work for an only fue clinic, I’m not surprised you are making this claim

@Chris32 in my opinion I believe we should be glad that there are Doctors humble enough to say they don’t believe they will be able to achieve the results the patient is expecting and ethical enough to abort a surgery instead of just taking the patient money and risk achieving a bad result.
Pekiner only does 1 patient per day so he lost 3 days of turnover at his clinic by rejecting @PT#31.
This is a Doctor that values his patients results more than money but it’s also fact he doesn’t like taking risks.

@PT#31 was devasted when his surgery was aborted but he’s now very grateful it happened because it allowed him to go to Dr. BrunoFerreira that is used to doing surgery on patients with miniaturized hair or DUPA at Lorenzo’s clinic (world authority on DUPA patients) so he has a much better chance now to get the results he was expecting.

Is pekiner aborting surgeries Bc he is ethical or is he aborting surgeries Bc he’s afraid of bad cases being posted online and affecting his reputation that he’s trying to make? His rep here was attacking a member from Russia that had posted his bad results and after that it seemed like he started aborting more and more operations.

Although this is not related to my HT procedures, I had the awful nightmarish experience of having my hair system fall off during the night and it had fallen down between the headboard and mattress.

I had just started dating this nice lady and when we woke up together the next morning, she nearly shrieked the words, "Your head!"

I went directly to my wall mirror only to discover my hair system was missing and when I turned around, she was dressing and leaving and I never saw her again!

Obviously this takes alot of courage to share but the experience has much to do with motivating me to move forward with my first HT procedure.

I wore hair systems for roughly 11 yeas and I hated every minute of it!

I’m sorry gill, that must have been painful. How old were u at the time?

    Hey, guys,
this will be my last contribution regarding my hair transplantation at Asmed. I now had a new hair transplant in which the fail of Asmed should now be fixed. There were 1000 grafts transplanted in the frontal area.

In the opinion of the clinic, Asmed made big mistakes. Not only the rate of growth was not good, but also the angles of the grafts.

In total, Asmed's growth rate was 60-70% and the density was 30 grafts/sq cm. (Asmed claimed a growth rate of >90% and a density of 50 grafts/sqcm)

The whole thing confirmed my opinion that it was the right step to reject the touch up at Asmed.

Since I don't want to have a discussion with the Asmed fans I will not continue this thread. Nevertheless you are welcome to exchange private messages.

Very curious as who did your recent procedure?

Sounds like you gotta deal with some internal issues, especially if you’re dealing with those issues now. If a girl is with you, it’s because she likes you, and yes, some of your friends might be more physically attractive, but that’s only one part of the equation.

Connection is something completely beyond attraction, it’s what keeps people together well past their sexual years, it’s the foundation. That is not something that can be replaced with a nice hairline.

Women don’t want to settle either believe me, beyond looks, women want a man to be established, confident in who they are and where they’re going. Before thinking of a hair transplant, try and work on those internal issues pushing you to compare yourself to others, and coming out on the bottom.

Great post. Second paragraph is what a lot of guys fail to understand

  7. Ghk copper peptides were a thing like 15 or so years ago. Even hair transplant doctors were using a form of it to help would healing post surgery. I don’t hear of any surgeons recommending it nowadays. This tells me it’s bs for the most part.

    no idea what ess60 is.

personally, I’d start off with more proven treatments. Just my opinion tho. Talk to you doctor prior to any rx treatment

Guys, the first ever side effect free topical anti androgen - Clascoterone - has been FDA approved for human use as of today, 8/27/2020

    This is huge news

The initial product is an acne cream vehicle but the same molecule can be used at higher percentages in a liquid - ethanol etc.. for scalp delivery

FIN ins't the only option anymore

    This is great news but

    a) like you said we need a higher concentration which isn’t approved yet

    b) most people don’t want to order from some black market Chinese lab like you’re so fond of. We haven’t seen the best things come out of China as of late

Ok  this is a long video.  TOO long but I needed to discuss a bunch of fue issues on this repair fue and show intraop video.   Don't watch if you get squeemish.

Here's a guy that had a low yield fue and indeed...his donor hair was hard to find the angle initially...but once I found it, we got good beefy hair follicles that OUGHT to grow.

This is probably a video for newbies...not old hats, so to speak, so that folks see some of the challenges with FUE.

3 more short FUE videos coming in the next couple of weeks.

    The video is:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crCcT2lah2w

Those grafts look to be sticking out pretty high. What’s the reason for that? Larger punch size? Can that lead to cobblestoning?

Determining a 10% yield is very difficult if not impossible to do...if anything, it's probably more of a guess.

If the doctor was reputable with proven results over a long period, than there is much more to the equation.

How is your overall health?...did you complete a medical history before your procedure?...might you be on any medications that could have affected the yield?...what about scarring...were there any issues with that?

You might also want to consider having complete blood work done before having the next procedure.

What kind of medications would affect yield?
