  1. No probs please inbox me anything else dont want to derail this thread :-)
  2. Well i travelled back from Turkey the day after my procedure. So a week will be fine! Scabs vary from person to person. Mine for example was all off in about 6/7 days! P.S Istanbul is a great place to visit !
  3. You seem to have good donor hair so it will certainly give the impression like before. Both the surgeons you mentioned are very skilled at recreating hairlines. The tools they use you would not notice anything. Look at some of there results on this website and also there own. I would ask them anything that comes to mind. Have you sent them your pics yet?
  4. Also your right in that you can take donor hair from all the areas you have mentioned. In fact im thinking of going for FUE with my beard hair next !
  5. 50% of your original density would be the norm thats aimed for! Which does give a very good illusion of a full head of hair.
  6. Will be a very good choice using any of the surgeons you mentioned. Going with FUE you wont have any scars :-)
  7. Have to agree with Shadow here. Turkey should be high on your next surgery list. FUE all the way and it would certainly sort out your scar too. I have a horrible scar from x2 FUT but lucky enough for my hair to be able to hide it well..
  8. Excellent work shown there ! looks like this will be another awesome result when it grows in :-)
  9. Hi I started off with the same loss as you appear to have in the first pic. I added approx 2200 via FUT on first HT. So for next HT i went for 3300 again via FUT this provided a good result. However given the option i would have chosen FUE for 2nd surgery. Instead i had FUE for 3rd HT. So i would think approx 3000/3500 FUE would give you a good result.
  10. Just wow ! this looks exceptionally good :-) sure to be a fantastic result !
  11. wow that seems like a excellent improvement ! after only 6 months too, no wonder the guy has a massive smile :-)
  12. In all 3 of my own HT (x2 FUT and x1 FUE) i was given only sufficient medication for the actual surgery required. And all 3 the hair line was drawn before any medication was prescribed/needed. In fact i would say the Dr strived to keep the medication at a minimum througout. And being in the medical profession myself i have a very good understanding of all the varying types of medication. Yes people respond differently to medication - however these changes are under constant supervision by those present and qualified to do so. i find no holes in Dr Umars account of this event. It does sound like buyers remorse.
  13. It seems Dr Umar has covered every single point in detail which seems accurate and very concise. i was waiting for his response as im sure everybody else was.
  14. Too early to tell. Will start growing soon im sure of it. Not everybody is a fast grower. Mine seem to be slower each time i have HT done !
  15. They say the crown is the black hole for grafts. However i had 1500 grafts in mine and its made a world of difference. Like you i had a circular gap - although mine was slightly smaller. Also i noticed it carried on improving up to 18 months after surgery !
  16. Hi I waited 12 months between my 2 FUT procedures and then another 18 months before getting FUE. Like you i concentrated on my crown area 2nd HT. Your growth is looking great for 5 months !
  17. I would consider FUE if i was you and getting less than a 1000 grafts. I had FUE done in Turkey after emailing and sending pics to the Dr. There are quite a few Drs in Turkey that are on the recommended list. Price varies between them. I dont think there is much difference in the survival rates between FUE and FUT to be honest. I had 3500 grafts FUE and the area they took them from had healed in 7 days. And yes i guess you could disguise it with existing hair.
  18. I travelled back from Turkey (Istanbul) to the UK the day after my surgery. I did not wear anything on my head but my head was dry. I had 3500 grafts (FUE) so the back did look quite horrific to be honest. However apart from a few funny looks everything was fine. Airport security etc was not a issue.
  19. Hi It really does depend on the person. Although the beauty of FUE is the option of using body hair, beard hair, nape hair etc. As for head hair which can be used this of course depends on the person. I have had 3500 grafts taken after already having FUT done twice. I have seen cases of more than 10,000 grafts done !
  20. wow this is the biggest number in terms of grafts i have seen! cant wait to see how your 3rd transplant grows out :-)
  21. To write off all FUE procedures because it did not live up to one persons expectations seems a massive over reaction. I believe having the choice to do either FUT or FUE is a good thing. I have had both procedures and there is no way i would have the coverage just by FUE alone. There are always going to be cases where people are not happy with either procedures. Following the posts on here it seems that people have not done enough research - or they go to some unknown surgeon whos not on the recommended list. Discovering this website is a good start ! reading up as much as possible before opting for surgery seems the best way to proceed.
  22. Having had FUT (twice) and more recently FUE i did not have any of your above mentioned issues. It really does depend on the team you choose i believe. I managed to get a very good number of grafts using both the techniques. Yes the recovery time for FUE was quicker and easier to take care of, but FUT was also fine when following the surgeons advice to the letter.
  23. Hey we are all up for a healthy debate. However do you think we can get back to the title of this thread and answer the questions the guy is asking! Hes looking for reassurances and asking some important questions. But the thread has turned in to a debate about FUE tools..... This is now way off topic and i feel for the guy posting up his first thread. The guy was asking some pertinent questions about a treatment regime. Maybe we could get back to doing what a forum is good at and offer him so advice.
